About the Author

Saranna DeWylde has always been fascinated by things better left in the dark. She wrote her first story after watching The Exorcist at a slumber party. Like all writers, Saranna's held a variety of jobs from an operations supervisor to a corrections officer. But as Hemingway said, "Once writing has become your major vice and greatest pleasure, only death can stop it." So she traded in her cuffs for a keyboard and is married to her very own Prince Charming.

I enjoyed this story but be warned-it was only 58 pages on my Nook.

I found myself ridiculously impressed by this novella. I mean normally we get the same cookie cutter story with werewolves don't we. We get a bit of the same conflict, inability to mate, with a plot that is weak to give more focused attention to the sex and the characters. Saranna actually manages to paint a beautiful--yes I say beautiful because the writing is like lace expertly sewn together to weave, smexy, good plot, strong characters. I was drawn into the story totally because it wasn't just the typical, "Oh no your a wolf but big hunky and hung so I must hump you until I'm sore all over." There was a deeper story-telling involved and I really appreciated that. I love reading werewolves tales that push the envelope with violence and intimacy because technically werewolves are 'beasts' animals by blood and nature and Saranna really drove that idea home for the reader. It takes an intelligent reader to really latch onto this this story--I loved it and recommend it to anyone that wants something fresh and not samey!
