About the Author

Clara Donis-Girma was born in Guatemala City. She was adopted as a child and is a cancer survivor. Clara graduated from Southern New Hampshire University with a business degree. She started her own translation business in 2017. Her passion has always been working with children, nature, and pets.

In 2021, Clara and her husband, Daniel, adopted Mr. Milo from a shelter in Central Florida. Clara watched how her nieces and nephews enjoyed playing with Mr. Milo and were interested in learning about shelter pet adoption. This inspired Clara and Mr. Milo’s Adventures series. A heartwarming story that hopes to inspire shelter pet adoption and educate children about pet care needs.

In 2023, Clara released her book “My First Feelings.” She hopes that this easy-to-read book helps little ones understand their primary feelings and encourage them to develop trust in their loved ones to discuss their feelings. Clara has worked with children, and as an adopted child, she knows emotions are hard to understand.

Clara’s favorite place is the beach. She also enjoys spending time with her family. You can find Clara, Mr. Milo, and her husband Daniel enjoying a walk at the park or relaxing by the beach.
