Claudia and the New Girl (The Baby-Sitters Club Series #12) by Ann M. Martin

The hit series is back, to charm and inspire another generation of baby-sitters! Claudia has always been the most outrageous girl in her class . . . until Ashley Wyeth comes along. Ashley's really different--she dresses in hippie clothes, wears six earrings and work boots, and is the most fantastic artist Claudia has ever met. Ashley says Claudia has artistic talent, too, but thinks Claudia should spend more time on her ""calling"" and stop wasting time on the Baby-sitters Club. The Baby-sitters are sick of Ashley Wyeth, and they feel like Claudia is a traitor. Claudia has to decide: either the BSC or the new girl--one of them's got to go! The best friends you'll ever have--with classic BSC covers and a letter from Ann M. Martin!

This one wasn't one of the better ones. Besides, what the heck is a calling? I really don't think Ann spent as much time as she could've on this. Does anyone really like this one? I know I don't really.

There is nothing that interesting happend in this book.It didn't really catch my attention at all.Altough Ann Martin is my favorite author,I can't believe she wrote a boring book like this, comparing to all the other great books she wrote.

This was a wonderful book and I found myself identifying with Claudia when I was younger. When I was young, I was a skilled artist and took art seriously but not as serious as Ashley Wyeth in this story. In addition, I wasn't a poor student, but I wasn't a great student. I found myself having trouble with reading and spelling. However, overtime I began to become interested in things that troubled me when I was younger, for instance, in reading and especially writing. I now am recognized as the brainy individual. Hopefully Claudia, if more books are written, will find herself clearly.

this book is sort of amazing and interesting. sometimes claudia wears green clothes and i don't think that color looks good on her because it makes her look really tall but she really isn't. sometimes if like there is some basketball game at claudia's school some people go to watch it but like they don't really score a lot of shots. which is very ironic since her name is claudia which sort of sounds like Kobe Bryant and since kObe is a great nba basketball player i'm wondering why can't claudia play basketball good? but stacey knows how to play basketball, baseball even soccer which is surprising since stacey looks like she's into her make up and her perfume etc. also i would recommend such books of the baby sitter club. the baby sitters club rocks!! it is awesomeee!
