Overview

A lot can happen between the first sip of coffee and the last taste of whiskey.

Coffee Days, Whiskey Nights is a collection of poetry, prose, and aphorisms that juxtaposes the hopefulness a brand new day can bring with the lingering thoughts that keep us up into the late-night hours. This book takes a look at the way a single day can change our outlook on everything from relationships with others, to our relationships with ourselves, and everything in between.

"With this beautifully vulnerable collection, Cyrus reminds us that no matter what we are feeling, we are never alone. I found truth and comfort in these words and will be reading them again."—Makenzie Campbell, Author of 2am Thoughts

“An honest, tender, and inspiring collection. It's a reminder to forge ahead and never give up on yourself.” —K. Y. Robinson, Author of The Chaos of Longing

Ultimately, this book illustrates that no matter how hopeless we may feel at the end of a day, a new one is only a few hours away.

About the Author

Cyrus Parker is a non-binary poet and storyteller, as well as the author of multiple collections of poetry, including DROPKICKromance, shot glass confessional, masquerade and [Dis]Connected.

Hailing from a small coastal town in New Jersey alongside wife and poetess, Amanda Lovelace ([Dis]Connected, break your glass slippers, the princess saves herself in this one, shine your icy crown), and their ragdoll cats, Cyrus can usually be found at local coffee shops not writing when they should be, or at home sipping the occasional glass of whiskey while mourning the cancellation of Marvel’s Jessica Jones.

Fans call Cyrus' writing "incredible", "absolutely beautiful", and "perfectly written".
