Crash: An Evil Dead MC Story by Nicole James

When outlaw biker Tyler "Crash" Shaw volunteers his services to his club brother, Cole Austin, VP of the Evil Dead MC, he suddenly finds himself a rich girl's bodyguard and babysitter. Well, it's a bitch of a job, but maybe he can have a little fun with it. He thinks he'll get a kick out of teaching the pampered stuck-up girl a lesson or two on how the other half lives. She can cook and clean for him in exchange for his help. No free ride for her. He intends to teach her that money can't buy her way through life.

The world saw a classy pulled-together wealthy lady. All he saw was a spoiled little rich girl. A troublemaker, that's all she was to him. Until she revealed the shattered girl inside that tried so hard to hide her weaknesses and fears with a façade of arrogance, attitude, and sass.

He'd tear down those walls she tried so hard to build, if only she'd let him.

Could the love of a man so wrong for her be the only one to save her?

And in his darkest hour, would her love be enough to save him?

This is part of The Evil Dead MC Series, but each book in the series can be read as a standalone.

Shannon and Crash definitely come from two different worlds. Crash is hardcore biker and Shannon is hardcore spoiled, rich girl. When Shannon has to depend on Crash for her safety, things get messy. Crash thinks he will knock Shannon down a peg or two and Shannon has to grit her teeth at some of the things Crash says to her. It was hard to believe she didn't know how to make coffee or how to wash clothes, but I rolled with it. Crash and Shannon form an unlikely partnership and things grow from there. Crash gets Shannon to open up about her PTSD and she finds herself letting go of the prescription pills she has been taking for anxiety. When their world implodes with several life changing events, both of them have to find a way to put the other first. Crash did try with Shannon but she was just too stubborn to see that her father was a manipulative man to the very end. Crash gets world shattering news of his own and is a shell of a man after. Shannon decides to fight for their relationship and get Crash to let her back in. It was well done and the ending was good.

Overall Rating: 4.5 Rockin’ ★★★★☆ When a Bad Boy Biker meets a High Maintenance Princess, sparks fly alone with anything else within reach! Emotional ups and downs, threaded with laugh-your-head-off taming of the shrew situations will keep you turning the pages of this incredible book by Nicole James. In her second offering in the Outlaw series Crash, this author surpasses my expectations as a reader and lover of great stories of romance! Everything you could possibly want in an MC Romance is inside the cover of this book. Passion, steamy sex, tongue in cheek humor with suspense filled anticipation of what will happen next makes this a must read! As a member of the Evil Dead MC, Crash loves life to the fullest. He is more than he appears and has a deeper side that few know about. Six years ago his club helped rescue a group of young women that had been kidnapped to be sold as sex slaves. One of those women has approached his club for help with a stalker boyfriend. Crash agrees to hide and protect the perfectly pampered princess with several conditions attached to the agreement. He may have bitten off more than he can chew, literally! Not only is she drop dead gorgeous, but underneath that polished perfection there may be a real woman that is more than he can handle! The face that Shannon shows the world does not reveal the broken woman she is inside. She hides that from everyone, but an aggravating biker refuses to let her stay hidden. Shannon is being stalked and the only thing that stands between her and her stalker is Crash. He is her opposite in so many ways, yet the more she uncovers of the real Tyler ‘Crash’ Shaw, the more they have in common. Her life has been one of money and privilege, but there is something about the world Crash lives in, that makes her want to be part of it. Each character exhibits traits that make them unforgettable. The storyline moves fluidly with situations that keep the reader on the edge of their seat. Ms. James has created a beautiful love story set in an unlikely setting with situations that will keep you turning the pages. If you are looking for a great MC Romance series, look no more this is the one for you! Great addition to any reader's library.

Crash is the man everyone loves to hate. He is the quintessential smart a** who everyone wants to hang with. He did not see it coming when he met Shannon. Again, their love story isn't typical. Ms. James allows each character to come to life and jump off the pages. While she develops this story, she also gives us a peek at other members in the club who I hope one day get their own book. The sarcastic comments and witty banter between members will literally make you laugh out loud. One of my favorite parts is this one: "Look, Natalie-you made a brand new vein stand out on Mack's head," Cole kidded. She gave Cole a look that could kill and turned back to Mack. "Let's sit and talk." "She's offering you candy, brother. Don't get in the car." This from Red Dog. Don't miss out on this series! -Shauna-

Plot pretty typical for the genre and nice steamy scenes. Longer novel for your money. Has some pretty glaring grammar problems. Not sure if I would read others in the series.

Outlaw was good but this one was better. I laughed and cried and smiled.... the bad guy was bad but there was a surprising shortage of time spent with him.... which I appreciated as this gave me more time eith Crash and Shannon....

OMG! When I first started this series (Outlaw), I did not think I would like it, but boy, am I am glad that I stayed with it. This book, the 2nd in the series, is just phenomenal. I was blown away by the story and wish it did not have to end. There were no slow parts, just a really good story that I loved. If you love MC stories, give these a try - you will NOT be disappointed!!
