Overview

Crazy Little Thing by Tracy Brogan

Bell Harbor is a one-million copy bestselling series.

If Sadie Turner is good at anything, it’s putting stuff in order. So when she finds her “perfect” life in disarray, she hopes a summer vacation at her aunt’s lake house will help her piece it back together. She wants to relax, reboot, and heal the wounds left by her cheating ex-husband. And that requires time away from men. All men.

Or so she thinks.

With two slobbering dogs and two cousins living there—one a flamboyant decorator intent on making over Sadie—it’s hard to get a moment’s peace at eccentric Aunt Dody’s house, especially with everyone so determined to set her up with Desmond, the sexy new neighbor.

Desmond is Sadie’s worst nightmare. Tall, tanned, muscular…and to top it off, he’s great with her kids. But he must have a flaw—he’s a man—so Sadie vows to keep her distance.

As summer blazes on, the life Sadie is trying so hard to simplify only becomes more complicated—a new career presents itself, her evil ex haunts her, and Aunt Dody reveals a tragic secret—but maybe a little chaos is just what Sadie needs to get her life back in order.

Crazy Little Thing is debut author Tracy Brogan's first book - but you would never know it. A sharp, witty, funny read, the antics of the book's main character, Sadie, will have you laughing out loud. Her eccentric family keeps the dialogue sharp and the unexpected witticisms (is that a word?) flying. I read this book in a rabid gulp, mostly on a transcontinental flight, and I am quite sure my fellow passengers must have thought I was insane. I literally couldn't keep from laughing out loud (and I didn't even have any of the little liquors, although there is no doubt the book's protagonist, Sadie, would have been snockered by the end of that flight). Cannot wait to see what Brogan writes next!

This is a laugh out loud book that has the ability to pull at your heart strings at the same time. It's not your typical romance, it's better. You get to meet some great characters and get pulled into a unique story that will have you flipping pages all night. Looking forward to the next one.

Freshly divorced from her cheating husband, Sadie decides that a much needed summer vacation may be just what the doctor ordered.  So when she takes her children and heads to her aunt’s lake house, her only real plans are to relax and keep away from men for the duration of her stay.  But, as we all know, even the best laid out plans don’t always turn out how we want them to.  Not only were her two male cousins staying there during that time, a very male (and sexy!) man living a few houses down has caught her eye.  However, she refuses to admit that she’s attracted to him … even to herself!  She tries to convince everybody that she’s not ready to date.  But as Des, the hot neighbor, and her paths keep crossing, it’s hard to deny the chemistry between the two.  Will Sadie be able to let down her guard and allow herself to be vulnerable around Des?  Or has her ex-husband’s adulterous ways soured her towards men and relationships for good? I’ve read a lot of books!  But there’s nothing like finding a new author and just falling in love with her writing from the very first line.  That’s exactly what happened to me while reading Crazy Little Thing by Tracy Brogan.  The very first line had me laughing out loud!  Right then and there I knew that this was going to be my type of book!  The humor was spot on, the story kept my attention from the first page to the last and the characters were all zany and fun!  It’s safe to say that Tracy Brogan has a fan in me!  I’m excited to say that her next book, The Best Medicine, which is a sequel to this book, is due out on May 13.  I will not only be posting my review for The Best Medicine on the publish date, I will also have another giveaway of a tote bag full of Tracy Brogan swag!  If you haven’t read Crazy Little Thing yet, you must get it!  I promise you that you will love it as much as I did!

I was so disappointed in this book. I disliked everything about it. The characters were horrible. Next time I will read the reviews before I purchase one of this author's book.

Crazy Little Thing by Tracy Brogan is a book that I have, regretfully, had sitting on my To Be Read Stack for some time. I wanted the perfect day to spend with this return to Bell Harbor novel. I spent the day reading this at Falls Park on the Ready in Greenville, SC. This book was everything I'd hoped it would be. A perfect summer read. Though I was sitting alongside a river, I could picture myself sitting on the shores of Lake Michigan with the characters just spending some time rejuvenating. In this story we follow recently divorced, mother of two, Sadie Turner and the wandering Scottish Dr Desmond. There are many laugh out loud moments as well as some sweet and tender ones. Whether you are looking for that perfect summer in the sun book, or something to remind you of the warm days of summer as you sit fire side. I believe you should give this sweet romance a try.
