I received this book for review and was a little nervous about how the food would taste. I "went" vegan for 30 days over a year ago and it didn't go well at all--get away spirulina! I feel better, my skin is clearing up, my mind is clearer, and slowly I'm getting my energy back--all from a week of eating only crazy sexy foods! Even my pickiest eaters (7, 5, and 2) fell in love with the sweet goodness of bright green juices and Cornmeal Banana Pancakes! Crazy Sexy Kitchen is funny, enlightening, moving and remarkable. Learn how to grow sprouts, make nut milk, and get really intimate with the big K - Kale! Kris Carr and Chef Chad don't take an eat like us or we'll send the vegan mafia - kind of approach (you know the ones:) You'll actually want to make the Black Bean and Roasted Sweet Potato Burger because it looks delicious - AND IT IS! Once you taste the goodness and freshness of each meal you'll be inspired to make more--you Wellness Warrior You!

This is the Julia Child cookbook for Vegans! I've had this book since it first came out and wanted to make quite a few recipes before I wrote a review on it. The beginning of the book is informative and very funny as all of Kris' books are. Never thought I'd say a cookbook could be funny but it really is. The ingredients you need are not weird or hard to find and the instructions are so easy to follow. Because I am the only one in my family who eats mostly Vegan I cook 3-5 recipes per week (including dressings and smoothies) so I cannot wait to continue cooking out of this book. Every recipe is an adventure and they are all so incredibly good. Even my meat eating family likes the finished product! Good job Kris and Chad! And thank you so much for this wonderful work of food art!

I already requested a juicer for Christmas! I have tried several recipes and the were very good. I love her attitude, she is uplifting and positve. I also bought her Crazy Sexy Diet book and loved that as well. I was already a vegitarian, so this wasnt a huge leap. Cant wait to start jucing- I think I will also get her Crazy Sexy Juices & Succulent Smoothies!!!

Kris Carr does a great job of keeping things fun while being straight forward and informative. The information is trust worthy due to the amount of research that is clearly put in to the book. Although I have not tried all of the recipes what I have I do enjoy and the tips are applicable to anyone at any culinary level.
