About the Author

Tiana Laveen was born in Cincinnati, Ohio and now resides in Kentucky with her husband, infant son, and feline companion. She enjoys a fulfilling and enriching life that includes writing books, drawing, painting, listening to music, cooking, and spending time with friends.

Tiana Laveen is a uniquely creative and innovative author whose romance fiction is geared towards those who not only want to temporarily escape from the daily routines of life, but also delve into social taboo as it pertains to interracial relationships. Tiana creates a painting with words as she guides her reader into the lives of each and every main character. Her first book series entitled "Cross Climax" tackles interracial dating, marriage, and sexual relationships head on without any false bravado. "Cross Climax I" and "Cross Climax II" allow the reader to dive headfirst into short stories that are packed with seduction, romance, and heart-pounding punch. The two novels in conjunction lead to a surprising, but fulfilling conclusion.

This book has a wide variety of interracial love stories. I liked how the male leads were of different races. That helped spice it up.

I absolutely loved this book. I read this author's most recent release, The Slave Master's Son, after it was recommended to me by a colleague and enjoyed it so much that I thought I'd go back and read her first two books. I'm glad I did. Cross Climax I and II are hot, hot , hot, and the eight different stories are so diverse, I'm sure anyone could find a lot to like. I couldn't recommend this author more highly!

Great plots, great characters, great sex. What more could anyone want in a romance novel? I first heard about this author through Facebook. I have a friend of a friend of hers who told me she was really talented. She was right. I can't wait for the third book.

I have read many romance novels, and they usually follow the same predictable path. Not this one. The characters seem real. The sex scenes are hot too. I haven't purchased the second book, but am going to this evening. I'll let you know what I think of it later.

I really enjoyed Cross Climax I by this new writer, Tiana Laveen. It was not what I expected. Since the stories were like mini-stories (there are 4 in one novel) I thought it would just be a quick read. It was a quick read but I did not expect the writer to be able to get in so many details, twists and turns that were actually fun and exciting. I really liked this book and my favorite stories were Jock of All Trades and Spanish Lustabies. I also read Cross Climax II and to me it was even better. I read a lot and that is probably an understatement. I usually read African American romance novels and erotica so this was a step out of the norm for me and I am glad that I did it. I want to see what else this writer can do and I am glad she is not afraid to try something we as readers are not really used to seeing and that is mini-stories. She writes well, the sex scenes are explicit without being just raunchy with no purpose. I like this writer's style of writing and really have no major complaints. I do want to ask that if the writer sees this review that she give more follow ups for these characters because I still do have some unanswered questions. Good book, good read, great start for this writer.

I downloaded this book yesterday, thinking I'd read it while on vacation next week. After I read the first two pages, I couldn't put it down. I stayed up until 1:00 a.m. to finish reading it. Where should I begin? All the stories are about Black women and their interracial love interests. While the cover is very sensual, let me tell you, this book is not one big sex scene. There is plenty of hot sex, don't be worried, but the characters are real. The individual stories are almost biographical even though this is fiction. One story takes place in the 80's, another in the 50's, another two today. I love how the author intertwines Spanish (with English translations) in "Spanish 'Lust'abies" to make the story more authentic. Overall, one of the very best romance books I have read :)

I just completed reading "The Slave Master's Son" and enjoyed it so much that I went back and read the author's first two releases. I have to say that this author has a very diverse writing style. This book and "Cross Climax II" each contain four stories. The individual stories always focus on a Black female and a man of a different race. I found all of the stories engrossing and didn't want to put the book down. My personal favorite, however, is "Spanish 'Lust'abies." This one is a little kinkier than the others, but also has some playful comedy between the male lead and his friend. This book is worth every cent. I can't wait for the author's next release!

Have you ever read a book and were sad when it was over? This is one of those books. I read Cross Climax II and ended up staying up all night because I could not put this book series down. This is an anthology. There are four stories that have believable characters, developed plots and lots of detail. This writer is very good with her use of description. She does not tell you, she shows you. It is a quick read, but you get a lot of bang for your money. The book is I believe 295 pages, with four stories that are quality. That makes the price justified. You can tell that this was not just thrown together, this took time and I loved every minute of it. I am recommending this book to my book club. I read it for my own pleasure but it needs to be seen by other. This writer is a natural. She does not write romance novels in the usual format so if you want that same old thing we've been seeing over and over, then this is probably not for you. Some people do not like to try new things but this writer managed to keep the aspects of romance novels that we love, and add something different to it. The sneak peek of Cross Climax II at the end is irresistible. I do not know where this writer has been hiding, but I am glad she is here and creating new ideas in the romance novel genre.

I read Swirled Satin Sheets I and loved it so i decided to give this one a try. I loved this book as well and will be reading part II. I must warn you though. The only reason this book got a 4 was b/c of the second story, I do not like romantic stories with an unhappy ending so if you don't want to have your heart ripped out of your chest read book 2 with caution. So disappointing!

I just found out about this writer not too long ago and I read The Naughty SIns of Saint first then Cross Climax I and then Cross Climax II. I really like how she tells a story. This writer is G.O.O.D Each of these stories will keep you interested. Anything she puts out like this or Sins of Saint I will buy in a heartbeat.

My book club always has a hard time finding a book everyone can agree on. This one makes it easy since there are four stories in one. Also, the book club discussion guide at the back of the book makes it a breeze to spark discussion.

Occasionally slow here and there, but overall, much better than most I read. Tthe author goes for more character development. Sex scenes are definitely spicy :)
