This books is so very, very, very good I finshed in one day. I can not wait to read the next one. Good vampires, bad vampires, wolves and love make for great read. So if you love to read about all.of this things you will love this book.

Same old story, no new twists.  The book is all right but there is nothing original about it, just a cookie cutter YA book.  There are a lot of grammatical errors and typos which are disappointing but something I am learning to expect from Smashword writers.  Even the supposedly climatic ending is a let down.  The heroine confronts Jesse by telling him to come into her house.  She knows he can't because she has discovered what he is.  This isn't even remotely convincing since Jesse has already been in her house twice prior to the confrontation, and I might add WITHOUT an invitation.   By the middle of the book I was tired of hearing about how "hot" Jesse was.  We got it the first few times! The book is okay.  Would I recommend it?   Probably not.

There needs to be a bundle of books. I hate buying them 1 by 1. Group them into 3 or 4. Too good to have to shop after each 185 pages!

This book is for teens/young adults. It was a little slow in places. Taylor meets Jesse, sparks fly and then she finds out he's a vampire. ****spoiler there were a few things that didn't make sense. Her mom invites Fred to the beach, he doesn't say yes or no, and he isn't at the beach. Taylor says she's homeschooled but wasn't in NY, why the change. The wolves were normal ? or werewolves ? Jesse didn't explain why they protected Taylor. Taylor is the "chosen" one, the vampires know what this is but Jesse doesn't talk to Taylor about it ? Why does Jesse have to keep ordering Max not to bark, isn't once enough? If Max barks at him all the time why doesn't he have more problems at the zoo with the animals? Might have missed it but there is no description of Taylor or Julie? Jonathon shot Jesse? Why would he have a gun, and if Jonathan knows Jesse is a vampire why shoot him ? At the cabin, thought the "owner" of the house had to do the invites? Wish Ms Peebles the best!

I would like to thank Story Cartel for letting me read and review this book. When Taylor moves across the country, all she wants to do is try to finally get over her ex and maybe find someone else. What she does not see coming is meeting Jesse. He seems to be the perfect guy- hot, nice, funny... But he has a secret that he isn't telling her. Will they make it through it... and more importantly will she survive either way? I'll admit it- I'm a sucker for any paranormal book. I see it and I just have to have it, even though I know it is bound to be corny and unrealistic. So when I saw this on Story Cartel I needed it right away... If you need a less cheesy version of Twilight, read this. It actually sort of makes fun of Twilight (bonus) and I also liked how when Taylor finds out that Jesse is a vampire, she doesn't immediately accept it and just trust that he won't kill her. She actually stays away from him for a while and asks questions, making sure he won't hurt/kill her. The characterization isn't great, but its acceptable. The writing is pretty good, but the plotting isn't the best. It just seemed like everything was happening too fast. I HATED the insti-love, but I have really gave up on finding a YA book that doesn't have it.
