5 Star review of Curtis (Coyote Ridge #1) by Nicole Edwards This is book 1 in Nicole Edward’s exciting new Coyote Ridge series and what a way to start. If I could rate this a 10 star read I would. Curtis and Lorrie Walker are the parents of the Walker Brothers from the Alluring Indulgence series. I waited impatiently for the book about the love between Curtis and Lorrie that formed the basis and created the wonderful Walker Brothers. From the very first book in the Alluring Indulgence series, I fell for the backbone of the family; Curtis and Lorrie. Nicole Edwards in no way disappointed. This story which spanned over 50 years had it all from the beginning which terrified me to the very end. She took us on an emotional roller-coaster, never certain whether we were going to twist, turn or even do a 360 degree turn. The love, courage and determination to make it through life’s ups and downs brought me to tears at times; not only because of heartbreak, but out of fear and sheer happiness. The sexiness was there as well, but ultimately although that was extremely hot, it was the genuine love, respect and affection that Curtis and Lorrie have for each other which got me to my very soul. I always knew I was going to love this book, but I was blown away by how much it affected me. This is one of my most favourite books of Nicole Edwards of all time. The love between Curtis and Lorrie and the sheer solidarity offered by their children is simply beautiful. The prologue hit me in the stomach straight away and from there I knew I was in for one heck of a book. When the going gets tough, the Walkers and their significant others and extended family are all there for each other. Standing shoulder to shoulder to fight this new challenge that could destroy them all, and at times I was worried it would. The love letters and diary entries were beautiful to read and reading about their life over the 50 years in retrospect was breathtaking. This book is an excellent example of Nicole Edwards writing. In fact I think this is the best book she has written in the last 12 months. I really loved it and cannot wait to read more from this author. Well done, you have another winning series on your hands. I cannot recommend this book more highly. Reviewed on behalf of MI Bookshelf

Love this book. It is about the parents, Curtis and Lorrie, of all the amazing Walker boys. It shows them from when they first met to how they ended up together and all the issues inbetween. It was not flashbacks. It was the long journey of an amazing tale of love!!!! It is a must read especially if you loved the Alluring Indulgence/Walker books!

5 star I was pulled right into this story. The story flowed well and I could not put the book down. The story has everything you need in a book. You get laughs, suspense, grief, naughty fun, pain, sorrow, and heartbreak. If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first Kaleb (Alluring Indulgence, #1) Zane (Alluring Indulgence, #2) Travis (Alluring Indulgence, #3) Holidays with the Walker Brothers (Alluring Indulgence, #4) Ethan (Alluring Indulgence, #5) Braydon (Alluring Indulgence, #6) Sawyer (Alluring Indulgence, #7) Brendon (Alluring Indulgence, #8) This is Lorrie and Curtis’s story. Lorrie and Curtis have been together through thick and thin. This story takes you through that journey from when they first met to today. You get there love story over the years, that includes the ups and downs they experienced that they still look back on today. You get every birth of their children and how Lorrie thought they would grow up. You will feel the emotion coming off these two throughout the entire book. What starts off with a request to talk to a boy turns into love that spans a lifetime. With the emotion also comes the passion that these two have for each other. These two are so perfect together. No matter what happens they are there to support each other. I didn’t know what to expect with this story but Curtis and Lorrie were more than I thought they would be. Curtis was protective from the first and made sure he staked his claim from the beginning. Lorrie was strong when she had to be but also soft when she needed to be. With these two different people in their background to blend together so greatly it was truly a gift to see unfold. I loved these characters and also the side characters. There are some tear filled moments and some anger filled moments in this story. But all in all I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read. I highly recommend this book and this author. Can’t wait for the next book in this series.

I really enjoyed the love story between Curtis and Lorrie; going back 50+ years to see how they began. It was a wonderful journey for the two of them with both ups & downs. Definitely 5 stars and a must read!

Nicole Edwards has written one of the most memorable romances I have ever read. When you fall in love with characters from a series you tend to fall in love with the whole family, as I have with the Walker Family. Curtis and Lorrie's story is packed full of everything from love to deception to pain and right back to love again....... and the sex, Lord, the sex!! You will never find a more complete love story.

Wow just wow!!! Nicole Edwards just continues to amaze me and this is her best book ever!!! Fasten your seatbelt for this story. I laughed, I cried, then I laughed again and in between this is a hot and sexy story. I will NEVER get tired of reading about the Walker family. Cutis and Lorrie's love story is 50 years in the making and is one of the most beautiful stories ever. I want to say so much more but at the same time don't want to give anything away. So in a nutshell.......YOU MUST READ CURTIS!!!!

Compared to Travis, this book is rated PG. I didn't enjoy the "diary" aspect and found that it took away from the flow of the story. 230 pages and was just so-so at best.
