Maggie Campbell left the family farm as soon as she could after her mother's drowning death...determined not to return. But seven years later, her sister Jilly has convinced her to 'come home' to celebrate their grandmother's ninetieth birthday.
Maggie finds everything has changed on the farm including their annoying new neighbor, Desmond Kinsley, who is far too involved in all their lives for Maggie's liking.
When tragedy once again strikes the ones she loves, Desmond is the only one who can help. Maggie may have to put up with him for now, but at what cost? With her heart now in jeopardy, will she stay or once again flee... leaving behind the ones she loves.
About the Author
I come from a very large extended family. It is usually a good thing, although sometimes can be a little overwhelming especially if you want to keep a secret!
But It's the closeness I have with my family that has helped me write stories with characters full of life like the grandmother who always knows exactly what to say to make everything better. The older brother or sister who, while picking on us when we're younger, turns out to be our most trusted confidant.
My hope is that as you read my novels, you find yourself connected to the characters as you would your own family. Hoping for their happiness and rooting for them when they stumble and their dreams fall short.
