## WOW. Loved this book. This was such a good read. I couldn't put it down. This hero was HOT; perfection personified. The chemistry between these two was sizzling. I loved that the author didn't feel compelled to write Holt as a manwhore. Yay. That's always such a huge turn off for me. Also, no ex trying to tear them apart. How refreshing. That sh*t gets so old. And kudos to Rebecca for such a complete & satisfying ending. What a nice reward for us readers. Highly recommended...apprx. 210 pages.

Always love a new adult / boss relationship, but the twist with the past made this story that much stronger. So much heartache, but loved the story!

**4.5 Stars** Oh man, Rebecca NAILED it with this book. From page 1 I was sucked in and I couldn’t put it down, I was sad when I had to sleep. Saige and Holt completely captured me, heart and soul. I didn’t want their story to end. I loved their story and their love story. It was unique to them, sad at times, but perfectly perfect for them and the world Rebecca created for them. It was just awesome. Saige Phillips is a fresh college grad from North Dakota who has landed a job in the city that has been calling her since she had to leave as child. She loves the city of Chicago, but it also comes with memories of her childhood and triggers to her nightmares related to the reason why her world was flip upside down when she was 13. After landing an amazing sell at her job, she goes to dinner with her coworkers where life will never be the same. It all started with a dare, a dare that will change her life and the creation of the best hashtag ever. Holt Hamilton has it all- money, power, free disposable of women and a loving family. He hires Saige for undisclosed reason but when he meets her he wasn’t prepared for the instant attraction/chemistry. He finally gets his chance with her after a dare, but will it all last? Does Holt have a secret that could destroy everything they have together? I loved their story, I seriously couldn’t get enough of it. I wanted to smack Holt halfway through for things he was keeping things to himself, but when he finally owns up to the situation what he does to woo Saige is perfect.

This book turned out to be quite a surprise for me as it was a lot more touching and emotional than what I was expecting from the blurb. In addition to this, it was also a really sexy read and our MC's, Holt and Saige had fantastic chemistry. This was an engrossing stand alone read, that delivered a well rounded plot with nicely developed characters. I read it in one sitting as it held me captivated from start to finish - a great read that I really enjoyed. I was provided with a copy of this book from the Publisher; there was no inducement or obligation.

You know when you finish a book and you want to immediately buy every single book that author has published with fingers crossed they will all be like this one? Yeah, that's how I feel. So what's so special about this book? My #1 favorite thing in a book is when the guy chases the girl. Call me old fashioned but I want my Hero's so enamored with the heroine that the pursue them relentlessly. Nothing makes me happier! I loved the mystery as the story unfolded. Holt knew more about Saige than what he was letting on and I wanted to know the secret he was keeping. The only thing that kept this book from being perfect for me was Saige's constant pushing Holt away, but then it also showed how much Holt was willing to do to make her his. Loved it! Dare me was for me a mediocre book. It had not so unique interesting plot for me. The characters were developed but average. I didn’t like Saige so much, the way she treated Holt with some reserve her being scare to love and be loved I didn’t like that at all. Holt was ok guy who fell instantly for Saige very fast. And I liked his determination and not giving up on Saige. A predictable love story without much of twist or surprises. I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for Netgelly

Dare Me by Rebecca Shea A Dare Me Novel #1 This well written, movie worthy novel had me smiling in spite of the sad beginning to the book. The dare in the bar – how it happened and what happened afterward were perfect in oh so many ways. Saige and Holt were so good together, brought out the best in one another and were compatible in and out of the bedroom. Saige’s friendships at work are so close and the interactions so spot-on that I almost felt part of the group. I can’t wait to find out what will happen when Zay, Rowan, Emery, Kinsley, Evelyn and perhaps Holt’s friend Jack are dared and meet their matches, too. Holt keeps a secret too long and it nearly does the two of them and their relationship in once it is exposed. Thankfully both Saige an Holt are able to deal with the issues the secret brings up and eventually move on and back together again. Thank you to the author who bequeathed me a copy of her work through NetGalley. This is my honest review. 4.5 Stars

Dare Me,  Rebecca Shea Review from Jeannie Zelos book reviews Genre:   Romance, Well, *sigh* I really wanted to like this, it sounded a fun read but...it wasn’t a bad book, there were a few irritations, but it was mostly a non event for me. Very predictable with the big twist being something I’d guessed from very early on. There were a couple of potential major events that were brought up – the invitation to a gala from a customer for example – but they fizzled out into nothing. Storm in a teacup stuff. Other than that it was just Saige asks him out on a dare from colleagues, he says yes and they’re headlong into an intense relationship. The continuing “dares” irritated me, they sounded so childish. What adult does that? The first one yes, friends out drinking do play silly games like that when they’ve had a few but sober? Nope. I didn’t really feel the intimacy of their relationship, that must touch, must have, must be with that comes with new ones, it just felt forced with them and too rushed. There were some probably erotic sex scenes but I skipped them as the story just felt too weak and I was bored. Its one of those “it's me not the book” reads, as I can see others loved it, but for me a story needs more depth. The characters need to feel real, and these didn’t, they felt like stereotypes, clichés, the plots need to have drama, to move forward, not be just work, home, sex, work, home, sex, with a little moaning and nightmares about Saige’s past thrown in. Then all those accusations that she throws around at the end, she felt like a petulant child, and Holt was too ready to take the blame for something that wasn’t his fault. Grow up girl, you don’t have a monopoly on bad things in life. Well, that’s how they feel to me, but of course for others they are perfect, and its a five star read. Horses for courses. Stars: Two, just not my type of read sadly. ARC supplied for review purposes by Netgalley and Publishers

"I want her to need me as much as I need her. I need her to want me as much as I want her. I want her to love me as much as I love her." You know, I'm gonna be honest with you, when I picked up this book, I really wasn't sure what to expect. But, I couldn't help but be intrigued by the synopsis of this story. So, I decided to pick it up and give it a chance. And I have to tell you, I am so glad that I did. This book was absolutely nothing like I thought it was going to be. This story was sexy and intriguing. It had an air of mystery to it that had me wanting to know more. I will warn you, this story does deal with some intense subject matter. But, I will say, the author did a really good job with it. Dare Me pulled me in from the very first page and captivated me the entire time. Dare Me is heartbreaking, but at the same time is an unforgettable love story. I fell in love with the characters instantly and could not read the pages fast enough. This book had it all for me. There was angst. There was drama. There was intensity. There were delicious sexy good times. There was humor and entertaining moments. Overall, this was a really enjoyable read for me and I'm super glad that I decided to check it out.

Dare Me is the first book in the Dare Me Series, and the first book I've read by the author as well which did not disappoint. At the beginning of the book we get to meet Saige Phillips who happens to work at an aviation company in Chicago. After losing her dad at such a young age, she has worked hard to be able to do something for herself and show her family that she can get out of the farm and be successful. So when she got the job to work at one of the most prominent aviation companies in the country, she immediately accepted the offer not knowing that her life was about to change forever. As soon as she started working for Holt Hamilton, Saige started to develop a crush on him, and that soon plays a role on the next thing that happens to her. When her coworkers take her out for drinks, they see Holt at the bar and dare Saige to ask him to go out with her for drinks. Being Saige, she wasn't about to run away from a dare, and that is when she asked Holt out right on the spot and soon their relationship starts to grow. As the two start to spend more time together, they begin to trust in each other more. Secrets starts to reveal themselves and their relationship is put in jeopardy. Holt has found success and wealth, but not even money could ever begin to change his past. After the events that he saw as a child, he always wanted to be better and make a new for himself. Now that he has exactly what he wanted, his life suddenly changes when Saige gets into his life. Now he has to convince her that they are good together before everything falls apart. I loved the characters in the book, the two want to better themselves and move on from their pasts, but it is because of their pasts that they are not fully there yet. The synopsis didn't reveal what the whole book was going to be about, and that made it that much more intriguing to read. With all the twists and turns in the story, I found myself unable to stop reading the book. I enjoyed reading the ending, and I can't wait to read more form the author. Overall, if you're looking for a romantic read that will has twists and tuns throughout the story then I would highly recommend reading this book, it will not disappoint. :) ***ARC provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.***

I freaking love Holt—he’s handsome, compassionate, sexy and just delicious! Saige is fierce, intelligent, and determined. Together they’re perfection! Their story is filled with twists that’ll make you want to shake Rebecca (I so wanted to shake her repeatedly!!) and sexy moments that’ll make you fan yourself! I swear I had a tear in my eye from pride at how her sexy-time writing has grown over the years! I’ve devoured each and every Rebecca Shea book since the beginning of her writing career, and she’s never disappointed me. Her writing grows with every book and I cannot wait to see what else she has up her sleeve!

Dare Me by Rebecca Shea is the first novel in her new Dare Me series. This is my first read of anything from this author although she has been one I have been meaning to read for a while. I'm glad I finally did and i'm glad it was this book. Saige and Holt's story was wonderful. It built slowly to this wonderful crescendo of the big secret reveal and the happily ever after. Told in dual POV we slowly learn more about each character in a very fluid telling of both sides of their stories. Saige is strong and Holt is determined but they both have their own demons to battle and when the truth finally reveals itself it's a heartbreaking moment for all involved (including the reader). Definitely want more from this author.

3.75 stars---DARE ME is a stand alone, erotic romance story line written by Rebecca Shea that focuses on a forbidden romance between Holt Hamilton, the co-owner of Jackson-Hamilton Aviation, and interior designer at JHA Saige Phillips. Holt’s attraction to Saige begins following a night on the town but his connections to his fellow employee are wound tighter than anyone could have imagined. Told from dual first person perspectives (Holt and Saige) DARE ME follows the building relationship between Holt and Saige-a relationship built upon betrayal and lies. Following a successful week at work five coworkers meet for drinks at one of Chicago’s newest night spots where Saige Phillips will find herself face to face with the man who stops her heart-Holt Hamilton-the owner of the company for which she works. On a dare, Saige will ask Holt out for drinks and when ensues is the growing love between two people whose secrets and back stories will affect one another’s lives, and their future together. Holt is the well respected CEO of his own aviation company. His is ‘sex on a stick’, and a man who guards his personal backstory from the woman he loves. Saige is a young woman whose earlier years are shrouded in loss, grief and heartbreak. Returning to Chicago, finds our heroine working in the corporate world surrounded by rich billionaires and CEOs, and the possibility of a future with the man whose secrets are about to unfold. The amazing chemistry between our leading couple is palpable; the $ex scenes are intimate and hot. DARE ME has a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including Saige’s roommate, and her four fellow co-workers whose personal lives are the topic of morning texts and social media updates. We are also introduced to Holt’s BFF Jack, Holt’s mother, and the man who is now the center of her life. Saige’s Uncle Brent, and Saige’s mother are the supporting factors in Saige’s life, and a welcome respite when her life begins to spiral out of control. The world building focuses on relationship between Holt and Saige, as well as the secrets and lies Holt keeps hidden from the woman that he loves. The proverbial ‘elephant in the room’ is easily deduced early on, but the reveal finds Saige pushing away the man that she loves. DARE ME is a provocative but familiar story line-one I have read many times in the past. The premise is dramatic and emotional; the characters are heartbreaking and beautiful; the romance is passionate and fated. Rebecca Shea writes a riveting and consuming story with a breathtaking happily ever after.
