OMG, what is not to live about this book, now first off I'm a dog lover and so of course Tiger is going to be my fave character, and then Eric and Tess, this is an exciting and thrilling story with plenty of action to keep you entertained, looks like I will be ch3cking out the other books in the series. I received a copy from Netgalley and I am voluntarily leaving my own honest opinion second

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley and I also purchased a copy. I just LOVE this series. The alpha K-9 men along with their dogs are federal agents. The series follows the group as they meet their significant others. The stories are just filled with suspense and intrigue while we watch the characters also fall in love. The plot of this story just grabbed me right from the beginning. Eric Miller is a special agent with the ATF. He stops a young man driving a truck on the road. In the back of the truck, are several drums. During the arrest, Tiger, Eric's K-9, alerts Eric to presence of a chemical. Tiger has been trained to alert to chemical agents used to build bombs. Jesse's, sister comes to bail him out. Eric comes face-to-face with Tess McTavish again. They had previously met (in the prior story). Eric knew that Tess was a special woman then and he was committed to never marry as he is so determined to track down a heinous man so he left. Eric is seeking revenge against the murder of three of his best friends who he went to law enforcement school with. Eric has a feeling as to who is behind the transporting of the fertilizer, Harley Gant. The same man who is behind his best friends murder. When he questions Tess and Jesse if they know Gant, both deny any knowledge of the man. Unbeknownst to Eric, Gant is their step-father. What follows is a fast paced intrigue. In the various events throughout the book, Eric and Tess stop denying their feelings for each other. Tess is just so afraid that Eric will turn away from her once the truth of her past is revealed. I adored reading this book. It is written in my favorite dual POV format. Seeing into the characters' thoughts really humanized them and drew me closer to them. The plot was very well written. I could picture the scenes as if I was watching a movie. This is a spicy book so I wouldn't recommend it to anyone under the age of 18. This is not erotica by any means but it may offend some who prefer just reading clean romances. While this book is a part of the series and the men all appear in the books, this can be read as a stand-alone. I would highly recommend starting at the beginning though as the first two books were just as fabulously written as well.

Dark and Deadly by Tee O’Fallon is intense both in the romance and the suspense. Tee was an officer and there are several details throughout the book that prove this. Tess and her brother Jesse had an unusual and traumatic past. This justified some of Tess’s decisions. Eric is dreamy. I truly enjoyed his character. And of course you cannot help but love Tiger, his K9. Enjoyed how the author created scenes between Eric and Jesse and Tiger. I enjoyed the scenes between Tess and Eric after she moves in and tries to bring some color into this life. I found it interesting how the author brought their personalities to life through their surroundings. And there was enough of Dayne’s personality and intrigue to have me already looking for when his book is coming out. If you enjoy heros and their K9 and a story full of danger and romance you will enjoy Dark N Deadly. Sexual content – 4 several scenes with great detail. Violence – both past and present but not graphic detail Language – 4 Drinking – little to no drinking I received this book from Netgalley. I was not required to write a positive review. You can see my full review at More Than a Review dot com where I rate the level of sex, violence, language and drug/alcohol use in books.

When ATF Special Agent Eric Miller and his explosives detecting K-9, pull over a truck full of explosive content, he shocked to discover that the driver is the kid brother of the woman he left behind and who still haunts his days and his nights. Tess McTavish never forget the handsome, dangerous agent who vanished in a shroud of mystery but the last thing she needs is an ATF agent with his own agenda, because even though Tess and her brother are innocent, if Eric learns the truth of their past, they will never be free. This ‘Federal K-9 story is an engaging and extremely suspenseful read that keeps readers biting their nails and gasping in surprise. The characters are strong, bold and easily draw readers into their story and the chemistry between the hero and the heroine oozes lots of electrical energy from the pages. The relationship however hanging on to edge of a cliff with every possibility of a crash landing as secrets and drive for revenge threaten to keep Eric and Tess apart. The fast paced plot not only has a suspenseful romance but the entire story is full of thrilling suspense, adrenaline pumping excitement and surprising twist that keeps readers glued to the pages as the connection between Tess and the man Eric holds responsible for a deadly explosion becomes apparent. And readers have no choice but to acknowledge the heroic efforts of the very special Tiger as even he tries his best to help Eric in falling in love with and protecting Tess and her brother in this dangerously exciting romance.

Full of action and intrigue from page one! DARK 'N' DEADLY is the third book in Tee O'Fallon's Federal K-9 series and revolves around an ATF Special Agent and a woman out to protect her little brother in a quasi reunion/enemies to lovers story. Eric was quick to command attention from the very beginning when he listens to his gut instinct and pulls over a suspicious truck. He's a well developed character with a past that haunts him and that has led him to this place looking for revenge and justice. Tess is a strong, independent woman who will do anything to get her little brother out of trouble. She failed him in the past, and she won't be able to live with herself if she does it again. Secrets just might be her downfall with Eric ... but will it be worth it if she saves her brother? I highly recommend this story to anyone loving an action packed mystery filled with intrigue, romance and camaraderie. The entire series has been attention grabbing, but this one stole my heart as my fav so far!

Another great suspense filled story from Tee! Just enough tension between the characters, one incredible K-9 and stellar writing. Eric is a federal agent along with his K-9 partner Tiger. Tess is a woman with a past she's hiding from, one that she's put behind her and hopes never to revisit. When her young brother she had to leave behind in Alabama is caught driving a truck with explosives he calls Tess. Tess of course goes and there she meets Eric again. The two have a little history, she's the woman that Eric would never allow him to have. Eric wants to believe her brother is telling the truth about not knowing what he was driving, adding to that his sister instructs him not to bring up their past, at all. So they both withhold their history, as terrible as it was in Alabama. Eric knows there's a terrorist cell there. He knows because one of their bombs killed his friends and severely injured him. Eric makes the decision to bring them to his house to keep an eye on them, keep them safe and await the lab conclusion for the contents of the drums the kid was hauling. While Tess is all about vivid color, crystals and yoga, Eric is black, white and grey. In fact his whole house is black, white and grey. He says it's less chaotic. His manner is black and white, no grey. But he loves Tess's color and the light she brings to his life. He just doesn't allow himself to go there. Tiger and Tess's brother develop a kindred relationship and Eric even teaches him commands and how the dogs are trained. The plot thickens from there and it's a suspenseful, didn't see that coming, series of twists and turns along with the further developing sexual tension between Eric and Tess. Tension boils over, truths are told, stories are pieced together and there are many an angry word spewed. This wasn't my favorite book from Tee, but it's still a 4.5 from me.

This was my first read from Tee O'Fallon and I am happy that I found a new romantic suspense author to add to my collection. Even though this is the third book in her Federal K-9 series, the story is stand-alone. So you don't have to read the others first. Although, now I think I will go back and read them! This is the story of ATF Agent Eric and Tess, whose brother finds himself in legal trouble. Eric and Tess first met in a previous story and this is several months later. They have an opposites-attract kind of thing and find themselves working together to prevent a bombing. They have baggage and Tess has a traumatic childhood that creates obstacles for them. I would probably classify this as more romantic action than suspense. I had the opportunity to read an early copy in exchange for an honest review.

Oh the action this book has! We get to see Tess and Eric's story come together. In the previous book we found they had a connection, not acted upon, but the start of one. Now we see how they really feel and how they become a couple. I loved the strength Tess had and her determination to help and protect her brother. Tess and her brother had been separated but found each other again. Their story is a sad and hurtful one, but thankfully their bond restrengthens as they find one another again. Thankfully Eric is there to help. Tess and Jesse become important to Eric and he finds himself in an overprotective mode, much to his chagrin. Their story is action packed, with violence and hot loving. They learn the truth about each other, develop mutual respect and admiration, and truly want to be together. This is another great addition to the series. And as a bonus you get to see Eric's law enforcement K-9 brothers again! I received this book in exchange for an honest review from the publisher through Netgalley.

I just adored this whole book! Who wouldn’t love a hot federal officer with his K-9 companion - Eric and Tiger are just too good to be true as far as Tess can tell. When she meets up with him again as she’s trying to help her brother she knows she can’t let him learn the truth about her past without disgusting the very person she’s been a little in love, or lust, with, since they first met. They have obstacles like crazy between them and it kept me wondering to the very end how it would turn out. This is considered a stand alone book but I definitely want to read the first 2 Federal K-9 books in the series. Great job Tee O’Fallon, you have a winner of a story! I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

It's impossible not to love anything by Tee O'Fallon. I first fell in love with her writing style with Blood Money. She has this way of blending suspense and intrigue together that bleeds into the romance rather than depending on it. Every element has a purpose and you can't help but be hooked by the story. In Dark 'n' Deadly, each action had a realistic reaction and the secrets that were destined to be revealed held so much weight, giving this story its heft and its depth, allowing the characters to grow and evolve, letting what developed seem almost natural. If you like your romance to be high in suspense and love, you'll love the story of Eric and Tess and the mess she created and the mess he cleaned up. It was filled with moments of sweetness, fear, love, and it made for some amazing entertainment.

Great thriller filled with action, mystery, and lots of steamy romance! Tess was born and raised in Louisiana by her step father, a known sovereign citizen leader. His cruelty and evil have no limits. Tess was lucky enough to escape at the age of 18, but had to leave her baby brother behind. Fast forward ten years, and Tess has made a life for herself in New Jersey where she has friends, a job, and is working on her degree. Out of the blue her brother calls begging for her help. It appears their step father has upped his ante and is using Jesse to transport explosives which will be used to build a bomb and cause massive destruction. Can Tess, while working with Eric and his K-9 dog Tiger, help stop her step father before it is too late? Will Erick ever be able to get past all the lies and deceit to find happiness with Tess? I received an advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Opposites really do attract, and you can’t get any more opposite than Eric Miller and Tess McTavish. Eric and is super adorable (yet deadly) K-9, Tiger have a strict regime, everything is black and white (or grey and white), rules are rules, and life should be orderly. Tess on the other hand just loves colour, the brighter the better, and quite honestly she does live in her own dream world, also, she’s a huge fan of feng shui, crystals, yoga etc, etc, you get my gist. When their worlds collide the attraction they feel towards each other cannot be ignored, no matter how hard they try. Add in the secrets and lies, oh and let’s not forget about the possible bomb threat, and you’re in for a roller coaster of a ride. I’m loving the Federal K-9 series, of which this is book 3, they can however all be read as standalones. I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. This is my honest review.

This may be book 3 in the Federal K-9 series but it can absolutely be read as a stand alone and still understood. However, I do recommend the previous books because they did introduce these 2 characters and they are just great reads. In this one we get Eric Miller and Tess McTavish story. Eric works for the ATF and pulls over Tess's little brother in a truck that is full of explosives. Tess drops everything and comes to try to get her brother out of trouble, and hopefully disappear again before they are found. Little does she know, the minute she came to help she was already found and in danger. And Eric doesn't know yet exactly what is going on yet, but he has a feeling that it has to do with the man he wants to bring down more than anything. Now he has to decide between revenge and keeping Tess and her brother safe. I absolutely loved this one! Eric is this stand up, sweet, alpha man who has demons that he still has to face. But it really doesn't stop him from doing what he needs to or figuring out what he needs to be happy. Tess went through so much growing up but she still manages to keep a light in her that I loved! The fact that she doesn't let those things hold her back and is still trying to make her dreams come true all while trying to help her brother-loved everything about her!! This book had suspense but it also had a couple that truly falls in love and realizes exactly what they need to do in order to make a true future for themselves.

I have loved every book in this K-9 series and this one was no exception. The books always have plenty of drama and suspense but also a great romance story and the true star of the show is always the dog. The two characters in this book are total opposites Eric Miller and his dog Tiger are totally in control at all times everything by the book Eric has a rule and a time for everything in his life Then he meets Tess McTavish she is a woman who believes in no rules and tends to live in her won dream world believing in a lot of things that Eric would see as hocus pocus, but they are perfect for one another she makes him unwind and he grounds her. With her and her brother involved with the group that Eric believes expressible for his teams death years ago is he only using her or will something that can last develop between them. I was given a copy of this book but this is a true and honest review

Dark ‘N Deadly is book three in Tee O’Fallon’s Federal K-9 series. I can tell you that these books can be read as standalone titles because this is the first one I’ve read in the series and had I not known there were other books, I would have assumed it was a standalone book. However, I’m a fan of series books so I’m always going to recommend you read them in order because I feel like you get more out of each book. So, at some point, I’ll be going back to read books one and two because I really liked this book. And I’ll tell you why! I love romantic suspense. I’ve always loved romance books but Nora Roberts’ Hidden Riches made me fall in love with romantic suspense. (It still tops the list as one of my all-time favorite books!) And while contemporary romance, military romance, and romantic comedies are all great reads, romantic suspense is my #1 favorite subgenre in romance books. So…Dark ‘N Deadly… With one phone call, Tess is yanked back into a past that she had very nearly not escaped from. Only this time, it’s a lot more dangerous and a lot more complicated than it ever was. And while she’s thrilled her little brother is back in her life, she’s not so thrilled (or maybe too thrilled when she shouldn’t be) to have ATF Special Agent Eric Miller and his K-9 partner, Tiger, in her life. With both Tess and her little brother, Jesse’s lives on the line, will Eric and his team be able to save them, themselves, and potentially countless others in time? NICUnurse’s Rating: As far as romantic suspense goes, this book had all the right elements and the plot unfolded in all the right ways. It had a complicated but inherently good hero and heroine, a complicated storyline that unfolded just enough with each chapter that it drug the reader (that’s me, btw) deeper and deeper into the mystery without a huge information dump to confuse or make the reader lose interest, and a plot twist you don’t quite see coming but isn’t so far out in left field it feels like it doesn’t belong in the story at all. Looks like it’s three for the win with this book: 3 great plot elements, 3 great main characters, and it’s the 3rd book in the series so we’ll just call Dark ‘N Deadly a triple threat! I give Dark ‘N Deadly by Tee O’Fallon 4.5 out of 5 stars!

. Wow, another amazing story in this amazing series. From the first page until the last, this thriller pulled me in and kept me on the edge of my seat until the end. It was non stop action, suspense, intrigue and danger. Eric and Tess were great characters. There were many wonderful characters in this thrilling story that I would love to read more about. I also love all of the K 9's in in this series. I can't wait to read what this talented author writes next.

When ATF Special Agent Eric Miller pulls over an old truck, he has no idea what events have been set in motion. The driver is Jesse McTavish, who is unknowingly hauling explosive material. Jesse is the younger brother of Tess whom Eric met, and was immediately attracted to, a year ago at the Dog Park Café. Tess has never forgotten Eric, but her past still haunts her and she must avoid him at all costs. He along with his K-9 Tiger and Federal K-9 friends will race the clock to thwart a group that plans to build and activate a bomb, killing thousands. When Tess realizes who Eric is after, the man who is responsible for the death of his ATF colleagues, will he understand why she hid from her past? A thrill-ride as Eric and Tess fight for justice and their need for each other. A strong storyline and amazing characters, with visits from past characters, make this book and series so very special. I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation for an honest review. (by paytonpuppy)

If I could give this book a 10 star rating I would. We are back with the K-9 group of officers who with their brave and wonderful dogs, fight for justice . This time the story belongs to ATF Special Agent Eric Miller, his dog Tiger and Tess McTavish. A woman he’s been avoiding because of his attraction to her. She has secrets and he has an agenda to catch the person responsible for the deaths of his friends. Fate brings them back together when Tess’s brother , a boy she hasn’t seen in 10 years, reaches out to her. when he’s in trouble. The story is filled with action , bad guys, half-truths, and an attraction that can’t be denied. It’s also a story about how our childhood does in fact molds us as adults. Scars remain, as do the fears from long ago. At times heart wrenching as your heart feels crushed and beating fast, not only because of the action, but also because these two have had to overcome so very much not only individually but also together. Can they overcome the danger that surrounds them as well as the mistrust and fears of being hurt emotionally? Once again, the author excels in her storytelling. Can’t wait to see what else the author has in store for us. Hopefully it will be Dayne’s story. I was entrusted this copy by Netgalley and Entangled Publishing. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

Like the others in this series Dark 'N' Deadly features a hot cop and his K-9 companion. This book takes us to some dark places where you are glad we have heroes like ATF Special Agent Eric Miller and his explosives detecting K-9, Tiger to keep us safe. I absolutely adored hippy dippy Tess McTavish and the way she shakes up Eric’s world. This is a well written story bound to keep you flipping pages. A terrific addition to the series but each book can be read stand alone.

LOVED this book! Wow! This is a great read that kept me up half the night reading because I couldn't put it down. This is Tess's story and opens with her rushing to help the brother she hasn't seen for ten years. He called her just before being arrested by Eric, the ATF agent that captured Tess's interest before he suddenly disappeared. They're thrown together to try and take down a bomber with links to a group of sovereign citizens, but Tess and her brother have secrets they're afraid to share. I loved the characters in this novel. As tragic as it was, I loved learning Tess's story and the way she overcame her past. Eric has a difficult past as well, but doesn't share it easily. Together, while fighting their attraction to each other, they try to see if their broken pieces fit together while also fighting to stop a bomber. While this is part of a series, this is a stand alone novel, however it's so good that you really owe it to yourself to read them all. This is a must read for fans of the genre. The author is on my must read authors' list and, if you enjoy romantic suspense, should probably be on your must read list as well.
