Fear of the dark and the unknown are things that Michael has carried with him for years. As a young boy wandering the streets of Minneapolis, he learned to survive by stealing and violence. Eventually becoming a hardened criminal, Michael finds himself in prison. Upon his release, he flees to California to escape the cold and his past.
