The dialogue is from some potboiler, college students from the early 80s (what 2000s college student can't use a computer?), and the mystery itself rather cliche. The stereotypes flow thickly, too, making the characters unbelievable. A big drop in quality from the previous two (also belying belief, but fun) books in this series.
