Deep in the Night is part of the Hot City Nights contemporary romance series of steamy contemporary romances with urban settings, but it can be read and enjoyed on its own. It is a full-length novel—no cliffhanger!
“Scorching loves scenes and two distinctive, idiosyncratic characters pull this book out of the ordinary. Ryan’s novel is impossible to put down. She knows how to capture a reader’s attention and refuses to let it go.” Affaire de Coeur
“I found the love scenes in this book to be explosive, but also tender and loving. A terrific book.” Under the Covers
“Deep in the Night pairs two strong-willed characters from opposite back-grounds whose relationship explodes with red-hot romantic sparks.” RT BookReviews

Most Helpful Customer Reviews
Roman Fitzpatrick is a straight arrow who plays by the rules. The one time he made an exception and tried to help an informant it backfired and he paid a high price. His career and his reputation were destroyed and he was charged with murder. He quit the police force after the charges were dropped. Now he's a bodyguard. His latest job is protecting Summer Love. She's not receptive to the idea. It's just his luck that he needs to stay close to a stubborn and very sexy woman who drives him crazy. Summer is a free spirit who wants to do her own thing. She's smart, talented and stubborn. He's attracted to her until he finds out she's a gossip columnist. He can't stand the press. They destroyed his career with inflammatory articles. What a battle of wills! Roman gives in. He can't stay away from Summer. I liked him. He's a good guy who's willing to put his life on the line. He has strict values and is stubborn in his beliefs. His dedication and his loving heart make him a hero. When these two are together, the chemistry is amazing. He cares but is afraid to commit. After all he has nothing to offer her. They make the perfect crime solving couple. I wanted a HEA. Deep In The Night is a suspenseful story with plenty of action and romance. I liked the characters, the setting and the playful dialogue. Patricia Ryan throws in a surprising twist that shocked me. I didn't see it coming. I'm a fan of the Hot City Nights series. I received a copy in exchange for an honest and unscripted review.
