Overview

Deep Midnight by Heather Graham

"An incredible storyteller." —Los Angeles Daily News

The Hour When Dreams Turn into Nightmares. . .

Hosted by the Contessa della Trieste, an opulent Carnevale ball in Venice takes a terrifying turn for American book critic Jordan Riley. As festivity turns into frenzy, Jordan is rescued by a powerful man disguised as a wolf. But was the mayhem she witnessed—the blood, the fangs, the screams—truly just entertainment, or something far more sinister?

From a deconsecrated Venetian church to a secret society in New Orleans, Jordan is led on a nightmare journey to the razor's edge of reality. Her mysterious savior is always a shadow behind her, both tormenting and tantalizing her, as Jordan discovers a world of predators and survivors, a new order of vampires—and an eternal hunger that threatens to consume her.

I was so happy to see a Heather Graham book I had yet to read. Imagine my dismay to find the typo's were unbelievable! I gave up and put it in the read shelf and didn't finish. if typo's botther you - tide instead of title; 1's instead of exclamation points; as examples- don't even try this book. If it was a print book, I'd have taken it back and gotten my money back. As it is, in a nook book, it just sits unfinished. Sentences didn't even make sense in many cases. where are the editors? Have they gone on strike or something? I hope my next Heather Graham book is better.

I love stories about the supernatural. Some go a little overboard with the graphic overtones. Heather Graham does a wonderful job of letting your imagination roam instead of putting it into her own words. Thank you.

I love every book by Heather Graham / Shannon Drake but someone is not checking the spelling or punctuation in your online books very well.

I like the overall storyline and the author's description of Carnivale season in Venice. She gets too bogged down, however, in conversations between our main character, Jordan Riley, and the costume shop owner and her worker. These conversations and latte drinking time don't really move the story along. And I was almost halfway through the book before there was passages of passion and sensuality between Jordan Riley and the male love interest. HALFWAY THROUGH THE BOOK! ALSO, it took forever for the author to reveal whether I was reading a book about vampires or about werewolves! Action got better when Jordan flew back to the US to meet with an author of a book she's reviewing. Overall, this was a better than average book. I wasn't convinced of the chemistry between this 1000-year old vampire and the American Jordan Riley.

Way too many editing issues to make it enjoyable as an ebook.

The story is good, sometimes a little hard to follow. I had read there were typos and normally I can figure out what they mean. However there were a couple of times I just had to skip and go on.

I really enjoy this author but this book was hard to follow as I kept getting distracted by all spelling errors & dialogue disruption. Should have been a freebie.

Lots of misspelled words making it a hard read. Way to wordy, could cut 200 pages and helped the story line.

I would have to tear the front cover to be able to read the book!
