Started slow at first, but then takes off. Filled with humor and heart ache. I really liked how the story was intertwined with the other books in the series. Great 360 view.

I've always wanted to know more about Eirik - he's been such an important character, and I just couldn't get enough of him. Here, we get to see what happens as he starts to mature into his role of Baldur's son. My heart is bleeding for Eirik. He loved Raine, then lost her. He loved Cora, then lost her in an even bigger way. Now, he's alone, separated from his friends, and living a tortured life in Hel. His heart has been shattered into millions of tiny pieces. He was once a sunny boy, now he's almost broken. Eirik could perhaps be one of the most complicated characters in this book, and it was amazing to watch him develop. Enter new character - Celestia. I love her! She's quirky, fun, and kind hearted, and I think she is so, so perfect for Eirik. They both have a lot of light, but a bit of darkness in them too, and I think that's wat draws them together. It was nice to get a good experience of the Norse world outside of Kayville. I, for one was so glad to see Eirik finally find the perfect person for him, after so long a time of hurting. As for Celestia, I just can't wait to see her get integrated with the rest of the gang - I feel like she and Cora would get along really well. So buy this book right now!

Must read! Demons starts where Grimnirs, book 3 of the Runes series ends. This book covers Eirik's experience in Hel. Even if you didn't like Eirik in Runes, you should read this book because Eirik's character really starts to blossom here. *Spoiler alert* Eirik meets Celestia and romance develops. Eirik finds out he is a dragon shifter but he doesn't tell Celestia because she hates things with scales. Danger lurks and secrets are revealed. The conclusion is heartbreaking, so it's fortunate that this is not the end of the series.

Such a great book! I definitely recommend this book if you are into dragons, gods, orges, and witches. It has all that and more. In there you start to understand alittle more about Eirik and his parents. I could go on and on about Eirik's feelings for Cora and how he wants to kill the Grimnir that stole his only love as he believes, until he meets the beautiful and sassy Celestia and then you see how his feelings start to conflict. Can't wait for book 2!! I honestly can't go into detail more than that because I don't want to spoil the book and I know that I would give away everything and I just couldn't do that to an author who I absolutely love!

Eirik - sigh. After meeting the golden boy next door in Runes, I always wanted to like him more. I liked him fine, but I did love him or feel the need to go crazy if I didn't know more (like with Torin and Echo). In Demons you see a side of Eirik that I didn't think would exist. He's strong, fierce and determined. He meets his match in Celestia - she's strong willed, independent and intent on saving him. Their story... it's a love story, but it's also a life story. I loved getting in both of their heads and seeing what they were thinking, feeling how they were feeling. I cannot wait to see what happens next, the way it ended just leaves you wanting more and wanting it now. Hel - I never thought I would like a "bad guy" but the way her story is intertwined with Eirki's you feel for her, you want her to get some justice (you'll see what I mean). She is very like-able and I can can't wait to see what her motives are in the end.

Eirik's story continues with this book. As he tirelessly searches for his sister and evil grandmother his relationship with Celestia continues to grow. Once again this author has woven a story for her readers that is another page turner. This story is strong and very well written once again. I would highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys reading romance and paranormal.

And finally Eirik decides to move on from Cora but like I read on a previous review who knew Eirik felt so much for Cora I mean it was hinted that he had feeling for her but damn. Now to our new character Celestia the witch who knew she'd be such a good match for our moody god must be that take no bs attitude she has with him I feel that they make such a good match and that he should hurry the eff up and kiss her. Now on to character development I so love Hel its like Eva Pohler Hades they both need a series for them only and Mr. flashlight I mean Baldur he seems so freakin perfect for our moody goddess, I liked Hayden, Zack and Celestia's dad they're a good support characters for Celestia and I for some time tought that Hayden was Eirik sister but I was proved wrong and finally crazy granny I've seen such annoying character than her and biting Dimples that was a dirty move and again with Maliina and the norms they're like bad weed they appear everywhere.

Loved this book, Ednah does it again. This book is full of magic, excitement and fun. I thought that I knew what was going to happen and boom the story took a different turn than I thought it would. I put my e-reader down to let it sink in what happened. Great paranormal read. I love Ednah Walters books, she adds depth to her characters, and they grow as the stories grow. Definitely a must read..

I've been reading Ednah's books since she first started. I have fallen in love with her characters probably as much as she has. When you're this invested in a series it's amazing to see the changes in some of the characters. Eirik started out as a supporting character in Raine Coopers story Runes. While I knew he always had a rich & complex story of his own I could NEVER have imagined it would be like this! Eirik has evolved from the "All-American", boy next door into a force to be reckoned with. While I'm a little sad to see his easy-going personality change; I am LOVING the new, in your face, take no crap, tough guy he's become. The wonderful thing about Eirik's story is you also get some great insight on his parents & why they are what they are. Then we are introduced to Celestia Devereaux. A powerful witch, who only wants to help Eirik even though he fights her every step of the way. She shows Eirik there's more to his life than vengeance & battle. Celestia (I love that name!) is brave & resourceful. She's over come some traumatic experiences that seem to have made her empathetic to Eirik's parental issues. I can't wait to see what more of her story we get to explore, as well as, their story together.
