In 1994 it was suggested to a then fifteen-year-old Heidi by a school counselor to try writing to help her get past some of the darkest moments faced by most teens. Though at the time she scoffed, she didn’t believe writing could help. Until one day when she picked up a pen, which to date still has not been put down.
