Die Damonen bei Augustinus und die antike Damonologie

This study is the first monographic presentation of Augustine's demonology and its backgrounds. The existence of demons was considered as real by pagans as well as Christians, by educated persons as well as by uneducated ones in antiquity. Augustine has made a significant contribution to spread the Christian ideas of demons - even historically effected.
