Die on Vineyards Island

Following his early retirement from the Boston Police Department following a shooting that left him wounded and with a bullet lodged in his spine as a memento, Jeff Jackson returns to Vineyard Island to settle his late father's affairs and take up fishing.
Dr. Zee Madieras, a medical examiner at the local hospital and daughter of the police chief, is also an old friend who spent the summer with Jackson on the island.
