Overview

The source of the famous phrase "I think, therefore I am," DISCOURSE ON THE METHOD is one of the most important works of western philosophy. In his DISCOURSE, Descartes examines the problem of skepticism, including his own toward the existence of the soul and of God. In the end, Descartes establishes (through deduction) the existence of God and of the soul.
