An enjoyable read.

I absolutley loved this book!! I was sent an ARC for this novel and in turn had to write a review but I am purchasing this novel anyhow just so I am able to own a physical.copy or this book. I was always so very excited and very interested in seeing how Lucas McIntyres daughter ended growing uo dealing with the fallout of the end of.the world. In past novels, we only knew her as a very little girl playing and annoying Elise and her hair. After all of the events of the novel Sins of Eden this left us all wondering what the fate of the other characters whom all supported Elise in one way or another, and her novels following Sins of Eden have gone I depth with many of those characters we have come to know and love. It is finally Danas turn and we get to know.more about her and her life as she follows in her parents footsteps. Dana is now part of the hunting club, and some would say(she herself would say) that she IS the hunting club. She gets bitten by a master vampire and no one knows better what follows then Dana herself. she now has to.deal.with the hard facts of her impending doom, and refuses to turn. as she fights her way through more vampires and a relationship, she is sewrching for a cure. this cure is her only chance to continue her mortal.life and regardless she plans on taking out as many as she can on her ride down. in order to.find this cure it forces Dana to work with the very creatures who have infected her, but can she work alongside these evil creatures she has been killing off for all these years? this book was an amazing read and really letds us get to know Dana is a different light. you really learn about the person is is now... not the daughter of, or adopted sister of... you learn of Dana herself, rough edges and all. she is such a very intricate and interesting character and I was so very happy to learn more about her. It was even more interesting to watch her grow and learn more about the creatures that she has always viewed as evil. Not everything that is dark is evil just as everything that is light is not always good. Dana especially hates these vampires as one of them haunts her and her beloved year after year , so by going into the vampires lair maybe she can solves this other ongoing mystery that is affexted both her life and the life of the one she loves. Dana, so very like Elise tends to.push others away when hunting and dealing with the more.difficult things in life or maybe unlife. I loved this book and cannot wait to read.more into her story and that of the other characters that we meet and some.older ones we know and love

This book is so different from all the others I've read by this author. I love Dana but kind of hate her at the same time. She's funny but not really an easily loveable character. None of them are in my opinion other than Anthony. The story is at least a bit interesting. I'm hoping there's more about the serial killer though.

This was a great book to read. The characters personalities were so different and interesting. Can't wait for the next book to see what happen.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I'm going to be honest. I wasn't enthused when I found out a book was being written with Dana as the lead. Although I'm familiar with her, I just didn't see her as protag material but of course SM Reine proved me wrong. Dana is basically female Arnold Schwarzenegger. She's a tank and a complete bada**. This series even FEELS different from the other series' by this author. This one feels like straight up action movie beauty. Not only is the cover of this book amazing, but I could have seen this on the big screen as well. Dana is turning into a vampire but she's trying to stop it. And if you know anything about Dana, you know she is not here for that vamp mess considering she's a vampire hunter. It's a short read but well worth your time. I'm actually looking forward to future installments. I give this book 4 stars because the ending was lackluster and Nissa is just the worst. I get it. I know how the opposites attract thing is supposed to but ... She's almost insufferable. Then again, I still think Riley is insufferable despite being the alpha. Overall, I really can't believe how well this turned out and I'm excited for the next one.
