This is Niko's and Sadie's story. We first met Niko in Edge, but didn't really know him. As soon as Niko was first described in this book, I was in love with him. There is a lot of sexual tension between Niko and Sadie. They are both resisting each other, but for different reasons. They have great chemistry and I loved the banter between them. I laughed. I cried. I got pissed off. But in the end, it all worked out.

Each time I read one of the Fire on Ice books it becomes my favorite! I loved Ryke. Then I loved Luke a little more. But hands down Niko is my main man! He's big and tough with a gentle spirit! I think he is my future husband! Lucky Sadie! :-) The storyline was great and flowed nicely. The characters were likable and the "romance" was hot hot hot! You must read this series and every other works by this author!

Another amazing Hockey Hottie from Brenda Rothert!! TITLE~ Drive (Fire on Ice, #4)  AUTHOR~ Brenda Rothert   GENRE~ Adult Romance-Contemporary-Sports PUBLISHED~ July 26th 2014 by Brenda Rothert PURCHASED/COST~ ARC for Review MY RATING~ 5/5 MY THOUGHTS~  I chose to read this book because I love all things Brenda Rothert and I was provided with an ARC for review. Drive, book #4 of Brenda Rothert's Fire on Ice series is as absolutely amazing as the previous 3 books!! I don't even know where to begin with all my praises for this book! I'll start with the writing! Wow, author Brenda Rothert is an incredible writer! I've never read anything by her that I haven't loved. The characters are so very well developed and you really feel like you know them. I loved hearing more about the characters from the previous books in this one as well as the new supporting characters in this one. Ryke, Kate, Luke, Dell, the kids, plus the new people are great!  Once again, I was as captivated by this one every bit as much as those before it. I couldn't put it down. I just wanted to read about the hot Russian and his woman all day. And so I did! I can't wait to see what is next for this series as well as what's next for author Brenda Rothert in general!

I read this in one day. Could not put it down! I adore the way Ms. Rothert has the H/H meet in this book. She has lovely one-liners, is great with the male point-of-view and made me laugh throughout. So glad to read that she is considering a book #5.

Sometimes the one thing you're running from because you're afraid it will hurt you, is the one thing you need most in life. Sadie is alone in the world. Yes, she has dear friends who she considers family, but her blood relatives closest to her passed away leaving her with a hole in her heart. In her loneliness she creates this idea that she only has herself to survive. Nikola Vereshkova or Niko comes from humble beginnings, to him family is the most important thing. When the opportunity comes to move to the big league, he needs to prove to himself that he's good enough to be there and to his family that he will do what it takes to help them the way they helped him. Their firsts encounter is a bit sketchy and Sadie forms the wrong opinion of Niko thanks to his own stupidity. From then on Niko is up to prove to her that he's not the person she believes him to be.Other than the fact that Niko is one hell of a hunk with a very sexy dirty mouth, he's sweet, he's loyal and when he loves he gives all of himself. Sadie breaks your heart at times, I completely understood where she was coming from and the doubts she had, but she remained strong and level headed. Their chemistry in the bedroom is no doubt hot and steamy, but their connection as friends is just incredibly beautiful. There is a very human depth and tenderness to this story and the characters. I wouldn't expected nothing less from Brenda, because that's the kind of story teller she is. She makes you feel and live the story as if it was your own. This is the fourth book in the Fire on Ice Series but each book can be read as a standalone. If you haven't read any books on this series or any books by Brenda yet, you're missing out on great stories and a lot of heart. Big 5 stars to Drive
