Driving Her Crazy by Kira Archer

Driven to (sexy) distraction...

Cher Debusshere hates being the black sheep of her posh, well-to-do family almost as much as she hates driving-which is exactly what she's forced to do when her flight home for her perfect sister's wedding is grounded. Fan-freakin'-tastic. Then a hot guy offers to share both the car rental and the driving duties...only to drive her crazy by assuming she's just some spoiled little rich girl.

Mechanic Nathaniel "Oz" Oserkowski is about as blue-collar as they come. There's never been a time he hasn't worked his ass off, and he's determined to prove it to the gorgeous princess in the passenger seat. As the miles pass, they bait and needle each other...until their lust and longing gets so hot it nearly overheats the engine.

They have nothing in common. Hell, they can barely stand each other. But sometimes it takes a journey to change the destination...

Kira Archer did a great job hooking me in from start to finish. I expected a light hearted romance and this book delivered that and so much more! I love a quick wit and these characters certainly delivered. Sometimes, you just wanted to reach in the book and smack one or both of them!! Cherice Debusshere is the black sheep from a well to do New York family trying to make it on her own as a “personal shopper”. Nathaniel “Oz” Oserkowski is a blue collar worker from North Carolina that is trying to make ends meet to support his sister and nephew. Cher is always disappointing her mother in some small way and in the opening scene she sets her alarm for pm instead of am and is running late for her flight back home in New York to her sister’s wedding. Oz is also checking in for the same flight for his dream job interview; a job that would replace 2 of the 3 jobs he currently works to support himself, sister, and nephew. While they are checking in, a major storm was brewing and canceling flights, by a stroke of luck Oz is able to secure the last rental car. Cher has a fear of driving and with no flights in the near future, takes a chance and accepts a ride with the stranger whom she thinks is married. The ensuing car ride is filled with witty banter, sexual tension, hopes, dreams, some more sexual tension, misunderstandings, and overall laugh out loud situations.

I started this series backwards and it felt like I was missing something when I read Kissing Her Crazy. Very true, because DRIVING HER CRAZY was exactly everything I was looking for in this series - pure, laugh out loud fun. An insecure heroine from a moneyed background and a blue collar, self-assured hero on a road trip? Everything that could go wrong did and left me in stitches. This is the stuff of comedy and I enjoyed every bit of it. Cherise Debusshere is the black sheep of her elite family because she is not as accomplished as the rest of them and has chosen to walk her own path, against her parents' plans for her. With her sister's wedding approaching, she's determined to any avoid criticism from her parents and the weather won't stop her from getting to New York even if it means sharing a car with a total stranger. Mechanic Nathaniel "Oz" Oserkowski is a hard worker, taking on the responsibility of fending for his sister and her son. His trip to New York would bring him closer to achieve his dreams, if the job interview pans out. Sharing a car and driving duties with the uptight stranger from the airport would make the drive pass faster but the unexpected chemistry between them throws him. On the surface, Cher and Oz are as different as can be but as the miles pass by, they find a lot of common ground between them. DRIVING HER CRAZY is filled with lots of funny and sexy moments but it also has some very sweet moments, one of which is how Oz's support and encouragement gave Cher the courage to stand up to her parents. this was such a hilarious read and I'm looking forward to more like this from Ms. Archer.

A rollicking road trip romance that left me with a goofy smile on my face! Kira Archer created a fine specimen of a Hero strapping, handsome with a great sense of humor. The Heroine is a fiery renegade who is up against a formidable foe - her mother. "Driving Her Crazy" is a spot on title because the two main characters butt heads almost from the first moment the set foot in the car. Most of their issues are brought about by misunderstandings and assumptions. However, they have far more in common than they realize. Ms Archer makes you sympathize and care about these characters. She also has you laughing at the shenanigans that befall them and fan yourself at the heat they generate. This novel is the first installment in the Crazy Love series. "Driving Her Crazy" is practically the textbook example of a Romantic Comedy. There is also a bit of a nod to the cinematic Rom-Com classic "It Happened One Night". Cherice is a sympathetic character but with just a few sentences she could clear up so much about herself, also as much as she hate how her mother treats people she falls back on just that behavior. Oz, even though he's charming and incredibly fun he can sometimes be really thin skinned, taking a kind and generous act by Cherice personally. Despite these couple of issues the hero and heroine have undeniably chemistry and Kira Archer knows how to write some blazing hot passionate sex scenes. The ending is Fan-Freaking-TASTIC!!! The story of two strangers forced by inclement weather to spend hours alone in a car as they drive to New York is both touching and humorous. Cher Debusshere is the black sheep in her rich and entitled family. She just can't live up to their expectations. Now she is spending quality time with Nathaniel Oserkowski a blue-collar mechanic. They are opposites in every way. They battle and fight continually and sparks fly. They dislike each other. Right? Nathaniel is a sigh-worthy hero. He loves his sister and nephew and sacrifices his dreams to help them. He doesn't understand Cher who lets her parents control her. She won't even try to do what she wants. I had difficulty liking Cher. I kept wanting to shake her and tell her to grow up. The chemistry between these two is amazing. They were perfect together. I wanted them to be together. I just wasn't sure if Cher would stand up to her family. I enjoyed Driving Her Crazy. Kira Archer is a new to me author. I like her style and inventive mind. I want to read more of her work.

What a sweet cute story! I liked and felt for Cherice. She had the weight of the world on her shoulders, family wise. I felt so much sympathy for her having to deal with her mother like that, always criticizing and harping on her. And her clumsiness, I could so relate. Poor thing! How she still had an upbeat personality, I would not know. Oz on the other hand, even though he was built like a brickhouse and loved riling Cherice up, made me frustrated from time to time with his jumping to conclusions or reading more into her words than was meant. Thankfully he wised up in the end and made it all worthwhile. I loved their bantering and name calling, getting to each other, yet encouraging and supporting one another at other times. Then the chemistry hit, and bam, they were hot together. I only wished there was more to the epilogue. It was funny and loving but I would have liked a little more of the in between times. I received this book in exchange for an honest review from the publisher.

My Thoughts: Impromptu road trip with a complete stranger and a side of sexy? YES, PLEASE. Cher and Nathaniel are on their way to New York when they don't make it to the gate in time for their flight. Then after all the other flights are grounded due to weather conditions at their destination, the only other option is to drive. Cher isn't too keen on this option, but she has to do it to make it to her sister's wedding in time. When Nathaniel gets the last car, he graciously offers to drive her to New York. She accepts and thus begins their day long road trip! The two of them seem to be from opposite sides of the tracks, and yet somehow they discover they have a lot more in common below the surface. This, of course, doesn't stop them from arguing when the other makes a good point that they don't want to hear. There's just something about Cher and Nathaniel, though...something that drives them closer instead of pushing them away. When they give themselves over to the passion, all bets are off because now they're playing with fire they might not be able to contain. Driving Her Crazy was a crazy unique story that kept me turning the pages. I was captivated by their journey--the frustrations, the speed bumps, and the epiphanies. The chemistry between Cher and Nathaniel was out of this world spectacular. I couldn't have asked for a greater connection. Kira Archer definitely has me intrigued for the next story, Kissing Her Crazy, especially for the pairing of characters met in this book! My Rating: Very Good

Driving Her Crazy was a cute funny about how opposites attract. Cher and Nathaniel "Oz" we're trapped in in a rental car when a storm turns into a hurricane and grounds all planes. Cher is trying to reach her sister's wedding and Oz is traveling to a job interview in NYC. They start the journey north and their chemistry is explosive. Can they overcome their differences and find their way to each other? Cute story with a quick pace and fun dialogue. I enjoyed it! I was given a free for an honest review by net galley.com

Cherice Debusshere has exactly one last chance to get something right, in her well-to-do family's eyes. She's long been the black sheep, and she's about to become a sacrificial lamb if she doesn't make her flight to New York in time for her sister's wedding. Then, when her flight is unexpectedly grounded because of inclement weather, she faces the hideous and horrifying prospect of driving all the way to her destination from North Carolina. She. Hates. Driving. Nathaniel "Oz" Oserkowski is a down-to-earth, perpetually optimistic, regular blue-collar guy, working three different jobs from newspaper delivery to auto mechanics to help provide for his family. He's on his way to New York for a job interview, basically his last chance to do what he's always wanted to do with his life, when his plane, too, is grounded. He snatches up the last rental car and is faced with the spoiled, rich-looking debutante as his unwilling passenger. It's a long way from North Carolina to New York. Surely they can keep from killing one another --- or ripping each other's clothes off --- for the duration of the drive together. Right? Entangled Publishing's Lovestruck imprint presents the newly released contemporary romance DRIVING HER CRAZY, a "Crazy Love Story" by Kira Archer. It's said that close proximity is half the battle in consummating a relationship (sexual or otherwise). After all, consistent exposure to another person, day after day, or hour after hour, and especially under stressful circumstances with emotions already running high, is really the perfect incubator for romantic, sexual, and emotional tension. With Cherice and Oz trapped in a car for the drive to New York, you'll certainly be obliged to agree. At first, the sparks flying between them are well-placed insults and similarly barbed comments. To him, she's the spoiled rotten rich girl who never had to work a day in her life and wouldn't know what to do if she had to hold down a job. To her, he's a disrespectful, irreverent jerk determined to drive her crazy. Hence the title of the novel. Later, in true romance form, the verbal sparring is joined (not replaced, which maintains the interest and tension all the better) by a more than healthy dose of sexual attraction, which increases with every heated exchange between the characters until the final, scintillating conclusion. While I enjoy sexual tension in a romance just as much as the next reader, I'm a sucker for three-dimensional characters who command a fierce repartee. The one-liners exchanged in DRIVING HER CRAZY will leave you holding a hand over your mouth in delighted shock, or holding your sides with aching laughter, or both ... the best kind of romance novel. # # # Author: Kira Archer Title: DRIVING HER CRAZY Publisher: Entangled Publishing (Lovestruck) ISBN: 978-1-63375-376-1 Disclaimer: I received a complimentary copy of this work from the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest, though not necessarily positive, review. sexy, funny and delicious fun all rolled into one good book **A gifted copy was provided by the publisher for my honest review*** Cher Debusshere is the black sheep in her family & she hates that label. Her family is very wealthy and she has to go back to her sister’s wedding. If she is late or doesn’t show, her family will NEVER let her forget it. She is flying from North Carolina to New York. Also on the flight is Mechanic Nathaniel "Oz" Oserkowski . He is as blue collar as you can get. He is working 3 jobs and is supporting his sister and nephew and with this job interview, he won’t need the 3 jobs – for this is his dream job. In the seat next to him is a pampered princess of a lady- Her nose in the air type of woman. When bad weather grounds the airplane, he scrambles to find a car rental so he can make his interview or all hope is lost. He is able to get the last car when Cher somehow talks her way into the car trip. The trip is a bag of mixed tricks- they have so much chemistry yet in the same breath , annoy each other. There is a mix of irritation, pleasure, laughs, and building heat between the MC during this trip that ends in some of the most sizzling love-making between them. I enjoyed the road trip and the path between two people who came to realize that they are more than the outer shell presents. The path to the end of the story is wonderful. I highly recommend this story and the road to their falling in love was fantastic. OH and the scene between Cher standing up to her conceited parents was GREAT!! IT is something you definitely do not want to miss. There are so many great moments in this book. It is a DO NOT MISS. As for the secondary characters- I sure hope they get their own book—hint hint, Elliot—he sure needs his own book and soon! My rating: 4.5 STARS ****

Ok, this is my first Kira Archer read, and I am dying to get my hands on more of her books!! Driving Her Crazy drew me in from the beginning, with an alarm mishap, cancelled flights, and rides with a sexy stranger. And let's not forget the sparks flying between Cherice and Nathaniel (or Cher and Oz, depending on which character you were talking to :) ). I loved that these 2 couldn't seem to stand each other throughout the book. It made the build up to their relationship so much better :). I loved that Oz was like any other guy, and when he finds something that annoys someone, he makes sure to push their buttons with it. Cherice was definitely a prim and proper lady, with a hidden down and dirty side. I loved how the characters seemed to grow throughout the story, and finally stood up to go after what they wanted. I highly recommend Driving Her Crazy to anyone looking for a phenomenal read (just make sure you give yourself enough time to finish in one sitting, because you aren't going to want to put it down once you start!)

Cherice Buchanan Debusshere is going to her perfect sister’s wedding. Not anything too monumental you’d think but Cherice is the black sheep of the family, the one that never seems able to live up to the high expectations of her wealthy parents and is always the one that they look down on with disdain. She didn’t get the grades to go to med school like her sister and isn’t a brilliant fund raiser like her twin brother. Still, she’s going home for her sister’s wedding . . . . though setting the alarm for the evening instead of the morning, having a storm coming in cancelling all flights and the last hire car already hired out makes this look somewhat like mission impossible! Nathaniel Oserkowski is also supposed to be flying to the city but he’s going for an interview. Like Cherice he manages to reach security just after the doors to the plane have closed and, when the flight is then cancelled, he manages to snag the last available hire car. He’s not looking forward to the twelve or so hour drive on his own and kindly volunteers to take Cherice with him in the hope this attractive young lady will help him keep alert…. What neither had bargained for was their attraction to each other, their ability to spark off each other and mishaps en route. Buckle you seat belt and jump into this hilarious, heartwarming story complete with witty dialogue, stormy weather and steamy sexual tension. This is an impromptu road trip to romance, well written and a great story to escape into – highly recommended! Thanks to the authors, publisher and NetGalley, too for letting me read an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I really LOVED this one! The story is so cute and the characters were hilarious. The witty banter between Cher and Oz had me laughing out loud and drawing strange looks from the family! They are both on their way to NY from NC but when bad weather grounds all flights and Oz grabs the last available rental car, Cher reluctantly agrees to accept Oz's author and share the car. This is one road trip neither will forget!! Grab this one, I recommend it!

Driving Her Crazy is an unexpected treat. Of course it's unrealistic but that what makes it so intriguing. Cher and Nathaniel are as mismatched as you can get. She's rich, he's not. She's classy, he's rough around the edges. Forced together due to circumstance these two are about to discover that life is full of surprises. Kira Archer has written an engagingly humorous story full of irony and feeling. Driving Her Crazy was gifted to me in exchange for an honest review and I am looking forward to reading more books by this author.

At first glance these two seem totally unsuited to each other - a society girl and a blue collar worker, stuck together on an endless drive to New York after their flights get cancelled and they are desparate enough to make a bargain together. But of course, you can't judge a book by its cover and as it turns out they have more in common than they think. I really enjoyed this travelling romance, as Oz and Cherise reveal themselves to each other (literally by the end!) on their road to NY and happiness together. Cherise, who initially comes across as the ultimate society girl, is in fact unhappily trapped with a family with whom she's never felt good enough, and has never given herself the opportunity to go after what she wants versus what they want. She's a beautiful, friendly and warm woman when she's with the right people, the ones who make her feel that she's important and worth something. Oz is a hardworking family man, providing for his sister and her son in any way possible, including working 3 jobs to make ends meet. Not until he meets Cherise and encourages her to go after her dreams does it occur to him that he's been scared to go after his own. Together they had a lot of sexual chemistry that eventually led to some steamy scenes between them. I loved how their romance developed, and though it was an insta love type of story, they were a perfect fit. 4 stars for a fun and sexy tale, with lots of laughs and an easy happy ending.

I received this book through NetGalley.com in exchange for a honest review. Driving Her Crazy is full of craziness, romance and it ended too quickly. Cherice & Nathaniel aka Oz, meet at the airport and while they miss their flights from NC to NY due to a storm, Oz offers Cherice a chance to drive up to NY with him. Along the way they discover everything they ever wanted was sitting right next to them. I found this book to be a quick read but it was great in the sense that it kept me captivated from the first page to the very last word!! Thank You to Kira Archer for writing a book that keep me wanting more and sad to see it end.

all around feel good book. it just left me smiling! my first book by Kira Archer I will definitely be looking for more. The scenario is a little scary (strangers driving up coast together) but we'll done. the banter, nagging and sexual chemistry is alive and wonderful. the play between social classes, opposites attract is very enjoyable. Cher is fairly likable upper class lady who is afraid to go after what she truly wants and her family doesn't. this makes me able to sympathize with her and her struggle to make her way. Oz is a working class very lovable guy with a humorous personality that takes things very lightly but lives his family fiercely. you can't help but root for good things to happen with him. I would love to read Elliott's story, I'm thinking he'd be a great, fun hero
