The prequel to The Admiral: Roaring Currents focuses on the Battle of Hansan Island. Admiral Yi Sun-Shin keeps a close eye on the Japanese naval forces, preparing for their invasion at any time. Despite his strong leadership, Yi's fleet soon falls after facing the unbeatable Japanese warships. Yi must resort to using the secret dragon head ships to save the Korean forces and win the battle.
