I love Dr. Mark, after seeing him on the documentary "Fed" and seeing a couple of his specials, so I won't give this book a bad review. But after a few weeks, I haven't seen a difference. I won't lie, I am struggling to figure out what this is all about. I honestly wanted to believe in this book because his 10 Day Detox did a lot to improve my energy levels a few years ago. Recently, after being diagnosed with high blood pressure, one of the best things that my doctor suggested was to lose weight, I wanted this book to be a stepping stone to a solution to my current weight problem. It isn't and I am disappointed. Then, there are about ten supplements that you have to take to go along with this diet. Why can't I get that from my food? What also makes me sad is that my sister told me about another book that I saw somebody else recommend again in another book review on here. It's called Hungry Chick Diet. It is the first book that offers long term weight loss success. My sister has already lost eight pounds and I am still struggling because I was trying to incorporate things like the Bulletproof coffee from Eat Fat, Get Thin into my daily routine. I even tried eating an avocado, I don't like it. My suggestion, pick out the things that will work for you if you buy this book. But, remember when it comes to dieting, one diet doesn't fit all. As for me, I am waiting on my copy of Hungry Chick because I have still time to get myself ready for the summer.

I believe Dr Hyman to be an extremely knowledgeable doctor and I have many of his books. I understand the concept of eating more fat to lose weight but something altogether new is harder to put into action than what we have been taught is the correct way to diet. I bought the book as I thought it would be like "The Ten Day Detox" which has a meal plan. This book did not have a meal plan and I believe that this omission can lead to errors being made. Also what do you do if you have GERD?
