This work of literary research reconstructs a global history of lyric poetry from its sources. The four volumes treat the written lyric of 4500 years - from the Mesopotamian to the global lyric of now - seeking to answer a simple question: Since when, where, how and why did and does this unlikely kind of language use, that we call the lyric, exist?
