This book is packed with suspense and desire! I was almost close to tears in the beginning of the story where Elizabeth's daughter writes letters to Dash, giving him a reason to live and fight for his life. Then he shows up and aids the mother and daughter while they are literally running for their lives! I couldn't put this book down (as I can't put down any of the other Breed Series books) but I think this is the crown jewel. Great story, it draws you in. The characters' sexual encounters are so steamy, the words could give you a facial! I also recommend J.R.Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood, Lynn Viehl's Darkyn Series, and Lara Adrian's Midnight Breed Series, and Gena Showalter's Lords of the Underwold Series. These authors, along with Lora Leigh, are at the top of the Paranormial Romance authors.

I have to say that the first Lora Leigh book that I read was Coyotes Mate and I was unaware at the time I was buying into a series. After reading it I was determined to find more by this author. Elizabeth's Wolf was the closest I could come to the start of the series and I found it a non-stop read. Ms. Leigh brings to life a man and woman from two very different worlds and makes the characters very believeable as well as bringing to life her breed world. From the first page of the book where this injured soldier lays in a hospital bed almost dead having a letter read to him from a little girl across an ocean to the point when he finally meets mother and child it is non-stop depth. I love it when a author can bring both imagination and realism to a book and keep it believable. She has created an entirely new race using technology that is very real and very debated in this day and age and set it not to far in the future. She has created characters that continually pop up from book to book and they continually grow as does there world. But be very aware that Ms. Leigh's books are not for the faint of heart-she is very to the point with her love scenes. But I can honestly say that I look forward to her next book and more of her breed world to unfold.

Although this is listed as Book 4 in the Wolf Breed series, the events take place earlier. We are given a chance to visit the start of the Breed World just after announcement of their existence with characters who are pivotal in both the Feline and Wolf breed books. Dash is a sympathetic hero who steals the reader's heart. Elizabeth is a strong mother pushing herself to do what's best for her child. Cassie as a young child is even more endearing than as a young adult. The plot is intricate, the timing excellent and the relationships between all the characters intriguing. In this book Ms. Leigh does an excellent job of hinting at events that occur in other books. A fantastic book that I highly recommend.

This was the first book about the Wolf Breeds that I read. I was captivated form beginning to end and fell in love with each of the characters. Dash's & Elizabeth's relationship was absolutely intense, sexy, hot, and breath taking. I'm glad that Dash found a family with Elizabeth & Cassie. Once again, Lora Leigh gives you just enough the keep you reading the rest of the breeds books.I hope to read more about Cassie in future books, there are still unanswered questions and so much mystery surrounding this little girl.

Finally a story where the couple isn't rude to each other! They actually seem to fall in love and Elizabeth seems like a nice girl rather than a sarcastic potty mouth always talking back. That annoys me so much, and one of the things I disliked about the other books in this series.

Hello everybody! Andromeda here! You all do realize that the Exceed Packs central is at 'lycanthrope', right? Nobody's posed there! Remember, Exceed Packs Introduction res one, Pack Descriptions res three, Pups Needing Rping res four, Rule Code res five. After res five are pack borders, writing nook, weather vote... along with three unused reses open for ideas on what to do with them. Remember to tell all new pack members to check out the rules and introduction.
Tomorrow is the official start of our seasons! We are beginning with spring. You can find the weather vote at 'lycanthrope' which is where youcan vote for weather occurences. Remember to try and keep your vote relatively realistic. Also, anybody who wants to be our designated "weather wolf" or pretty much the person who goes around to all of the packs and rps as the weather, notify me!
One last thing. Our evil pack, Mad-Eye Pack, has grown inactive and is now no longer a part of the Exceed Packs. If you rp in an evil wolf pack, or would like to start a new one for the Exceed Packs, notify me at 'cave wolf' res one. Have a nice day, and happy rping! ~ &hearts@ndr0m€d@&hearts

I really enjoy the Wolf and Feline series by Lora Leigh. What I liked the most about this one is the fact that it brings the Feline Breeds and the Wolf Breeds together, working side by side. But I do believe I like the Feline Breed series just a little better.

This is a reread of a book I first read back in 2008. The publisher has re-released Elizabeth’s Wolf in advance of Cassie’s story line-Cross Breed. REVIEW: ELIZABETH’S WOLF is the third instalment in Lora Leigh’s contemporary, adult BREEDS erotic, paranormal romance series. This is Special Forces soldier and Wolf Breed Dash Sinclair, and Elizabeth and her seven-year old daughter Cassie Colder’s story line. ELIZABETH’S WOLF can be read as a stand alone but I recommend reading the series in order for back story and cohesion as there is a continuing premise throughout. SOME BACKGROUND: Lora Leigh’s paranormal Breed series focuses on a government experiment that went horribly wrong. Trying to create the ultimate warrior and weapon, scientists combined animal DNA with human embryos resulting in a species that has been feared and tortured since their inception. Hoping to prevent their exposure, the Breeds are hunted, tortured, tested and destroyed by the very people who created them. This is not a series about animal shifters, but a series about humans created with animal DNA. Told from dual third person perspectives (Dash and Elizabeth) ELIZABETH’S WOLF follows the building relationship between Special Forces soldier and wolf Breed Dash Sinclair, and human Elizabeth Colder. Elizabeth and seven year old Cassie Colder are on the run. With the recent murder of Elizabeth’s abusive husband, Cassie was forced to watch her father die, and now someone is hunting the mother and daughter duo, and our heroine has no idea as to the reason why. When a grade-school project finds Cassie in communication with a wounded Special Forces soldier, Elizabeth is unaware how her life is about to change. Enter Dash Sinclair, Wolf Breed enforcer, and the man with whom Elizabeth will fall in love. What ensues is the building relationship between Elizabeth and Dash, and the potential fall-out as the Breed hierarchy and Dash hunt for the people responsible for the attack on Elizabeth and Cassie’s lives. Like all of Lora Leigh’s BREED books, ELIZABETH’S WOLF is an erotic romance story line with graphic scenes of sexual aggression, and animal like sexual behavior. Lora’s excessive use of a certain four-letter word is troublesome but like many authors Lora’s style will change throughout the series. Dash Sinclair has never found a mate, and is unaware of the animal-like tendencies during mating that may create some problems and difficulties claiming the woman that calls to his heart. Once again, as the series develops, each animal characteristic will become evident as the author offers up the true nature of the beast. The world building continues to focus on the search for a number of the missing Breeds thought to have escaped the government compounds. With each successive instalment there is more background information, and Breed features and characteristics revealed. Cassie, as we will discover, is a special child who talks to spirits, specifically a ‘fairy-like’ apparition that warns and directs Cassie throughout her life. This spirit will become more prominent as the heroine grows, playing an active role in Cassie’ book CROSS BREED. ELIZABETH’S WOLF is an action packed, exciting, and revealing story line that sets-up many of the upcoming instalments. If you are a fan of the paranormal romance, Lora Leigh’s BREED series is worth the price of admission.

Elizabeth's Wolf is a re-issue, re-edited version with a new cover, and it's definitely better IMO. In this book we meet Cassie as a child and the Wolf Breeds and Vanderale are first introduced. Each book is a stand alone story with interconnecting characters. With this book you get Alpha Males, Spit-fire females, steaming, hot sex, Amazing characters and a fast-paced plot that will blow your mind. These books are addictive, I warn you now, that you will go nights without sleep, and go through these books like a fiend! Dash Sinclair, a Major in the Army, Special Forces, is a solitary man with secrets and he has lost the will to live with the devastating loss of his unit. Until a letter arrives from a little girl describing her mama and herself, he can see them in his minds eye, claims them for himself and with this decision he decides to fight to heal. Each week brings a letter from Cassie, strengthening his resolve to get back in fighting shape. Suddenly, the letters stop arriving, he knows somethings wrong and mother and child is in danger. He must get to them. Elizabeth and her daughter, Cassie, are running from a evil, monster that refuses to let them go over a dark secret that will line his pockets further. When Elizabeth has run out of all options to save herself and her child, in walks Dash. She knows he's too good to be true, that she cannot afford to trust him but she needs help more than ever now. To save them Dash knows he will have to claim this woman as his mate and the child as his daughter. But to do so will call his beast from within and the once Lone Wolf will except help from friends and become Elizabeth's Wolf....

I really enjoyed my time reading Elizabeth’s Wolf. There was suspense, lovable characters, not a whole lot of outside drama, and some pretty steamy scenes. I have to say, if you are a fan of shifter books or paranormal romances, then you have got to give this one a go. I’m really glad the book was revised and re-released because it may not have been put on my radar otherwise… and that would have been really sad.

Review: ELIZABETH’S WOLF (A Novel of the Breeds) by Lora Leigh Publication Date: January 2, 2018 Genre: Paranormal Romance Reviewed by: Reading in Pajamas/ Cori Rated 4.5 Stars ELIZABETH’S WOLF has been revised and re-released by Berkley just in time for the release of Cassie’s book in March 2018. Cassie’s story begins in ELIZABETH’S WOLF as a little girl and it tells her mother’s story. The Breed series features Cassie in the storyline and readers have read about her growing up throughout the series. The Breed series is about genetically engineered human/ animals that were raised in labs and it is set in the future. ELIZABETH’S WOLF is one of my favorite books in the series and it was fun to revisit the story and prepare for Cassie’s book, CROSS BREED. If you’re new to this series, the beginning of the series is being re-released so you can start at the beginning. I recommend reading them in order to follow the series storyline, but each book can be read as a standalone. The Breed series is suspenseful, emotional and scorching hot. I highly recommend this series for paranormal lovers. You’ll definitely want to binge read the series. *Review copy provided by Penguin in exchange for an honest review. ~*~*~*~
