Embraced at Seaside by Addison Cole

Sweet with Heat: Seaside Summers features a group of fun, flirty, and emotional friends who gather each summer at their Cape Cod cottages. They're sassy, flawed, and so easy to relate to, you'll be begging to enter their circle of friends!

Embraced at Seaside by Addison Cole is the sweet edition of New York Times bestselling author Melissa Foster's steamy romance novel Seaside Embrace. The stories and characters remain the same, and convey all of the passion you expect between two people in love, without any explicit scenes or harsh language. PLEASE NOTE: This is true "sweet with heat" and Jana and Hunter's story begins with a large dose of steam. It is the steamiest in the series, and remains true to the characters' personalities.

After working hard all day creating his beautiful metal sculptures, Hunter Lacroux likes to unwind with a hot babe–or two. But after spending a handful of nights with smart, sassy, and beautiful Jana Garner, the woman who challenges everything he does and says, Hunter wants more.

As a dancer, boxer, actress, and waitress, Jana is tough, organized, and as dedicated as she is committed. She has to be to maintain her crazy schedule. But when it comes to men, Jana's had a string of bad relationships, and there's only one thing she'll commit to–not committing.

Passion ignites every time Jana and Hunter are together, but the closer Hunter gets, the faster Jana runs. When Hunter lays on the charm, Jana throws out a challenge she's sure he can't meet, and Hunter steps up to the plate, forcing her to face her hurtful past or let go of him forever.

We met Hunter a while back, but now we really get to know him. He's quite a steamy fella. He has the smolder down to an art. I mean seriously, you can feel it seeping off the pages at times. I loved it. Jana's not immune to his smolder, but he's not immune to her either... as much as they both want to be. This is a casual fling that grows into much more. I enjoyed the process of it all. They were definitely in denial, and oh so entertaining. If you haven't started this series yet, you must! The ARC of Embraced at Seaside by Addison Cole was kindly provided to me by the author for review. The opinions are my own.

I was a little unsure at the beginning. Hunter and Jana are little different then the previous books, but I shouldn't have worried. I'm a huge fan of this series and I fell in love with this book as I did the previous books. Hunter and Jana both grow a lot through the book. They both want nothing to do with relationships and just a have a good time. Then something shifts between the two and feelings blossom. It's a great read and reading the journey these two take to get to their HEA is beautiful. One of my favorite things about this book is how Hunter learns how to romance a woman. It's funny and beautiful at the same time. The ending couldn't have been anymore perfect.

Jana and Hunter are opposites in just about every way, except for the fact that they both refuse to commit, and Hunter enjoys his life as a player. But since they got together once neither can get the other out of their head. They've spent the last several months being bed buddies but fighting it every step of the way. Can they move beyond being friends with benefits and actually date? And can they get past their history and their current hurdles to find love? This is a sweet, fun story, set with my favorite Seaside characters. I love watching the Seaside gang grow, change, get married and have babies! This book is part of a series, but definitely can be read as a standalone. That being said, this is an amazing series and I recommend reading the whole thing! I received this book through Beck Valley Books Book Tours, I have volunteered to share my review and all the opinions are 100% my own.

Friends with benefits turns into being so much more with this adorable read. I couldn't help but fall in love with Hunter and Jana's story. Commitment is a word neither one of these two understand and it just makes their relationship better. I definitely had my laugh out loud moments and my aww that's sweet moments like I normally do with the wonderful Addison, and I can't wait for more stories of love by the seaside.

Hunter and Jana are two peas in a pod. They neither want to commit to anything yet they hook up with each other frequently. Then, it dawns on each of them that their hook ups have been exclusive for a while. Hunter is a bit quicker on the uptake than Jana, or he is willing to admit it to himself first, and realizes he wants more. Jana figures her way out of a commitment is to throw down a challenge. Hunter picks up the challenge and, well, he doesn’t see it as that big a deal. Meanwhile, as Jana’s friend, he is helping her work towards a dream of hers by helping her find a location for her own dance studio. Addison Cole writes sweet with heat amazingly. Embraced at Seaside is no exception. The setting, one of my favorites, is Cape Cod. While I am and always will be a mountain girl, the Cape holds some childhood memories and I love reading about it. The characters are like the people I know in my life. I can put myself in the story. You should definitely pick up a copy of Cole’s Embraced at Seaside. You won’t regret it. This series had made me want to pack a bag, grab some friends, jump in the car and head to the coast! Jana is my polar opposite from when I was in high school and college. She has confidence in every area of her life except for the romance department. As fate has it, Hunter shows up and shakes up her previous attitude toward love and romance. Life throws curve balls and she has to give up some of her comfort zone but fate steps in again and she's faced with Hunter. He is a bad boy persona-wise but when you discover that he sculpts, that brings in a new aspect to his personality. Together, it's like they are one big ball of fire and with such strong personalities, you begin to wonder if they could ever truly work. Are Hunter and Jana really meant for each other or do they simply fulfill one another through their strengths? I love the sweetness that Addison writes the romance but through this series, I've discovered how she's woven a deep friendship between the characters. It makes me long for friends that were there from the beginning, through the good and bad moments as well as still keeping to the chunky-dunking tradition! I have volunteered to share my review and all the opinions are 100% my own.

I was sent a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. I was not financially compensated, and all opinions are 100 percent mine. I have truly come to appreciate these "sweet with heat" books by Addison Cole, and I have to say that she has found a happy medium when crafting these romantic tales. She has found a way to take out the bedroom scenes and any bad language while still telling an engaging story that reminds the hopeless romantics in all of us why falling in love is such a cherished and much-sought-after sensation. In this book, the only criticism I have concerns the heroine, Jana. I truly struggled to like her. She seems rather lost at times, and she certainly doesn't treat Hunter with much respect. I suppose she's lying to herself about how she genuinely feels about him and what she wants from this life. I couldn't believe how patient Hunter was with her. That guy is an absolute keeper, in my opinion! I've never been placed in the position of desiring someone just for an ongoing "booty call," but I know it happens. I am grateful that Addison was able to let us peer into the mind and heart of both Hunter and Jana. And at least by the end, I was feeling a bit kinder towards Jana. So while this wasn't my favorite "Seaside" novel, I can still say it was worth the read and probably included more realism than expected. It is definitely a nice addition to the series, and I look forward to continuing the journey with the characters in "Seaside Summers" whenever I can.

This was the story of Hunter and Jana. Hunter is an amazingly talented artist who works with his brother making custom metal sculptures. Hunter has always been a player. He’s never been a one woman kind of guy and he doesn’t do relationships. Then there’s Jana. She was hurt by guys she dated when she was younger and has decided that she’s not cut out for relationships. She likes to live life to the fullest. She loves her job as a dance instructor, she enjoys boxing with her brother, and she misses her time at the theatre and hopes to get back to it someday. With everything going on in her life, the last thing she has time for is men. But for some reason, whenever Jana and all her friends get together, including Hunter, she always ends up going home with Hunter. They start off bickering over just about any topic, but end up tearing up the sheets by the end of the night! Over time, Hunter realizes that Jana is different than anyone else he’s ever known and that his feelings for her are more than just friendship. Jana doesn’t make it easy for him though. She’s so worried about getting in a relationship and having it end badly, that she fights Hunter at every turn. But Hunter doesn’t give up easily. He realizes that what they have is worth fighting for. This was such a great story. The relationships between not only Jana and Hunter, but all their siblings and friends, was sweet, sexy, and a whole lot of sass all rolled into one. I would definitely recommend reading this book. You’ll probably want to read the whole series when you’re done! I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Seaside is the best place for Summer time. Love, beach and lovely friends are all you need for summer and decompress from everyday time. Jana and Hunter have been "friends with benefits" for quite some time, but never wanting to take the next step. Now things are changing and these two commitment phobes must decide whether they should open up to the new world of coupledoom. I love this couple and how they are sassy and absolutely fun in their way of finding love. When one bites the other barks and they are so fun to read! You will love this wonderful book and meet the Seaside gang again!

Let me introduce you to Hunter Lacroux. He is a player who doesn’t want a relationship. Until he hooks up with Jana one too many times and feelings start to change. Then Jana gives him a challenge that he can’t walk away from. I LOVE the romance. I LOVE the sunrises, sunsets, dinners, and everything else that comes with romance. Addison Cole is so talented in writing these romantic, sweet, and a little steamy scenes. Addison Cole is also amazing with her friendships. The Seaside Girls are amazing. They are the best of friends, more like sisters. When push comes to shove these girls will talk about your love life, help you solve the worlds (or Seaside’s) problems, and lift you up when things are tough. These are the type of friends that everyone wants and once you find them you never let go. I am a fan of the Sweet with Heat series. With each book I get introduce to a new story, I get to catch up with my favorites from other books in this series, and I get to fall for a new book crush. This is a series that I look forward to more from, I get excited when I hear a new book is coming soon, and I devour each books as soon as I get my hands on it. Pick up your copy. NOW. Meet these amazing Seaside characters and fall in love with these characters.

4.5 stars Embraced at Seaside by Addison Cole is a sweet, romantic and heartwarming read. Every book in this series has been a joy to read, I've enjoyed getting to know all the characters and they've warmed my heart watching them find their happily ever after. Embraced at Seaside is a beautifully written and heartfelt read. Hunter and Jana were wonderful, likable, passionate and stubborn characters that entertained me with their antics. I loved watching them slowly move from bed buddies to lovers and making time for each other in their very busy lives. These two weren't looking for love but when cupid strikes how can you turn your back to true love? Hunter and Jana were perfect for each other and they left me with a heart full of love. The Sweet with Heat: Seaside Summers series is turning into such a wonderful, memorable and entertaining read. Each book can be read as a standalone and I truly recommend them all!!

* I have volunteered to share my review and all the opinions are 100% my own * This is the story of Hunter Lacroux who normally prefers the casual fling until he spends a few nights with Jana Garner and everything changes. Jana is committed to her work, as a waitress , actress, boxer and dancer, but not so committed to men as she has the worst relationships , so has decided that if a man can do it why can’t she. Jana and Hunter start getting serious fast until they realise that this is fast becoming a relationship, Jana gets a bit scared at one point but Hunter manages to bring it back. They both have to face their past issues if they want their relationship to work. This was another great story by Addison Cole , loved all the characters and it was nice to see where the previous characters had got to as well. Look forward to the next instalment by Addison Cole in the Sweet with Heat Seaside Summers Series.

Jana and Hunter are great hook up buddies, but Jana always seems to be drunk and she sneaks away before Hunter wakes up. Hunter has had enough! And he is ready to make Jana his girlfriend. You know, that word Commitment!! Now he has to convince Jana! Jana is commitment shy after a bad experience with a boyfriend years earlier. She doesn’t do relationships! However, it’s getting harder to resist everything Hunter throws at her in the challenge of romance! Jana thought telling Hunter to romance her would have him running in the opposite direction! Hunter’s best friend is having issues in his marriage. He and Hunter both need to figure out what their women want! But the more Hunter tries, the more Jana falls for him. I loved the previous books in this series, but it seems, every one surpasses the previous! This book has it all! Sexual tension, sweet romance, dreams of the future, laughs, strong friendships and pranks gone wrong. You really can’t go wrong with this book! I was provided with an ARC of this book and I am providing my honest review. I have received no compensation of any kind from any source for this review.

Hunter and Jana is an amazing story that starts as a love-hate relationship and evolves into so much more. Hunter and Jana both have their own insecurities and together they work through the complications in their lives that could potentially destroy their relationship. The family ties run deep throughout this book for both of the characters. Part of the reason that I love this book so much is because of the family connections that the two of them portray throughout the book as they work through their own struggles and help friends with struggles. Right up until the end I loved the different twists and turns in the relationship that really forced Jana and Hunter to talk things out. The way their relationship changed from the beginning of the book to the end warmed my heart. Hunter and Jana are another favorite of mine and I can't wait to read the next book in the series.

EMBRACED AT SEASIDE by Addison Cole. Well, to put it simply, I adored this story! Ms. Cole brings so much to her tales and this one swept me away from page one. Ms. Cole writes depth to her characters and to the story as well. There is humor, love, heartache as well as family and true friends. Jana is so independent, almost to a fault. Yet, underneath she is vulnerable and afraid. Hunter, while he might come across as big and tough, is such a romantic at heart. Their journey made me smile and made me cry - both sad and happy tears. There are many facets to this tale, not just the road to love. As with her many other stories, Ms. Cole includes the cherished friends and family and, that in itself, gives the reader that feel-good feeling. Add in the romance of two very likable characters, and BAM! You've got a read that no one should miss! (received ARC for honest review)

Embraced at Seaside might be the hottest Seaside book yet! Anyone who regularly reads my reviews knows I love Melissa Foster/Addison Cole, but I have to say she really outdid herself this time. You can feel the tension from go with Hunter and Jana. Not just between each other but also within themselves. If you're ready for hot but clean romance, then this is one you won't want to pass you by!!! received as a gift from the author

Hunter and Jana have been hooking up for a pretty long time. Neither wants commitment, or so they think. But when Hunter stops to think about Jana and how he really feels about her, he decides he does want her and sets out to make her believe it. She's afraid but she does trust him. The chemistry between them is incredible and the love and loyalty they share with their friends and family is genuine. You won't want to put this done till you reach the end! I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.

Typically, I find myself madly in love with the characters in this fantastic series by Addison Cole. This time around, I truly liked the characters and their story, but didn’t fall head over heels as I normally do. Let me explain why. Hunter was amazing and actually, I did love everything about him. Jana is the one I struggled with for some reason. Past hurt from relationships sparked Jana’s fear of relationships, but honestly, I found myself frustrated with her character. I understand that there is always some sort of conflict in a romance novel, but I just wanted to smack her several times because despite how fabulous Hunter was, she continued behaving rather selfishly. Jana did soften at times that made me warm up to her more, but overall I just didn’t connect to her the way I usually do with Addison Cole’s characters. With that being said, I still loved this story and this is still one of the most incredible series I’ve ever had the pleasure of getting addicted to. Once again, Addison Cole has driven home the importance of friends, family, and following our dreams – no matter what those dreams are. All of the ladies depicted in this series remind the reader of how strong the bonds of friendship are, and how sometimes those friends become our own chosen family. Moreover, I have come to the conclusion that all men should be required to read her novels because the guys in her books know how to romance a woman!

Sweet romance continuing with the group of friends in Seaside. Jana and Hunter are both afraid of commitment. However, they have been hooking up for months exclusively without thinking about it and what that could mean. Suddenly what was a fun hookup turns into so much more. Jana’s character was sometimes annoying, but I know it was part of her character. The rest of the usual crew show up as well, making it a lot of fun to read. Definitely looking forward to more in this series!

I love returning to the Seaside Gang. Jana is a strong woman. Hunter is as sexy as heck. They were secretly hooking up for 6 months. They were actually committed to each other, however, neither one knew it. Melissa NEVER disappoints, Embraced at Seaside is such a sweet story. I highly recommend it. This book has a HEA with no cliffhangers.

Hunter Lacroux and Jana Garner have intense chemistry. They hooked up a few times but neither has spoken about it. But as they continue to be with each other Hunter wants more. He wants to date Jana. But does Jana want a relationship? They are both independent and headstrong people. Their paths seem to cross frequently as they share a circle of friends. Jana is plotting the course of her life with help from her friends at Seaside. Hunter is so supportive but something is holding Jana back. Addison Cole tells this delightful story that exudes passion without being graphic. Follow Jana and Hunter as they discover their true feelings. I loved Embraced at Seaside.
Lashea677 10 days ago
Fear is the driving factor in Hunter and Jana's relationship. Behind closed doors, their attraction takes free reign, but in the real world the risk seems too great of a cost. Past hurts have made prickly, independent Jana afraid to trust her instincts. Hunter is both the best and worst of her fears brought to life. He's rough around the edges, but brings beauty into her once dark and lonely world. He also forces her to face some hard truths about herself. Her heart yearns for a soft place to land and Hunter is the cushion intent on breaking the fall. Embraced at Seaside is a multi-faceted, flawed, courageous and steamy quest into the abyss of love.
