5 Star review of Embracing Her Heart (The Bradens & Montgomerys (Pleasant Hill - Oak Falls) #1) by Melissa Foster Having read several books by Melissa Foster I jumped at the chance to read this one and I was in no way disappointed When Grace Montgomery returns home she is suddenly made to realise just how easy it was for her to remove herself from her sisters drama filled lives when she was living in New York. Not only do they draw her in, but she comes face to face with the one man she hoped never to see again, Reed Cross. Reed too has returned home and crosses paths with the woman he was once in love with, his first love Grace, a woman he has never truly forgotten. What happens, when Reed wants to re connect and Grace is bound and determined not too? Who will win this battle? When circumstances finally bring these two together, their obvious chemistry and passion cannot be denied, however at what cost? Will Grace be prepared to give love with Reed another chance? Grace is a strong and independent woman who certainly gave as good as she got, I really liked her. Her family was hilarious and I cannot wait to read more about them in coming releases. This is a well written story that tugged at the heart strings and is a second chance at love story; full of hopes and dreams and one that I recommend.

EEEEK It's here!!! And Holy smokes what a read :-) I was so excited for this new series from Melissa Foster and she did not disappoint! I love 2nd chance romance books there's just something about them that tugs on those heartstrings, Add in it being a small town romance and you have one heck of a read. Reed and Grace were together in their teenage years and now 10yrs later things are hotting up!! Coming back home for a visit from New York Grace bumps into Reed who is also back home to take are of his Uncle's business, Grace thought for sure she was over him, but one look and all those feelings come flying back to her. Can she get over her anger to forgive and move on? That's the question!! The same goes for Reed when he accidentally comes across Grace, his old feelings came back like a tsunami slamming into him. The chemistry between these two characters is awesome and definitely can't be ignored it has plenty of heat, heartbreaking-love, family values and traditions and everything else we have come to expect from a Melissa Foster romance!! Snuggle up with this New Series from this amazing Author and get lost in the Braden Montgomery World set in Pleasant Hill - Oak Falls it will feel lie you have gone on this amazing journey with Grace and Reed!! What are you waiting for?? #OneClickNow #NotToBeMissedRead

Ms. Foster has done it again. I love second chance romance but lately they have all seemed too alike. Ms. Foster has reminded me once again why I love a great second chance romance and why hers are the best. I couldn't help but root for Grace and Reed for the very start. Reed is the perfect book boyfriend we all want and so does Grace, even if she doesn't want to admit it. Grace needs a nudge to allow herself to give in to her heart but once she does she doesn't look back. The world building these series has always blown me away and now I'm even more excited to see what will happen when the Braden's and Montgomery's come together.

Second chance of love is even better First love will always had a big part in our hearts but with second chance happened, it is even better. This book will capture not only your heart but will make you laugh out loud, enjoy those times with your family and most of all fall in-love with Reed and Grace. Reed will make you swoon not only with his looks but with his sweet gestures. I hope this guy is for real. Any woman will want him. Both Reed and Grace have the passion not only for each other but their hearts are beautiful and loves to give back to the their community. This book is so sweet and at the same time it is hotness overload. I really enjoyed reading this book. I cannot wait to read more of Ms. Melissa Forster's incoming books.

I love a sorry where lovers who part ways come together again after years. That’s exactly what happens in this great love story. It’s no secret that I’m a huge fan of Melissa Foster. She just can’t do me wrong. I’ve never been disappointed in any of her books. Which is big for me since she is the first of only two authors that I can say that about. If you are like me and like love stories with second chances, this is a great book for you. In this book we meet Grace and Reed. Grace was Reed’s first love seeing her again brings back memories and feelings he thought were gone. Will they get back together and ignite the fire that once blazed? Or will they part on their own ways never to see each other again? You’ll have to read this book to find out. One thing I will tell you is that you will not be dissapointed.

Grace (Gracie) was a small town girl, who is now a well known New York playwright, staying busy and rarely returning home. Now home to help with a screenwriting class, Gracie is hit with memories and confliction with who she really is. Throughout Reed's life, he has been through the emotional wringer; his father abandons him, his first love leaves their hometown, and his near fiance cheats on him with his business partner. Returning home to care for his uncle and take up his business, Reed can't help but feel his connection to his roots. Grace and Reed went to opposing high schools, at a time when rivalries were a big deal, so they kept their relationship a secret. With big dreams of leaving her small town, Grace left her home and Reed but "the heart never forgets a first love". From the moment of their reconnection, their connection is undeniable! Whenever you start a Melissa Foster tale, you'll hate any moment you have to put your book down to return to your own life. Another favourite couple added to my Foster list. *An advance copy of this book was provided to me for review purposes only, at my request, all opinions expressed are my own*

Another amazing Melissa Foster book just came out and if you haven’t read any of her books you are missing out but that’s okay you can start with Embracing her heart and I’ll guarantee you will be hooked. Melissa just is an amazing writer and comes up with awesome storylines. You will love her! Grace and Reed’s story is so frustrating. High school lovers that had to hide their relationship because they went to rival schools is just sad! Grace is this popular cheerleader who loves producing plays and goes off to study theatre. She doesn’t date and buried herself in work. She barely ever goes back to her small home town and tries to forget most of it. She eventually heads back for a family visit and it changes her life. Reed is a small town boy who was a football player for a rival team. He fell in love but he knew she had to go fulfill her dreams no matter how bad it broke his heart. Then he is back helping his family and she returns. He is convinced it’s his second chance to show her they belong together. I just love the story and the sweet love they shared since high school. True love never ends no matter what happens and if it’s meant to be it will be. I can’t wait for the next book in this series to come out and see which sister will find true love next! I definitely recommend this book and this author! Melissa never disappoints and your bound to find a book you will love! Embrace her heart was awesome and a great romance book so check it out today!

Being a southern lady myself, I instantly connected with Grace Montgomery. She's full of sass with big city flair. Oak Falls reminds me a lot of my hometown where I'm sure the drama is never-ending. At first, I was a bit annoyed with Grace but it didn't take long for her small town mannerism to return; well, that is until she stumbles upon Reed Cross again. He's a man who if anyone else, would fall down a dark hole from all the pain he's experienced. But goodness, this man is (for lack of a better word...) AMAZING! He maintains a positive attitude, is headstrong, and displays such an incredible about of integrity -- especially in regards to those he loves the most.  Every character in this book has captured a special place in my heart. They easily feel like they could become my parents, my best friend, neighbors, community members, etc. I must be naive to believe that this could become a reality for a small town like mine; however, Melissa gives me hope with this beautiful stories. This is definitely a 5-star book that I'll be reading again and again.   I have volunteered to share my review and all the opinions are 100% my own.

Well, Melissa Foster never ceases to amaze me with her wonderful, heartfelt, romantic books!! Embracing Her Heart is all about second chances in life with your first love! I'm from the south so there's nothing better than to read books based on Southern girls with horses, rodeos, and small town life! You just can't beat it! After being worlds apart for years Grace and Reed finally come together again! Will they get their second chance at love or are old wounds never going to die? Can't wait to read the rest of the series! I can never put down her books!!

Embracing Her Heart is a nice read for the Montgomery sisters. The connection and chemistry between the main characters is very strong and noticeable. Grace is a very independent, strong, and determined woman. She sought after her dreams and achieved them. The career she always wanted is hers. It's what Grace thought she always wanted. Her family is very close and loving. I loved the different personalities of her sisters. Reed loves his aunt and uncle. He would do anything for them, including moving back to his hometown to help his uncle's business. Reed is hard working and fun loving. He seems like a great book boyfriend. Reed has always been in love with Grace. Time apart couldn't change that. After years of pain and heartbreak, their connection is still strong. I kept hoping that distance wouldn't keep them apart. I received this book as an Advance Reader's Copy. I volunteered to leave my review. All opinions are my own.

I love second chance romances. Embracing Her Heart is the perfect example of why I love them. Grace and Reed were girlfriend/boyfriend in high school, although their relationship was kept a secret due to them going to rival schools. They parted not because they didn’t love each other but because the loved each other so much that they let each other go to find their own ways. Grace had dreams of going to the big city and directing, writing, and producing screen plays. Reed swore to never leave Oak Falls but ended up fleeing to Michigan to hide from his memories of Grace. Both characters followed their dreams, found their ways, and are living successful lives doing what they love. Fast forward 10 years… both Grace and Reed are back in Oak Falls and of course are not able to steer clear of each other. They also are not able to deny the sparks that are still sizzling between them. I love that Reed is the one that is not willing to let Grace hide from her feelings. He pushes her to talk about how she feels and what she wants. He also is the romantic one. He relives some memories, makes some that they couldn’t do together in high school, and helps makes so many new ones. He is definitely one romantic soul who proves that he will do anything to keep his Gracie happy and in his life. This is the first book in the Pleasant Hill-Oak Falls series. The Montgomery Family is featured in the story and I cannot wait for more from them. I love that the Braden Family is mentioned and know that they will be more prominent in future books in this series.

I've read a handful of Melissa Foster's books in the past and was thrilled to receive a free copy of this eBook in return for an honest review. I have volunteered to share my review and all opinions are 100% my own. Grace Montgomery left everything behind to pursue her dream, and no-one was going to hold her back, not her family, not her home town and certainly not her high school sweetheart Reed - who swore he would never leave Oak Falls. Beautifully creative, ambitious and intelligent Grace achieves everything she ever wanted; except one thing. True passionate love. A promise to her sister brings her home where Grace realises that her life may be in New York City but her heart is in Oak Falls. Reed Cross is jaw droppingly gorgeous. After Grace left him behind Reed had no choice but to flee Oak Falls and the memories of the love he lost. He becomes a leading historical preservation experts but deception and his beloved Uncle's poor health bring him back to his home town. A chance meeting throws our former lovers back together but years of unfulfilled desire and white hot chemistry lead them to wonders of what could have been then but most importantly, what could be now. Embracing Her Heart is a second chance love story, that made me happy to read. Although it is erotica this book feels wholesome, it is not just about sex and romantic love between our two main characters. Family is a key theme throughout this book, from the doting Aunt and Uncle who raised Reed as their own after his mother passed and his father failed to care for him, to Grace worried about being driven mad by her annoying sisters find that they enrich her life by pushing her to do more of what she loves. One of my favourite scenes is where Grace rushes home to her mother as a revelation leaves her frightened that she has led her parents to think she is embarrassed by them. The reaction from Grace's mum is beautiful as is the relationship between mother and all her daughters. Foster uses her superb descriptive skills to sculpt characters who are stunningly beautiful yet relatable. A perfect mix of fantasy and reality. As always she writes sex that is hot, believable and adventurous without being vulgar or cringe worthy. I really don't want to discuss the plot too much as I hate spoilers and I don't want to risk ruining the book for you. What I will say is that I definitely recommend this book, it's a great read and I found it highly entertaining. I've read some reviews that say they would have preferred more conflict in this story however, with so much conflict in the world sometimes you just want to read a good romance that transports you to the beautiful South, has characters you care about and gets you a little hot under the collar!

Another amazing offering from Melissa Foster, this time bringing her new group of books to combine the Braden's and Montgomerys. Gracie and Reed was high school sweethearts but nobody knew as they went to opposing High Schools. Now they have found each other, but can they defeat all the obstacles to keep each other.

Grace is an insanely busy with her career in New York, and she has spent her life running from her small hometown and the memories in it. She takes a break to spend time with family and teach a screenwriting class in her hometown. Reed has come home after years of nursing a broken heart, and is shocked to find Grace standing in front of him after all these years. They quickly fall back into old routines, but their relationship was so broken that it can never be repaired, can it? They only have a few weeks together, so they agree to make the best of it and not worry about the future. But with Reed's life and future in Oak Falls and Grace's in New York, can they make things last beyond a short time? I have volunteered to share my review and all the opinions are 100% my own.

Another classic Melissa Foster story that’s a hot, small town Romance that creates a world you love to get wrapped up in! This is a second chance romance that will make you laugh and swoon. Grace is a strong independent woman who left Oak Falls and Reed to chance her dreams and get OUT of Oak Falls. She was destined for things outside Oak Falls and she was making it happen. And Reed. Oh just like every other Melissa Foster hero, he’s perfect. He’s hot and sweet and he knows that his Gracie is back and he’s going to get her. I love the Montgomery sisters and their craziness! Another Melissa Foster series I’d be sucked into if I wasn’t already devouring everything she’s ever written!

A second chance romance with a first love! Embracing Her Heart is the first book in the The Bradens and Montgomerys (Pleasant Hill - Oak Falls) series. This book drew me in from the very beginning. It is a story full of romance, humor, and definitely some steamy heat. A well-written story with a plot that moves at a steady pace with a fresh, new story line that is easy to read. It is captivating and kept my attention to the very end. This is a story that will make you smile and laugh. Definitely a book that gives you all sorts of emotions. The characters are well developed and easy to like. This author knows how to create a story with enough romance and action to keep the reader entertained and interested. The characters in this series have become like my own friends and family. I can’t wait to read more in this series to see what happens with the rest of the characters. Melissa does a great job of intertwining the characters from each book into the rest of them. You get a new story with a little more of the future of the characters you have read about previously. I have said this before but Melissa never fails to keep her books interesting, entertaining and captivating. They always make me want to go find another book of hers to read. The stories just get better and better. Embracing Her Heart is another book from a very gifted author that I had the pleasure to read. Melissa Foster is a very talented author that tells remarkable stories that captivate you and will have you not wanting to put the book down. I have not been disappointed yet! Definitely, an author that you will want to keep on your go-to list. If you enjoy reading a romance that is entertaining and full of humor, then you will thoroughly enjoy this book and series. This series will leave you wanting to read more!

Grace once left her hometown and Reed Cross behind several years ago. When she returns for a couple weeks. She's made it big in New York and didn't think she'd return, let alone see her secret high school boyfriend/lover/first love, again. Reed has come back to Oak Falls to take over his uncle Roys Business. He was working on a porch for nonother than the Montgomery's. Who happens to be the family of his first love, Grace. They meet again and rekindle their past love, but will they both stay and live together or run away when things get rough? These two characters really complement each other. They are so sweet to each other. I loved how they went after their dreams and a few years later they get a chance to be a real public couple. I loved Graces personality and her determination. She goes for what she wants and won't let anyone get in her way. Reed is such a lovely character and I loved seeing him grow and take on his past. I would love to read a continuation and hopefully get to see a family down the line for these characters!

Grace is a well-developed character with a lot of depth, one that I could tell Melissa Foster took her time with, allowing her to realize all the ways that she has changed over the years and allowing her to figure out what to do with her revelations about herself. She is creative, driven, caring, but has also become a little burned out from her fast-paced world in New York theaters. Reed was just – yum! He is smart, sexy, adorable, romantic, and polite. However, combined with all of his many perfections, he is struggling with demons of his own regarding his natural father that left him with his aunt and uncle as a child. Embracing Her Heart has numerous secondary characters that are fabulous, especially Nana, whom we have met in other novels. Also, Grace has a ton of siblings (too many to list) and they are wonderfully unique in their own ways. Also, very close to my heart are the wonderful service dogs in the story that are trained by Grace’s mom. It was such a sweet surprise how much these dogs and what they represent were relevant in the story. Fans of Melissa Foster will fall in love with this new novel and new series, and for some reason, if you haven’t already become addicted to her novels, this is the time to jump in. Embracing Her Heart is an outstanding novel encompassing romance, love, family, and the bonds within small town communities. There are several hilarious moments regarding nighttime traditions among Grace and her siblings, there are sexy moments, and suspenseful moments.

Embracing Her Heart might be my favorite book in the Braden-Montgomery series. I have always liked the area in Virgina where the Montgomery books are set. It reminds me of areas I would drive through when I lived in upstate NY and would head south for a road race. Grace may be one of my favorite characters. She knew she didn't want to stick around in the small town she was raised in. I remember that feeling. I took off for a two year school as quickly as I could. And, when transferring to a four year school, picked the one furthest away. I was never going back, until I did. Grace is like that. Add to this Reed. His memories of the small area he grew up in all went around Grace. He didn't think he could live with that so went north to Michigan and probably would have never come back if he hadn't found his business partner in a compromising situation. What happens when the two of them come together is what makes this book fantastic! You need to pick up a copy of Embracing Her Heart and give it a read. I have volunteered to share my review and all the opinions are 100% my own.

Sexy, sweet and downright delicious! With the kick off to a new spin-off series, Melissa Foster uses her signature witty and humorous voice to introduce the Montgomery clan and all of their sass to us! In this first book in the series, we get to go along for the ride as Grace hooks back up with her first love ... and starts a whirlwind romance that takes their breath away! The characters are endearing and explosively HOT ... and the supporting cast is super fun to get to know. I loved it! Grace Montgomery never expected a short trip home to Oak Falls, Virginia to put her face to face with her one true love again after all these years. She's been making all of her dreams come true in New York City since she left town after high school, but when her little sister asks for her help with a project, she figures she could use the break from the rat race anyway and hightails it home. She can't let the fact that the only man she's ever loved is standing in front of her again derail her future ... she's heading back to NYC in a matter of weeks! Reed Cross thought he would never leave Oak Falls, but losing Grace made everything different and he wound up setting up a successful business in Michigan over the years. Things unexpectedly fell apart in the span of a heartbeat when he caught his girlfriend in bed with his business partner and then learned that his Uncle Roy had just suffered a heart attack, so he cut ties and headed home to help his family and start anew. He didn't expect seeing Grace after all of these years to pack such a wallop. She might deny it and try to keep him at arms length, but it's obvious the second their eyes meet that those old feelings haven't died ... for either of them!

Ah, how I adored this second chance love story from bestselling author Melissa Foster! Embracing Her Heart is the first novel in her all-new Pleasant Hill - Oak Falls series, a collection of stories about the Braden and Montgomery families and falls under the author's Love in Bloom umbrella series. Introduced in the fourth and final book Bad Boys After Dark quartet as the best friend of the newly married Sophie Bad, Grace Montgomery gets her own story told in this new series starter, and she shares it with Reed Cross, her first love and the boy she had a secret relationship with in high school. He also happened to be the boy that broke her heart after their graduation. She went off to New York and he headed to Michigan, their lives no longer entwined. Years later, Grace is back home in Oak Falls, Virginia temporarily. She's surrounded by her family and her roots, and as much as she's made an effort to become more of a city girl, her past is alive and well in Oak Falls, including Reed. While he may have let her go once, Reed doesn't intend to do it again. Will Grace stay or will she still go? At first glance, the author's Love in Bloom series may seem rather daunting because of how many series fall under it. While each series is interconnected in one form or another and there are characters that crossover and have cameo appearances, a new reader to this new Pleasant Hill - Oak Falls series will be more than able to navigate their way through the love story between Reed and Grace as well as the influx of supporting characters. There's some drama that goes on because, let's face it, second chance love stories have drama to a certain degree. Grace was already a notable supporting character in Brett, and she truly was a worthy main character here. She had a strong personality and I liked seeing her trying to come to terms to the fact that she could find some middle ground between being the woman who found success in the city and the girl whose roots were firmly in the country. Then there was Reed who was such a sweet and amazing guy--someone who loved Grace, his family, and his legacy. Embracing Her Heart was a five-star beginning and I can't wait for more! ♥

Embracing Her Heart is Melissa Foster’s newest sweet and sexy romance. It is the story of Grace and Reed. They were in love with each other when they were younger, but Grace left Oak Falls, Virginia to pursue her dreams in NYC. She left Reed heartbroken, and he ended up leaving as well. Now years later, both have returned to their hometown. Grace has come home for several weeks to teach a playwriting class to help boost her sister’s bookstore. Reed is home to help run his uncle’s business after losing his ex to his now ex business partner. Grace never forgot Reed even though she was the one to walk away. She tricks herself into believing she is over him. When she sees him again one night, all those old feelings come rushing back. She is determined that he will not have any affect on her whatsoever. Yeah, that is easier said than done when Reed is involved. She is so strong, independent, and determined, but not where Reed is concerned. Inside, she is sweet and loving, and Reed becomes determined to rediscover and get to know “his Gracie” again. These two have amazing chemistry! I could easily feel the connection they shared, and I wanted them to rekindle that love. However, there were a lot of things these two had to work through as a couple. In addition, Reed has his own issues about his past, and when someone from his mother’s past shows up out of the blue, he will finally have to face them head on. As with all of Foster’s books, she creates a memorable and complex group of secondary characters that tug at my heart and pull me even further into her books. I loved the relationship Grace has with her sisters, and I was so glad to find out that each of these amazing women will be getting their own book. One of my favorite things about Foster’s books is that characters from previous ones always show up in current ones. I always feel like I’m catching up with old friends. As usual, I’ll be awaiting the next one!!!! ***Read and Reviewed by Devilishly Delicious Book Reviews***
