The newest installment in the Mafia-themed contemporary romance series the Eagle Elite by New York Times bestselling author Rachel Van Dyken.

There are two sides to every story, and theirs isn't pretty, but then again, what's pretty about the Mafia? Trace Rooks, that's what. But she only wants one of them, and he'll kill the other before he lets him have her.

The only problem is that they're cousins-and she may just be their long-lost enemy. Whoever said college was hard clearly didn't attend Eagle Elite University. Welcome to hell, also known as the Mafia, where blood is thicker than life, and to keep yours, you must keep your friends close-and your enemies even closer.

Why am I so addicted to this series!? Enforce is why. Reading this book re-broke my heart. I forgot about the torture that was unleashed on Trace has she navigated her way through her first few days/weeks of school. Most of it at the hands of Nixon. Though you completely understand why in Elite/Elect, to see it from his side now is amazing. Throw in Chase's POV regarding their love triangle, and you have one hell of a book! It's a good thing I already read Entice or I'd feel sorry for Chase. Ember is up next in February and I for one, am SO Excited! Pheonix has a side that I don't believe Rachel has completely tapped into yet. So, grab your e-reader, a box of tissues, (maybe your favorite handgun), and hold on tight! The Elite series is one hell of a ride!!

The storyline is ridiculous...a teen fantasy of young criminal mobsters running and being students at a school. The characters are unlikeable, juvenile, and lacking emotional intelligence. Lots of teen angst, melodrama and immaturity not to mention bullying, sexual assault, and subjecting teen girls to the ego of the young men in power... go for it if you are into that. On a positive note, it is a full length book, free, and edited well enough to make it easy to read.

When I grabbed this I didn't realize it was a series or in the middle of it. The writing is good but I was lost for most of the book. You can't jump into this without the others and not be lost. I still don't understand how the guys didn't recognize Frank in the beginning. Maybe too much time had passed? I would have done less stars but it's my own fault for not seeing it was not a standalone.

Fantastic story line!! Great character's! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because there are a lot of grammar mistakes. Other than that it's an amazing story!!!

I love Rachel, it seems she can do not wrong. I have to say, that I hated Nixon at first, and could not understand why Trace would pick him over Chase. Chase, was sweeter to her, he bought her boots, when she was humiliated, and yet it was Nixon who she wanted, I guess you can't help who you fall in love with. I started understanding why he did what he did, after i cursed him out. Then Phoenix, what a let down. Loved Mo, and Tex, and can't wait to see how they go with there relationship.

This was excellent. Even though I know the story as told before, all the thoughts and details from the guys thoughts and conversations really show there is always more to the story then each person's part. So many undercurrents and background actions that show what the Elect guys were dealing with makes me care all the more for them. I For readers who have not read the previous books this does give you a whole story, so it could have been the original book of the series, but I recommend reading them all so you can spend as much time as possible in their world.

I loved the first book in this series, Elite by Rachel Van Dyken, that once I saw Enforce the male retelling of the story was live I one clicked it immediately. I’ve already given Elite a five star rating and have actually read it twice. I was hopeful that enough time had passed that I wouldn’t find the story in Enforce too repetitive. I don’t have a great rating history with the male re-telling, but at the same time when I see one come available for a story I loved I can’t pass them up. Overall Rating: 4-4.5 Stars – Kept telling myself “just one more chapter.” Right from the beginning, I knew Enforce was going to be hard for me to read. I found myself continuously wanting to skip ahead to read my favorite parts that I remembered from book 1, Elite. But there were also a lot of unanswered questions from Elite that I wanted answers to so I made sure and read every line without skimming. I wasn’t disappointed, we did receive answers to so many questions I had from book one. While Enforce is a retelling of the first book in this series, I found it did have a ton of new information as well. There was lots of behind the scenes stuff, but also the important scenes as well. I never questioned how much Nixon loved Trace, but it was so good to see it from his side of things as well. I loved seeing his confusion over loving the new girl. But we also get to see more of Chase’s feelings which put his actions in book 2, Elect in a new light for me. I think it made it easier for me to forgive him for some of the things he did in that second book. I might be able to read his book, Entice now without wanting to bash him with my Kindle. Enforce gives us points of view from Nixon, Chase, and Phoenix. At first I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about getting Phoenix’s point of view, but I found myself really interested in his view of certain scenes. I know he has his own book in this series and I just don’t know how the author will redeem him. Once again I really liked the story and I enjoyed getting the guys’ side of things for events that were only available through Trace’s eyes earlier. There was a lot of mystery and unanswered questions when we had Trace’s point of view and I am so glad that most of that was cleared up. I found myself wrapped up in the characters all over again, but the continued inconsistencies took ended up taking away from the story. It’s another example of the necessity of Beta Readers. All of the issues I found were things that would/should have been pointed out by beta readers during edits. And if they weren’t then the only thing I can suggest is to find some new Betas. Sometimes, it’s hard to point out issues in a story you know an author has toiled hard on, but it must be done. Sure, I know I’ve had some difficult conversations with authors when I beta read, but that’s the job of a beta, to help the author publish the best book possible. It’s disappointing to know that these simply overlooked things made the story less enjoyable for me as a reader and ultimately brought my rating down. Okay, I’ll get off my Beta reader soap box, I know you’ve heard it all before and I still highly recommend this book. If you like a good mafia read, which you know I do, then this series is one you should check out. Start with book one, Elite and then make your way to Enforce before the rest of the series.

I am such a huge Rachel Van Dyken fan and the Eagle Elite series is one of my favorites.  I have just fallen in love with Nixon, Chase, and Tex, and I really enjoyed getting inside Phoenix' head in this novel.  I can't tell you how much I enjoyed getting to read things from the guys' perspective as their side of the story was revealed.  Rachel Van Dyken did an excellent job of presenting the story from their point of view, while making it also very unique so you didn't feel at all like you were hearing the same thing you read in Elite.  Enforce is very original, and I absolutely loved it and was totally captivated by this very interesting characters from beginning to end.  I can assure you that after reading this series, especially this installment, you will have a whole new appreciation for hot bad boys, especially the mafia kind.  Check it out.  I hope you love it as much as I did.

one girl can start a war... The idea of hearing the same story from different perspectives has always been either just tolerable or unbearable until now.... Rachel has done it again and the mafia boys keep your heart racing in this retelling of Elect. 5 stars all the way!!! But i am learning with Rachel it is never anything less....

I absolutely love the Eagle Elite series. Love. I also love Rachel Van Dyken. Her writing is brilliant, witty, emotional and funny. She's one of my go to authors where I just read everything she writes. Period. This series is one of my favorites. Ever. So when I heard she was writing Elite from Nixon and Chase's point of view I may or may not have done a little dance. I had a hard time putting this book down. There's nothing better than getting inside the minds of some of your favorite characters and these guys have so much going on! If you're thinking this is just a repeat of Elite so why read it? Stop! This is like reading a whole new book. I literally highlighted half of the book while reading! Nixon is surprisingly mushy on the inside. Chase is loving, sensitive and sweet. Tex is funnier, smart as hell and still owns my heart. Phoenix is tortured, broken and filled with despair. I feel like I know so much more about them and this story that it all felt new to me. I cried, I laughed, I smiled. I felt the emotional pain for these men and I just wanted to reach in and give them all hugs and tell them it was all going to be ok. I love her...I hate myself, but I love her. - Tex. Hell was coming for me, but wouldn't it be so nice to take a ride with her on the way there? - Nixon Nixon cursed me in two different languages before mumbling the number "ten" under his breath. I damn-near clapped. Look who wasn't a liar pants. The most dishonest out of all of us. Well done. Well bloody done. See, apparently I spoke British slang too - I'm freaking amazing. - Chase "Got you all twisted up on the inside, doesn't she?" Tex said. "No". Yes. "Cute. You finally fell. Too bad she isn't yours." "She isn't his," I snapped "Not yet," Tex corrected. "Not yet." "Whatever. We have no friends." "We have each other," I said softly. "It's just us, Chase. Remember that." "I do." Chase sighed. "When things get hard I do." "The problem in this scenario will never be you. Mo Abandanato is always the solution, never the problem." - Tex. "Yesterday I saw a girl wearing a Team Nixon shirt...you've been hashtagged, brother." "Are you trying to make me feel better?" "Team Chase, way better, those Chasers are hot. Seriously, I tend to draw the exotic…I don’t discriminate."

Wow, whatever can I say about Rachel Van Dyken's Enforce? It is Elite from the boys POV - but that just doesn't do it justice. Because if that was all it was, you would think you would know everything that was going to happen and you wouldn't be held captivated the entire book, yet that is exactly what occurs. From the moment I heard that she was going to tackle this book I was on pins and needles. We would finally learn what was REALLY going on at Eagle Elite when this whole saga began. As the series has continued and we have gotten to know each of the players better it has made me wonder even more why they did certain things in Elite, what was going through their minds, what was the background that Trace didn’t know. Enforce answers ALL of those questions.  I appreciated all of the Mafia background that we were able to see in Enforce that we missed in Elite. Things that we learn in later books in the series that we now see for the ‘first time’ here. It was very well done. Right from the very beginning when you read what the book is about, you see how deeply Chase and Nixon feel for Trace and how they will be pitted against each other. Of course if you have already read Elite and Elect this is no surprise! But reading it here in Enforce as their feelings developed, as they realize who Trace is and what she means to their Family, their future, their friendship, their lives ¬– it tears at your heart.  But for me (and without giving too much away) one of the my favorite things about this book, the thing that I think helps set Rachel Van Dyken apart from other writers is her skill at making you see a character in a different light. She does that here with Phoenix. And that she was able to do that with Phoenix in THIS book was just pure genius for me and brought me to tears and gave me chills. I cannot recommend this book highly enough. If you are a fan of this series TBR it NOW! Go to Rachel’s Author Page every day to get the teaser’s she is posting – you won’t regret it! Soak up every single piece of this book you can get! And then grab it when it comes out and tell everyone to leave you alone! I received a complimentary copy, in exchange for an honest review.
