*May this book find the person it needs to. May they find every word they were looking for.*
**I know you don’t want to talk sometimes. Sometimes because it hurts and sometimes because you’re just not supposed to talk about what you want to talk about. Sometimes it can be hard to say, “this is beautiful,” when no one else can see what you see. Or, “Here, this is where the pain is.” But some part of you knows, the truth about the words you cannot say is that they only hurt until you say them. They only hurt until the person who needs to hear them, hears them. Because we are human, and the closest we’ve ever come to showing each other who we really are, and how we love, is with words. So I’m going to try to say to you here, what I wish you’d say to me too. Please.
Listen. We can change things.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher I was able to read this book in exchange for an honest review. *** “May this book find the person it needs to. May they find every word they were looking for.* This collection of poetry is beautiful and peaceful. Iain S. Thomas’ latest work reads like he is addressing you and only you, that this work was meant for you, to get into your hands and find a connection with you. I think this may be my favorite of his work or it could be I’m writing this review immediately after finishing reading it without letting it sink in for awhile like I usually do. Who knows, but I know it was amazing and it’s exactly what I needed to read and hear right now.
I have been a fan of Iain Thomas for a very long time now and each and every new book is amazingly written and impactful. I think this is one of those books that really helps you not feel alone. Although I think that's one of the things that Iain does best throughout his works, and it's why i will continue to support everything he comes out with. Thank you Iain for always making me feel less alone.
This is the third poetry book of Iain S. Thomas that I have read and because I believe that I already knew how this author writes, I could easily conclude that there's almost no difference between this and his previously published books. Also, I found a lot of poems in this collection that is quite repetitive and sorry for being harsh, but I think that the author wastes a lot of page because of those one-liners, e.g. "How." Those who are a fan of Iain S. Thomas or those who follow his works, they will love this new book of his. But as for those who are not, I suggest that you should skip this one and try to check out other poetry books.
Reading Every Word You Cannot Say* is an investment in yourself. Iain’s melodic voice penetrates every word, accompanying you as you become increasingly at peace with your truths. You can turn to this book at any stage of your life, and find something new each time. This is a highly recommended read. SJ Herrera
