Insightful... Unique... and not surprisingly, Enlightened. What began as a simple Sunday read turned into an inspirational reading experience. A disarmingly calm book which packs a great punch if you examine it and apply it to your everyday life. Topics covered range from happiness and compassion to how to treat the environment. The book covers a broad spectrum while suggesting small fundamental changes we can easily make to become 'enlightented'. Will be passing this along to my family members to read.

FRESH SUMMER READING! My mom gave me this book for graduation. This book puts a unique spin on the self-help genre. It brings up subtle ways we can change our outlooks to be more positive. The gentle tone of the writing never feels bossy or like it is condemning you, which I really enjoyed. I think this is one book I will be coming back to for a while.

A refreshing read. Doesn't read 'preachy' as many books in this genre do. Filled with insightful thoughts and beliefs -- I read it once and found myself rereading it straight away. Would recommend.

Just finished this book and wanted to review it fresh in my mind. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and highly recommend it to everyone. It is written in very relatable terms, with a tone that feels helpful, without feeling forceful. This book is not a simple 'to do' list, but rather, a gentle suggestion at alternative ways to view every day life situations. I plan to pass this book along to my daughter (in her 20s), to see how it holds up.

I was given this book by a friend as a gift. I was truly surprised by this book and its outlook on life. It uses humor and a lot of allusions to show the reader alternative ways to look at everyday situations. I found it easy to read and did not feel like I was sitting in a lecture, which so many of these types of books feel like. Highly Recommended.

My book group also just finished this book. I found the advise prescribed invaluable. Such simple shifts of thought do truly amount to large shifts of how you perceive the world around you. It seemed to have something for everyone, as the number and breadth of topics are vast. This is one book I found totally worth purchasing.
