Overview

Gems and jewelry speak to Gemma Hewitt, inspire her designs, and send her across the globe to seek out historic pieces. After her mother is brutally murdered, Gemma inherits her famed jeweled collar, which she hopes will lead her to her mother's killer. Instead, she's thrown back to 1901 India where she sees a young woman about to be married with a pendant that matches the collar. When she's hired to find the entire bridal suite, she hopes she can use the jewels to save her family's fortune. Can she trust the handsome, enigmatic British reporter/photographer Raj Sinclair who promises to help her on her quest, or is he the one she should be running from?

Attracted to Gemma, Raj senses a connection with her as if he's known her forever. When danger stalks her, he will do anything to protect her. The treasure hunt takes them to cities from the US to Britain to France, ending in India where the bridal suite is finally rejoined... and three souls reincarnated from the British Raj get another chance to make things right.

Eyes of the Tiger by Patricia Rosemoor. Not my usual type of book but it was a good story. It had some of everything flashbacks to the past, intrigue, murder and assault, paranormal, romance. A long ago story of mixed in with the present. A well written story.

This is not the first book I have read by the author so I know her style of writing. Let me in on a secret so you know to be ready. She starts of slow and builds up ...She grabs you by the neck and has you within her grasps. Okay get it. I will say I thought this book was about shifters and the paranormal. That is my bad. It is about psychics. So i guess that is paranormal in some aspects and. Once I stopped looking for the shifting to happen, I settled in and had a great read. Hope this helps you enjoy Patricia Rosemoors new book. The characters of Gemma and Raj are two well written and strong characters. My issues are sometimes in the way our author flips the script in the book I get confused who the good guy is and who the bad guy was. Now that might be a "me" thing as i am dyslexic. So I caught myself re-reading chapters several times and outloud, in bed, at night. You can imagine driving Hubs nuts. BUT i will say the mystery of this book, the storyline, when it came together...for me it was well worth the work I had to do to figure out who was who at times. This is one of the reasons I read her books. I really liked getting to know India and the customs back in the early 1900s as well. Yes you will be able to see some thru her minds eyes. I do recommend this book. Just keep in mind what I said at the first.
