At eleven he was my first crush. At sixteen he became mine. At nineteen he broke my heart and destroyed me. That was ten years ago and the last time I saw Cole Ryan.

They say you never get over your first love...I beg to differ. I left my shattered heart buried in a town I never expected to return to. I erased every thought of him and buried the memories never to be found.

I moved on...now ten years later I have the perfect life, the perfect fiancé, the perfect career. Everything I ever wanted until I'm forced to go back and face my past and the man that destroyed me.

He won't stop until I know the truth no matter how hard I fight it. In the end, lies will be uncovered, hearts will be broken, and my life as I've come to know it destroyed.

**4 Stars** Rebecca Shea delivers an amazing read to us readers! Frankie and Cole’s story is one my heart needed when I read it. There is something about second chance romances that I love whole heartedly and this story was no different. Their story was addictive from page one. I was dying to know what happened that made them end what they had. After years of not seeing each they are brought together are unfortunate eventm but why and what happened when they ran into each other again? Were they still harboring old feelings for each other? The way they ended originally had me dying to know if there was more to their story. Rebecca wrote this story so that you were sucked in. I HAD to know what happened. Was it communication or just their time to be apart? I was seriously hooked from the first paragraph. I had to know what happened. I needed to see what happened. This book was no disappointment. Cole and Frankie have a love that is lasting and amazing. I couldn't get over Cole. The things he did/does that Frankie isn't even aware of is amazing. It was completely swoon worthy. I can't wait for more from Rebecca Shea!

This was an enjoyable second chances love story and I was held captivated by the story throughout. The story initially unfolds between the past and presence but the back and for flowed really well and wasn't too much. There was just enough drama and angst to give the story a kick and the characters were endearing and likeable. Where it fell a little short for me, was on the romance element between our two main characters. For me, they hardly seemed to spend any time together after the reconnection. I wished we had experienced more from them as couple towards the end. Overall a good, quick read - 3.5 stars I was provided with a copy of this book from the Publisher; there was no inducement or obligation.

4 1/2 out of 5 stars This book started with a touchy subject for me and I almost didn’t finish. My mom suffered a stroke 20 years ago and then passed away this last July. Having Frankie’s mom in that situation brought back a lot of memories and I wasn’t sure I could continue the book….Let me just say I am so, so glad I persevered because this book was so worth it!! Ms. Shea does an incredible job of bringing her characters to life and really putting the reader into the setting of the story. The sad, emotional journey that Frankie and Cole take is a typical for second chance romances, BUT different because the emotions seemed so much stronger. The book was paced really well and I felt like things were always moving - though sometimes I wasn’t fond of the direction they were going. The extras in this book also added a great deal to the story. Ted was an absolute jerk. I think that Carter and Faith need their own book. And as hard as it was in the beginning, the rest of the book just flowed right to the end when I was so, so sad it was over. *** I voluntarily read a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review ***

Angst heartbreak second chance friend to lover this had it all! I love and hate the unraveling of young love it’s so hard it destroys me. Sign me up I’m a sucker every time! You’re falling for Cole well I was , and Frankie oh Frankie you want to reach into the book and hug her. Just when you think it’s okay ... boom . I didn’t think I would feel emotional yet I am. Really enjoyed this. Also wouldn’t mind some Carter in the future possibly?

I say this every time about Rebecca Shea's work- the feels. I know I'm not prego. It's not that time of the month either. But no matter how hard I tried I could not fight the tears. Tears of joy, despair, longing...Tears of hopelessness, pain, loss, and heartbreak (not in that order either!) Fault Lines is such a descriptive way to explain this book. Just wow! There are some incredible quotes that would explain my vague comments but they need to be read in context in order to really feel them. Sigh. Love isn't always pleasant. Life isn't always fair. It seems these two know that fairly well. With friends and family helping them out, maybe they will learn to move on from the hurt...maybe not. "Except Cole will never be a scar— he'll always be a gaping wound on my heart that never heals." "This is how we will end. This is how we will crumble and dissolve, and my heart drops to my stomach." Hopefully this is the beginning of a series, there are a few more souls in this book that need their stories told. Fault Lines is a beautiful story with heartache, heartbreak, and love. You just need to decide which one will control your future. One final- but most important thing!!!!! I just need to say that as much as I love Cole. I have dibs on Carter. No, HE IS MINE!!!! He better get the award for most amazing friend ever. Just saying...
