Overview

Fear the Beard (Dixie Warden Rejects MC Series #2) by Lani Lynn Vale

Tally is a twenty-year-old single mother struggling to finish nursing school. Has she made mistakes in life? Sure, but her daughter isn't one of them. She works hard, she studies even harder, and she's only a few weeks away from graduating.
She's living her life the best she knows how when she witnesses a near miss motorcycle accident between a car and a biker. A biker that happens to be the most talked about teacher at her college.

The moment she meets those startling blue, narrowly-escaped-death eyes, she realizes quickly that life as she knows it has changed. No longer will she be content to let life pass her by, even if it puts everything she's worked so hard for in jeopardy.

***

Tommy is a highly skilled doctor. A teacher. A veteran. A fully-patched member of The Dixie Wardens MC. He's lonely, but also set in his ways. What will it take for this man to accept that he needs to make some changes in his life? Apparently, it'll take a guy in a truck, who's preoccupied with his phone rather than focused on the road, nearly plowing into him on his bike at seventy miles per hour. Oh, and a twenty-something year old nursing student witnessing the entire thing from only a few feet away.

It only takes a second, a single heartbeat in time, as he looks into her worry-filled eyes to realize that he'd give anything for a single night with her. He may lose his job in the process, but after that one incredible night turns into an amazing weekend, he knows it's worth the risk for the promise of her forever.

While the story wasn't as fast-paced as some of her others, I thought the flow worked well for the story the author was trying to tell. I really loved the characters and thought Lani Lynn Vale did a good job telling their story.

Love each one of her characters. Just keeps getting better.

Story is too slow, with typographical errors which happens a lot in the authors' other books.

***In answer to reader with the black pages. Call the nook support they can help you figure out problem, if not they will credit your money back.*** I love Lani's books, this one was no exception. I love how Dr. Tommy just steps up and helps Tally and her baby. There is still plenty of conflict, steamy loving, and some action to keep your interest. I like how the characters flow from one book to another so you can catch up on them as well. About 200 nook pages.****

I almost didn't get this book after reading the reviews, as some didn't like it, but I really did like it. I'll read it again, and probably again! There were some questions left unanswered but overall I recommend this book, and this series

Tally and Tommy are student/teacher and are not supposed to have a relationship. She is his nursing student and Tommy knows a relationship could be disastrous for both of them. Tommy has never had an issue remaining detached from his students before but struggles to ignore Tally. She is a single mother to an 8-month-old daughter, Tallulah. Tally also has a full-time job to support she and her daughter while attending school. Her ex is not a good father and his new wife is constantly trying to get custody or visitation with her daughter. Tommy falls in love with Tallulah at first sight and doesn't pretend otherwise. Both of them get stuck together for a few days when flash floods threaten their town. Giving in to their attraction is easy, keeping it a secret and doing the right thing for a few months proves harder than they realized. When Tommy starts getting looked into by the school administration for bogus claims, he knows someone close to Tally is up to no good. There were a few twists that kept me intrigued. Overall a good read. The ending was perfect for these 2 but still left me with a few unanswered questions.

Who say a motorcycle club member has to be all tough, rough, and hard??? Tommy is all that but he is also a doctor, a teacher, and a veteran. He has feelings, needs, and wants. Those wants happen to include Tally. Tally is his student who has a baby daughter. Together they are breaking rules, mending broken hearts, earning trust, and fixing wrongs of the past. In true Lani Lynn Vale style I devoured Tommy and Tally’s story. Their attraction was so sweet and hot but it was the interactions with Tally’s daughter that won me over. Tommy took her daughter in his arms the very first time they met and I became mush. He had no responsibilities to Tally or her daughter yet he took it upon himself to take care of them and to be there even when she didn’t know she would need him. When Tallulah touched Tommy’s beard and Tally smiled I knew it was all over for them both. There was no turning back and forgetting each other. Fear the Beard is part of a series but each book is its own entire story. The characters make appearances in each other’s story. Each book can be read as a standalone story.

I'll be honest she's not my favorite author. However I still enjoy her books, but this book was way to slow!! Half the time I was just thinking "when will this be over?" I feel like this book was made just to make money and she put no thought into writing! So disappointed

I enjoy LLV's books, but recently they've gotten predictable. Is the guy ex-military, have a beard, have tattoos, have a motorcycle? Check. Is one or both main characters in the medical profession? Check. Does one have a kid with a loser ex? Check. HEA and expecting baby at the end? Check. I understand it's a genre, but the monotonous and interchangeable characters and storyline is getting stale. Bring back variety and excitement!

My pages are solid black with no words and that does not change with changing any setting I just blew $3.99 for nothing
