Fellowship
Life in 1960 Fellowship America is tenuous. Still, high school senior, Ian Hobart, dreams of becoming a star reporter. Until one word, one symbol, changes his life forever.

One fall day in 1960 Fellowship America, Ian rides his bike home after his shift as copy boy. He is dreaming of the day he is a star reporter and can afford his own car, but all his dreams vanish at the sight of the Fellowship shield burned into the family's front door.

He can't believe it. Doesn't want to believe it.

The Fellowship's Angels of Death Took his parents and older brother.

And that can mean only one thing—he and his siblings will be next.

Pursued by Fellowship agents, Ian gathers his younger siblings and what supplies they can carry. They flee into the wilds of the Blue Ridge Mountains, where they rely on Ian's savvy and survival skills.

But life in the mountains is brutal and unforgiving. Resources are limited. Food is scarce. And winter is coming. They won't survive without help.

With no one else he can trust, Ian turns to his best friend.

And puts all their lives in danger.

About the Author

Author Lynette M. Burrows survived moving seventeen times between kindergarten and her high school graduation. This makes her uniquely qualified to write a dystopian adventure or two.

She enjoys coffee, the pleasure of real books, and the crack of a nine-millimeter, not all at the same time—but they all appear in her stories. Lynette writes thrilling science fiction with a dash of intrigue, a dollop of mayhem, and a liberal dose of automatic weapons. Her stories waken the unrealized hero within.

In Book One of the Fellowship Dystopia, My Soul to Keep, Miranda discovers dark family secrets, the brutality of the Fellowship, and the deadly reality of rebellion. Book two, If I Should Die, continues Miranda’s story with heart-wrenching choices and page-turning action.

Owned by two Yorkshire Terriers, Lynette lives in the land of Oz otherwise known as Kansas. When she’s not procrastinating by doing housework or playing with her dogs, she’s blogging or writing or researching her next book. You can find Lynette online at lynettemburrows.com, Facebook.com/LynetteMBurrowsAuthor, or on Twitter @LynetteMBurrows.
