Climate change is man-made, but caused by just a powerful few known as Druids.
When successful meteorologist Mason Griers is recruited to consult for a mysterious environmental firm, it's the perfect chance to put his lifetime obsession with violent weather to practical use. Solstice Inc. promises a new technology that can accurately predict, and possibly control, catastrophic weather events around the world. Too late however, Mason learns that Solstice is made up of high ranking and powerful Druids, and he's become an unwitting tool in the firm's dark plot that could remake the world on a scale not seen since the last great extinction.

Captivating! This reader was pulled in from the beginning. I have read many of Sakmyster's works and each time I am never disappointed. This was a magnificent thriller that will make you shiver, especially every time you hear thunder and see the flashing of lightning. The story is so well written, you can almost feel the ground move and see the lightning flash! I was on the edge of my seat and couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. The weather is being manipulated in order to kill and control the world by Solstice, and they've enlisted Mason. I highly recommend this book, as well as any books written by Sakmyster.
Magic-wielding malevolent druids bent on mayhem? Trust me, you won't want to miss this: a plot involving a ruthless megalomaniac and his (mostly) witting minions, against the few with power who realise what is going on. With the same relentless pace of the author's Morpheus thrillers, and a detailed and interesting take on druidic magic, this is a book full of powerful characters with their own aims and desires - and there's some help from beyond the veil too, as our main good guys realise their whole past and future is being manipulated, and must draw on everything they know, and plenty they don't fully understand.
