i was confused at first, because it goes back and forth between the past and the present. as you get involved in the story, it all comes together. i couldnt stop reading until i reached the end. i would definitely read more books by this author. i would recommend this book for discussions.

I dont understand everyones confusion about the story going from present to past, it was not confusing at all, all you need to do is read the title of the chapter! Great book, could not put it down!

Another feel good story from Catherine Anderson. Like another reader stated - you feel a wide range of emotions in this book. Characters and plot were well developed.

Very emotional book about a single mother who is trying to do what is best for her daughter. Throughout a great story, her life is completely turned around. This book made me feel a wide range of emotions, and while reading it I cried, laughed, smiled, and frowned. Overall a very inspiring book. After reading this book I had a changed opinion about rottweillers, and I actually went to a rescue and fostered one. The author does an excellent job in reaching the reader's emotions.

If you like happy endings as I do, you'll enjoy this one, bad things happened to this young mother, but then she meets a truly good guy, with a really lovable dog and all ends well.

This was a good read. Very well written. You are able to connect with the two main characters easily. It was very interesting for the story to be told from the past and present. **slight spoiler** My only issue is that Cathy's best friends so easily dropped her. I felt like that scenario could have had more story so it was more believable. I find her taking Sylvia back to be not believable.

A great psychological thriller! The author pulled you into the story. I felt like I was there with the main character, experiencing the horror of it all with her. Would make a thrilling movie.
