Incredible sleeper from an obscure small-church pastor from Lyme, Connecticut who was "outed" in Feg 2009 by Connecticut Magazine as "The Sinister Minister"), winner of the world's top horror/dark fiction prize for young readers in 2004, The Bram Stoker Award. He beat Dean Koontz to do it--a year after being named runner-up to JK Rowling's Harry Potter for the 2003 Bram Stoker Award. Now the Sinister Minister's new thriller, FreeK Camp (a super read for teens and adults), has sneaked in the back door and won the 2010 Best Beach Book Award at the NY Book Festival. It's also a frontrunner for the Hollywood Book Festival Award, the London Book Festival Award, and the New England Book Festival Award. This latest one seems sure to be a movie. Kids are eating up the adventures by this tiny, unheralded, self-published author.
