About the Author

Kristen Ashley grew up in Brownsburg, Indiana but has lived in Denver, Colorado and the West Country of England. Thus she has been blessed to have friends and family around the globe. Her posse is loopy (to say the least) but loopy is good when you want to write.

Kristen was raised in a house with a large and multi-generational family. They lived on a very small farm in a small town in the heartland and existed amongst the strains of Glenn Miller, The Everly Brothers, REO Speedwagon and Whitesnake (and the wardrobes that matched).

Needless to say, growing up in a house full of music, clothes and love was a good way to grow up.

And as she keeps growing up, it keeps getting better.

She would stop describing the clothes these women wear. She has the worst sense of out-dated fashion ever!

I love this series (actually all of her series), i really love the way KA draws the reader (me of course) into the lives of the people in the Burg. She draws you into the story and its almost like we are there. I like the fact that she keeps bringing back the people from her earlier stories into the current one we are now reading. I'm so glad I can start the next book in the series right away!

Mike Haines can see the Holliday farm from his balcony. But what he sees is his ex-girlfriends little sister Dusty Holliday. She was sweet, funny, and they had a special bond until Dusty went off the rails and left town immediately after graduation never to see each other again. Then when tragedy strikes Dusty comes back to town continuing to be the thoughtless selfish girl she was back then. Only Mike can't be further from the truth and Dusty constantly proves him wrong. Only to strike out with Dusty time and time again trying to protect himself and his kids. He needs to fix things and fast. Mike Haines is probably the most frustrating, warm, sweet, infuriating man Kristen Ashley created! I know he is just trying to protect himself but dang....How much does a woman need to prove herself for a man. Games of the Heart is full of family drama that it makes other families look like the Brady Bunch! Mike has drama coming from all angles; his ex-wife, ex-girlfriend, his daughter, new girlfriends ex boyfriend. Sheesh how much can one man take! Something Kristen Ashley never fails to do is make the reader fall hard for her characters, become deeply invested with the story and makes them feel like they are there.
