This is another winner by Eve Langlais! I love her humorous shifter romances. In her world, all kinds of animals can be shifters. This is the 4th in the Bitten Point series, set in the swamps around the town of Bitten Point. There are croc shifters, and python, and panther, and eagle, and various other kinds of shifter. The hero of this book, Wes Mercer, is a gator shifter from the wrong side of town. The heroine, Melanie, is a panther shifter. Wes and Melanie were high school sweethearts but “for her own good” Wes broke up with Melanie. She ended up marrying Andrew and becoming a trophy wife. Andrew is a bear shifter and mixed-race marriages are rarely fertile, so the company Bittech started to help them conceive. But through the earlier 3 books we learn that Bittech seems to be experimenting on shifters and not in a good way. They are breeding monsters trying to create a stronger or faster shifter, or a flying lizard shifter, and they are leaving dead bodies in their wake. Andrew is a manager at Bittech and so we wonder if he knows more than he is telling. In the last book the Bittech plant has been blown up. This book starts with Melanie shooting her husband as he tries to capture her. She escapes but Andrew captures her sons so she gives herself up. The book details the problems she and Wes have as prisoners at Bittech. Bittech uses chemicals to enhance their breeding program, and Melanie and Wes are strong shifters much desired for the program. The Bittech programs have created monsters, many driven insane, and killed many others. In the dramatic fight at the end, some of Caleb’s friends from Alaska (we met them in the Kodiak Point series that immediately preceded the Bitten Point series in release dates) have come to help conquer Bittech. They destroy the compound but one of the lead bad guys, Wes’s uncle Parker, has called the new stations and thereby outed the shifters. Life will be different from now on. And the book ends with a tantalizing hint of where the next series might be going. I can’t wait!

Fantastic way to end this arc. Once upon a time bad boy gator shifter Wes loved good girl cat shifter Melanie. He broke her heart and she married another. But Bitten Point is filled with secrets. Wes has his and so does Melanie’s husband. Everything comes to a head in this book and maybe Wes & Melanie will get it right this time. Another fast paced winner from the pen of Eve Langlais.

This book is so great, with awesome cameos from the Kodiak series. Lots of action, suspenseful and hot, it's a must read. Looking forward to reading about dragons.

Until now we've been outsiders looking in. Go into Bittech and see the depravity with Wes and Mel. This is a great ending to the Bitten Point series, with some old friends.

Eve has done it again in the conclusion of her bitten Point series. This series is freaking amazing and Gator's Challenge was not a book to disappoint. The fast quick pace of this book makes it hard to put down to even grab food. Wes and Melanie and their story keeps you trapped in the world that Eve Langlais spins in her stories she creates. You dont want to miss this book or series even with the unlikely hero shifters she has told you will get hooked. “Something dropped from above the door onto the nurse, something lunged at her from the floor, and amidst the screaming—lots of it comparing the twins to satanic imps escaped from hell—Melanie laughed. “There’s my good boys. Come see Mama.” Wes Mercer has always known Mercers are not good people. His brother Brandon and himself try to change what the local people think of them until he is given no choice do to what Bittech has on them. When faced with the one women he will never forget and sadly let go thinking he was doing what was best for her and her husband who has taken her kids and holding her captive his gator has one plan Kill them all. Just take a BIG bite. Melanie tried to get over Wes with her marriage to Andrew but her kitty knows that Wes was theirs no matter how much life changes. When she thinks he has helped her husband take her boys her mother side kicks in and she has to save them no matter what the cost. Can they live through all that is thrown at them and get out of this alive? Or will deadly secrets of Bittech be unearth on the modern world? “I should, seeing as how I’m hungry, annoyed, and your antics are reminding me why being a vegetarian is overrated.” “Your kind don’t eat humans.” Despite her claim, the nurse pulled at the iron grip Wes had on her wrist. “My kind eats whatever the $%@# it wants, and we know how to not leave a trace behind. So, human” —amazing”
