About the Author

Kelli Bronski is a graduate of Cornell University’s prestigious School of Hotel Administration, a ten-plus year veteran of the hospitality and restaurant business, and a lifelong baker and cook. She lives in Boulder, Colorado, with her husband and coauthor, Peter Bronski.

Peter Bronski is the coauthor of Artisanal Gluten-Free Cooking and Artisanal Gluten-Free Cupcakes and founder of the blog No Gluten, No Problem. Despite his celiac disease, he enjoys adventure sports, is a former Xterra off-road triathlon U.S. national championship competitor, and is currently an ultramarathoner.

One of my favorite activities is to pick up new cookbooks to add to my repertoire. I especially search for useful tips I can use in my gluten-free kitchen and simple but scrumptious recipes.  Most of my old cookbooks have had to be passed on as I have found that I am allergic to gluten and soy and my son is gluten-sensitive. I'm also a pescetarian aka a vegetarian who eats fish. BRAVO! Gluten-Free Family Favorites perfectly fits the bill for us and will be a permanent addition to my bookshelf. It contains 75 recipes that are all gluten-free, just the thing for those who have celiac, gluten sensitivity or wheat sensitivity or who just want to eat gluten free. The authors have also included substitutions in most of the recipes for other common allergens such as soy (Yay!), dairy, eggs, simple sugars, and more. I'm IMPRESSED! All the recipes appear to be simple to make - there are no long lists of ingredients here! The recipes are meant to be used by and appeal to children and adults alike. There are loads of scrumptious-looking illustrations.  Here's just a sample of some recipes that are included which I MUST try so you will have an idea of the diversity included in this book: sweet potato pancakes and puree, French toast sticks, cashew cream, a rainbow of smoothies, hummus, brussels bites, breaded zucchini chips, cashew coconut chip squares, marinara sauce, corn chowder, chocolate peanut butter brownies, angel food cupcakes with raspberry sauce and whipped cream, waffle cones, rice pudding, vanilla and chocolate puddings, and chocolate hot fudge sauce. Mmmmm! Is your mouth watering yet? Mine is!  I really like this cookbook and think it's perfect for young and old who crave simple, delicious, healthy food.  5 STARS!
