The story is great! Loved the length (753 pages) and it's a good romance with drama and intrigue mixed in. There are many grammatical errors. The wrong use of words is a frequent occurance in the book, but since it's free, I was able to get past these. Loved the heroine and the "bad guys". It's well worth the time to read it!!

Wow this was, no offense, surprisingly good. The beginning starts to get a little tedious and then BAM! The story develops. I like not knowing where the story'll lead. The author's "zombies" and ghosts were truly unique. I liked that the characters remained pretty believable throughout the story. Fans of Terri Garrey are sure to love this author. I can hardly wait for the second novel in this series to come out; hopefully it will be another freebie?

Very worth the download. Its about 700 pages of a very new fun look on the afterlife. Read it.

I really loved how this book started with great character development. I always overlook spelling errors and wrong word use since I am not a good writer and this book does not have a large company and editor behind it. Constructively, I would like to tell the author that I was disappointed in the short build up to the suspense and short ending. I kept looking at the page numbers as I got closer to the end wondering when it would build up to a climax. Once the climax was reached there was no, and I'll say it, "cuddling" after the climax was resolved and it could have used a little more foreplay before the climax. As I said the characters were developed remarkably, I love the new takes on vampires, and zombies and ghosts. But the way the story developed was like watching two people in a bar telling each other their life story falling in love in the bar with lots of talking, then suddenly they're back home climaxing without foreplay or cuddling afterwards. I really did feel like the ending deserved more than 30-40 pages with 700 pages building up to it. Now I could be so wrong to say any of this and the next book in the series is going to rock just as well as this one did and give some resolve and continue with an even bigger climax. I hope so, cause I've bought it and I plan to read it tonight. Good job Rodgers. I will be reading more if you keep writing.

The story is decent, but between typos and florid language it desperately needs to be edited.

Had my attention beginning to end. Unique characters, and iloved that it was a full book and not a short story. I would read more of this author.

This was an entertaining read but VERY POORLY edited! Numerous typos on every page. Definitely distracting at times and made me feel like I was proofreading a creative writing assignment.

Might have even gone 5 stars if it weren't for the spelling and misused words. Smashwords needs to do a better job at editing. Some times totally wrong words that sound like the right words were used forcing the reader to interpret the writer's intentions. That's the only thing that kept me from giving this book 5 stars.

I agreed with another reviewer who said, "Wow, this was really good!" The author's zombies and ghosts were realistic and engaging. I highly encourage you to read it. A stand alone book but there is a sequel.

This is a pretty good story. However, if the author had developed the action and the story line bettr, it would make for a better read.
