Look for E L James’ passionate new love story, The Mister, available now.

Christian Grey exercises control in all things; his world is neat, disciplined, and utterly empty—until the day that Anastasia Steele falls into his office, in a tangle of shapely limbs and tumbling brown hair. He tries to forget her, but instead is swept up in a storm of emotion he cannot comprehend and cannot resist. Unlike any woman he has known before, shy, unworldly Ana seems to see right through him—past the business prodigy and the penthouse lifestyle to Christian’s cold, wounded heart.

Will being with Ana dispel the horrors of his childhood that haunt Christian every night? Or will his dark sexual desires, his compulsion to control, and the self-loathing that fills his soul drive this girl away and destroy the fragile hope she offers him?

This book is intended for mature audiences.

I feel like E L James conned everyone into believing this newest installation of her wildly successful saga was worth purchasing. I want every cent of my money back. This book was absolutely horribly written. Instead of actual insight into Christian's life and thoughts, we got a poorly written rewrite of the very first FSOG. I wouldn't have minded so much if the book wasn't verbatim. It's like reading from a history book ad nauseum. It just went on and on. I couldn't even finish the book. B&N should really consider refunding this book to any and everyone who has purchased it. This book was a halfhearted attempt to breathe new life into a franchise that is already dead. You had a good run with FSOG, now let's see what else you can do. And don't get me started on that travesty of a movie and is horrible cast. The only reason this got one star was so I could post my review.

Yes, the book is very repetitive and there is a lot of texts that are word for word from the Fifty Shades of Greybook...but why wouldn't there be? I knew before I read this book to expect to be rereading events and words from the first. That being was still a great view into Christian's world present and past. Sex scenes were still good but not as good as from Ana's point of view, but I also expected that. What I wanted from this book it delivered. I want to see Christian develop, learning a new way to think, feel, and behave. His dreams gave an amazing insight into his childhood and his thoughts gave us a good hard look into his relationship with Elena (bleh). It seems that he was already addressing his past with her in a new light. I thought that he didn't revise his thinking until their final meeting in Fifty Shades Free. All-in-all I think it was a fun read, if a bit repetitive, but I would read it fact I'm starting again now!

I was excited to read Christian's point of view. And it was good. However, 70% of the book reverberates word for word the Fifty Shades of Grey book. I understand that there is going to be similarities but I would have preferred more of his thoughts than an entire replay of the first book. The end of the book was good because it is his thoughts only and new. I think his view on all 3 books could have been summed up in one book if it wasn't for so much redundancy of the first book.

Long awaited and revealing. I read this story straight through. Reading this love story through Christian's voice made this series complex and as deep as a man's soul.

I could not wait to read this book and EL did not let us down. Christian is so complex and seeing his interactions with the other people in his life is really great. I just hope she writes his persepctive for the other two books. Please don't keep us waiting EL somehow I think they are already written and maybe she is waitng for Ana's birthday in September! You won't be disappointed.

This one was just as amazing as the others. It immediately transported me into that world. I laughed and I cried. I am hoping that she decides to do the others from his point of view, it gave me a whole new understanding of Christian and I would love to know what he was thinking during so many more dramatic scenes throughout the series!

I wasn't a fan of the first book. That's because I felt that everything was being told through Ana's eyes. If you are going to call the book, Fifty Shades Of Grey, give me more of Christian. In the movie, I saw his heart, but I found myself wondering what was going on in his mind. I got my wish with this book. I was rewarded with for every sentence about what was happening, a glimpse inside the man that made me wish he was real. This book is a must read for a fan and even somebody who only seen the movie and never read a book. It gives a fresh spin on the story and even more so, gives you another reason to root for Ana and Christian as a couple.

Kind of a let down. I knew it would be the same story, but I would have liked more of his point of view and thoughts. If she does write the other 2 books from Grey's side I hope it is better.

This is pretty identical to the other books, very little new information, and not much from his perspective until the end of the book. Somewhat disappointing....

The paperback is 9.98 and the Nook version is 9.99??? That's ridiculous. When I first read the series, each book was 2.99. I can't on principle purchase this. I'll wait till. Not to mention it's gotten pretty lame reviews so far.

Have only read the 1st page; but, will give it 5 stars anyway!!! I've read all 3 of the first books and even though I do not believe sex should cause pain, I see these books as a fantasy about something most of us would not abide in real life. I've always seen the main theme of these books as child abuse - remember, Christian was abused twice - once at 5 and again at 14. Thank you, Ms. James, I love your books - keep writing!

I'm not sure if it's because I haven't read the trilogy in a while but this book felt completely different to me! Obviously the same things happened but Christian viewed things completely different than how Ana viewed them.. I loved this book and really really hope she continues the rest of the trilogy from Christians point of view! I definitely recommend this book

Thank you thank you EL James I am one of your many fans who begged for this book and you did not disappoint. I loved Christian's POV! Please please do the other two! The narrator on the audiobook really brought Christian to life.

I loved this! Hearing this story from Christians perspective has been a joy. Yes's the  same  story but from the side that we all wanted  to hear. I was impressed at how well she was able to keep it all together  in her writingI knew exactly what Anna was thinking because I had read the first books. I can't wait for the second and third. It will be a COMPLETE   story when they are all done.

I enjoyed reading Christian's side of the story. I usually don't read stories that have a lot of sex or when the "F" word is used a lot. But there is something about Christian and Ana's love story which I found fascinating and I loved reading all the books in the Fifty Shades of Grey series.

I highly suggest re-reading 50 Shades before'll be fresh in your head, when you really delve into Christians mind set!

I really wasn't sure if a book could be written about the same story from a different view & be as exciting and stimulating as the original. Boy oh boy was I surprised this is an absolute must read for any and all 50 shades of grey fans. I hope she continues with the rest of the story from Christian's point of view.

I don't understand why people are so upset by the fact that it was like the other books. .of course it is, it's the same story from Christians point of view. .hello captain obvious. .but now that, that is said..I loved it!!.. I can't wait to read the next one!

I agree completely! I was expecting the same , this is supposed to be his story and as he points out many times it started before Ana, so why does this completely reiterate the first book? To be honest with myself I wasn't expecting much when it comes to actual writing, her first books were painful to read, he said, she said, he said, and the storyline is hilarious but at least it was a fun guilty pleasure read. That's what I was at least hoping for this time, some back story that maybe started with Elena and yes eventually his thoughts on Ana. Instead we get to pay $10 for the same book and just when she starts to give his character some depth she has to put in that God awful line every couple pages "it's just a pretty face sweetheart " Ughhhhh! Can you make him anymore unrelateable? And yes she really does take up God knows how many pages with that damn contact again and again. I'm a firm believer in making my own decisions on books and movies, this one however really makes me wish I had read the reviews and kept my money. If you need to have some Fifty before the next movie ( that I'm praying will be better but between her and her husband calling the shots I'm going in with very low expectations!) just reread the first. Thats what you would be doing anyway!
