To answer anyone's question before purchasing this book: no, this book does not have any illustrations, but it does possess one single portrait of the author, Andersen; that is all. This collection, however, is well complete (since it has one of his earliest found works that most editions lack, The Tallow Candle). I recommend this to any fairy tale and or Andersen fan, should they want an affordable edition that will last the ages.
