Overview

Hard to Hold by Nicole Edwards

Wolfe Caine and his cousin Lynx know the small town of Embers Ridge like the backs of their hands. They grew up here, started more than their fair share of trouble on these back roads. They've been called wild, untamable, even crazy at times. And they're okay with that.

Settling down has never been in Wolfe's plan, but that was before they caught his eye. As far as Wolfe's concerned, the two of them together ... that's his greatest temptation.

Getting close to either of them is difficult. But when Wolfe gets them both in his grasp, he's determined he's going to hold on, no matter how hard that proves to be.

Nicole Edwards is an amazing writer, and usually she doesn't do cliffhangers, but despite the fact that this book had one, it was still a great story. Thank you Nicole for giving us another wonderful book. It was hot, hot, hot!!!

Hard to Hold is book one in Nicole Edwards new two book Caine Cousin Series, set in the small town of Ember Ridge where we get introduced to Wolf Cain and his cousin Lynx. Wolf and Lynx work hard and play hard and let's to be honest no one writes a hot, steamy ménage like Nicole Edwards, but this book is not only smoking hot it's also a brilliant love story. Amy is new to town and Wolf catches her eye but so does Rhys the local Sheriff, could all her dreams about to come true, one man is good but two men are better ! The chemistry between the characters in this book is sizzling but as with all of this authors books it's not just about the physical attraction, there is a story to be told and that story could break or make them when Amy's past comes back to haunt them all, will the men in Amy's life be able to protect her guess you need to read the book to find that out. This book does have a cliffhanger but I understand we won't have to wait too long for book two. This is a beautifully written love story that covers sensitive issues, once again Nicole Edwards has given us another 5 star Start to a new series.

This is book 1 in Nicole Edward’s exciting new Caine Cousins series set in the small town of Embers Ridge and what a way to start. A fair warning that this book sort of ends on a cliff hanger but don't worry you will not have to to wait long for the next book. This is the story of Wolfe, Amy and Rhys and oh boy what a story this was. No one does menage like Nicole Edwards. This book was exactly what I have come to expect from one of her books it was smoking hot menage at it's finest. There is also mystery and intrigue in Hard To Hold which kept me riveted to the pages. Once I started this book I didn't want to put it down. Amy has secrets that she must keep, otherwise it could cost her her life and those of the men she has come to care for. Wolfe and Rhys are strong determined men who want to protect her and will do whatever it takes. When Amy's past comes back to haunt her, will she leave the men she loves and make a run for it or will she stay and fight for what she deserves? Once click and you will find out. As with all previous books written by Ms.Edwards, this one was well written and the story line captivating. Not only do the hot and steamy scenes capture and keep your attention, but the danger adds another element. I cannot wait for the next book to see what happens.

No ending? Some times is not wise to stretch the book just to make another sale

If you’re already a fan of Nicole Edwards then you know the ride you’re in for  If you haven’t been introduced to Nicole’s books yet, pick this one up, you will not be disappointed. Amy is trying to start over in the small town of Embers Ridge, on the run from her abusive ex. She tries not to bring attention to herself but fails horribly when she falls not only for the sexy cowboy, Wolfe but also for the sexy sheriff, Rhys. I enjoyed the dynamic between all three characters and loved the way they treated Amy. Even though towards the end of the book some characters cross over from her other series, it is not necessary to read those beforehand. Simply put this is Nicole Edwards at her best. I cannot wait to dive into the second book and see how this all plays out.

Another excellent read by Nicole Edwards. Well written story with excellent character development. There was romance, mystery and suspense until the very end. I have read all of this authors books and she has never left us with such a cliff hanger. Make sure you purchase both books in the Caine brothers series before you start this book. Waiting for the sequel to be published was AGONY

I hate cliff hangers

I enjoyed this book as much as all of Nicole's other books. Yes, the story ends with a cliffhanger, but the 3 main characters find their HEA by the end. I can't wait for the next book to see how everything turns out.

I just love this author's work. I also love how all her series are interrelated in some way, and characters from the other series pop in for a visit. This author also writes some super steamy menage stories. If she writes it, I will buy it, they are that good. And this book doesn't disappoint. The story is about Amy, a young woman on the run, Wolfe, and Rhys. These three a so hot and right for each other. I loved all three of them. I just couldn't put the book down and can't wait for the next book in the series.

Great story! I'm a big fan of a good menage and Nicole Edwards definitely gives a good read in that genre! This book has it all - a great overall story, a great relationship story and lots of good characters - both main and secondary. The big overall story is of course the mystery surrounding Amy and her past. The relationship side of things between Wolfe, Rhys and Amy is HOT!! Loved it. Be aware though that this is a 2 book story arc so although we are left with a HFN ending for the trio, the rest of the story continues in book 2. Looking forward to it for sure and cannot wait to see where the story takes us with the other cousin Lynx...However if you are like me and have a dislike for cliffies you might want to wait for book 2 to read the whole thing together. Luckily book 2 will be out next month! Yay!! I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

A Nicole Edwards story like no other Nicole Edwards story!! Nicole Edwards has delivered yet another sexy, steamy, sassy, suspenseful, but most of all emotionally stirring story with Hard to Hold, the first book in the Caine Cousins series. Hard Hold features two very gorgeous, dominate, alpha male cowboys, one who happens to be the sheriff, Rhys Trevino, and the other just happens to be related to those fabulous Walker Brothers, Wolfe Caine, and Amy Smith, one very lovely lady who appears to be have a secret. Yet, despite Amy trying to hide her secret and go about things as inconspicuously as possible, Wolfe and Rhys sense that Amy is hiding something, and it makes them feel very protective of her, even before they really get to know her. Hard to Hold was a wonderful read about three people learning and discovering who they are and what they truly wanted in a relationship...and trying to find their way to an HEA. Amy, Wolfe and Rhys are absolutely perfect for each other. Hard to Hold starts out slower than most other Nicole Edwards books, but then the story just takes off and keeps you holding on to the edge of your seat..and hoping for a particular ending. Hard to Hold does have a story line that may present triggers for some people, but it is a subject that does not get enough attention or rather, I should say, the aftereffects of what a person who has experienced what Amy has experienced and what it does to a person's psyche, does not get enough attention. I applaud Nicole Edwards for tackling this subject matter in the way that she did, and she did not hold back either. Hard too Hold, which takes place in a small town by the name of Embers Ridge, which some of us avid Nicole Edwards readers may have heard of before...Dead Heat Ranch series, anyone?, introduces us to a whole new batch of characters, including Lynx Caine, Wolfe Caine's cousin who is more like a brother to him, as well as Reagan Trevino, Rhys' sister and Amy's boss, but we also get to see some of our favorite Nicole Edwards' characters, like Travis Walker. So, hold on to your seats and prepare to read a Nicole Edwards' story that is like no other Nicole Edwards' story you have read before. I cannot wait for book 2 in this series. Great job on this one, Nicole Edwards!

4.5 stars for - Hard To Hold - book one in the Caine Cousin series by Nicole Edwards. This book is the first of at least two featuring a smoking hot MMF romance between the town sheriff, a gorgeous local with a chip on his shoulder and a beautiful, but skittish woman who only recently moved into town. Reader discretion is advised as this book holds nothing back including smoking hot man on man loving. Wolfe Caine owns and operates his own business and tends to keep to himself. Any romance he takes part in is usually of the one night variety and that has always suited him until he meets the new waitress at Reagan's bar. There is just something about her that calls to him, but it seems he's not the only one interested in her... Rhys Trevino is the sheriff of Ember's Ridge and while he never aspired to that position being elected as sheriff is a job he loves. The only drawback is having to maintain a very discrete social life. Rhys sexual preferences being town gossip is the very last thing he wants, but he can't help who he is attracted to... Amy Smith has lived in Ember's Ridge for the last three months and started working for both the diner and Reagan's bar about a month ago. Amy is a hard worker that tries to keep to herself and avoid any type of extra attention. So when both the sheriff and Wolfe Caine start paying a lot of attention to her she has no idea what to think... This was a intense, emotional and spicy story that left me wanting more! Between all the mystery / danger mixed with the smoking hot sexy times I had this one read in less than a day. Can't wait for book two in July :)

What can I say, nobody writes a hot, sensual and steamy menage like Nicole Edwards, nobody! But no matter how smokin’ hot it is there is always such a fantastic story there too and seriously awesome character development. Wolfe, Rhys and Amy are clearly meant for each other. They all feel it almost immediately. The chemistry and connection the three of them share is simply undeniable as well as unparallelled. There is no way they cannot act on it. The protective qualities that Amy triggers in both Wolfe & Rhys is everything Amy needs as you find out more about her and learn about her past. Although this book deals with a sensitive issue, it is handled with grace. Without giving anything away, I love the nods to a certain author in this book as well as a visit from some very special people towards the end. 5 plus stars for another deliciously hot and sexy read!!!!!

How can you resist a Nicole Edwards book Hard to Hold, the first of two books in the Caine Cousin series, centers around Wolfe and his cousin Lynx Caine, cousins of the Walker’s in a story of their own. The story takes place in the small town of Ember Ridge where everyone knows everyone else and their business. A new comer like Amy does not go unnoticed by the cousins. Wolfe seems to pay special attention to Amy which is fine with her since he certainly catches her attention as well. There is another man who notices Amy, Sheriff Rhys Trevino, but Amy has a secret and isn’t sure she wants to be noticed by the Sheriff. Amy works at Reagan’s, a bar owned by Rhy’s sister, so she can’t avoid him, but Rhy can tell she has a secret and he wants to know what that is. Amy isn’t the only person to catch his attention, but will he be able to make both of them notice him the way he wants to be noticed and can the three of them work things out to be together? Well, you will have to read the book to find out. I’m glad I did, but the story does end in a bit of a cliffhanger and that makes me a little crazy. Some of the story is wrapped up, but other parts are just getting started. And what about Lynx you may ask, well, he will be addressed in the sequel, Hard to Handle, coming out in July. I can’t wait to read that one too.

Hard To Hold is a sexy Menage between Wolf, Amy & Rhys. Wolf & Rhys grew up in the same small town of Embers Ridge. Wolf and his cousin Lynx are cousins of the Walker Family. Rhys is the local sheriff. Amy moves to Embers Ridge to hide from an abusive & nearly deadly relationship. Both Wolf & Rhys are attracted to Amy and are also attracted to each other. Amy becomes the focal point of a developing relationship where all three must learn to trust each other and overcome the fear and social stigmatism. The sex is hot and erotic. As soon as I finished reading this book, I immediately wanted to re-read it. One of the great things about Nicole Edward's books is that characters from other series visit. This book is a spinoff of the Alluring Indulgence & Coyote Ridge series. This book is Part one of the two part series, has a cliff hanger and I can't wait to read Part 2 coming out in July to not only see how the threat to Amy is resolved but to read about Lynx's romance with Rhys' sister Reagan. As always, Nicole Edwards tackles difficult and sensitive subjects with grace, understand, love & acceptance. I highly recommend the book!

Amy works at the local bar and a diner. She's sweet, beautiful, and easily spooked. Wolfe builds furniture with his cousin. Sexy, protective and looks good in jeans. Rhys is the county sheriff, good looking and wants both Amy and Wolfe. When Amy's past returns she must choose to keep hiding or stand up for herself along with most of the town. Ok I don't know what to write because I don't want to give anything away. Lets just say lots of sex, mm, mf, mfm. Get ready to have your fingers scorched! You don't want to miss this new series. *voluntarily reviewed book for author*

The Caines are cousins of the walker brothers. We start out meeting Wolfe and Lynx. These two are trouble with a capital T. They are also cousins and do everything together and sometimes share women. When they would go to the diner or the bar after work, Wolfe notices a pretty new girl named Amy. For some reason he wanted to know her better. Rhys who is the sheriff of their town follows shortly behind them. He notices Amy right away and wonders what her story is. Wolfe hasn't been with a man in a long time but can't stop thinking about the sheriff. Wolfe eventually talks Amy into being their secretary at their woodworking shop. Eventually, Wolfe gets her to the point where she trusts him and she finally begins to tell her story. The sheriff and Wolfe have already been together because the moment was too strong. The two of them finally get Amy by herself and just want to make need her feel good. They work on her a little at a time!! . This story has all the feels but does have a cliffy!! I wasn't too pleased to see it!! All in all this story is so good, I couldn't put it down. The ménage comes later in the book than usual because of Amy's past. Amy's past does come back to haunt her just like in her nightmares!! Being with Wolf and Rhys does help them though because she finally feels safe. Just like all of Nicole's books, I would recommend This book anybody. It does have some triggers which Nicole covers in the very beginning. If you like ménage this is definitely one you need to read!

Nicole Edwards has done it again. Amy is hiding from a powerful, abusive ex in Ember Ridge. She has caught the eye of Wolfe and Rhys both who grew up in Ember Ridge and whose families have a feud. Soon all three are starting to fall in love and figure out this relationship thing. Amy is a strong woman who was hurt by life and her ex, as soon as Wolfe, Rhys, Wolfe's Family, and Rhys's sister find out they are there for her and she begin to heal.

I love reading menages, especially Nicole's menages and I absolutely love all of her books. I had many thoughts while reading this book the first major one was when I got to the part where Amy asked if this situation was like one of those Nicole Edwards books, Rhys asks her who in the heck is Nicole Edwards while Wolfe asks her just what kind of books has she been reading. Freaking hilarious!! Just perfect. So, without giving away too much, Amy is hiding from an abusive ex-boyfriend. She was with him for 5 years and was abused by him for all of that time, and at the end of this time, he tried to kill her and actually left her for dead but she was rescued. Why did she stay with him all of that time you ask?? Well that's her story to tell you and she does in flashbacks, so you need to read the book for yourself. She sets up her residence in Ember's Ridge and has lived here for a year now, working 2 jobs and that's how she meets Wolfe, Lynx, Rhys and Reagan. Wolfe and Lynx are cousins and own a furniture business, where they make and sell them. They are also cousins to the Walker boys. Rhys is the town sheriff and Reagan is his sister who owns the bar where Amy works. Wolfe and Rhys have already been having an attraction to each other and since they are both bisexual, they have also both been having attractions to Amy but she has a hard time in trusting again. But that is what this story is about, the three of them learning to let go, learning to love and learning to trust. The story eventually comes down to Wolfe and his family along with Rhys and Reagan, attempting to keep Amy safe from the psychopath who is out to destroy her. Besides the drama, there are many humorous situations and some very hot sex scenes. I mean it's a menage, come on, what did you expect?? Please note: The book ends on a sort of cliffhanger which continues in Book 2, coming out in July. This will be Lynx and Reagan's story.

18 years and older - M/F/M menage Wolfe and Lynx are cousins and grew up in the small town of Embers Ridge. They are well known for their wild side and trouble seems to follow them. They are definitely not ones to back away from a good fight. Rhys is the local sheriff. His sister, Reagan owns the bar in town. Amy Smith, new in town, is running from her past and settles in Embers Ridge and is working for Reagan at the bar. She was tired of running and looking over her shoulder and seemed to find a little peace there. Could it be one of the sexy, trouble making cowboys that makes her feel safe? Or could it be the local sheriff has caught her eye too? Rhys knows something is off with Amy and his protective instincts as a sheriff kicks in. Both Wolfe and Rhys have their eye on Amy for more reasons than to try and find out why she has fear in her eyes. When the three of them finally get together, their lives are forever changed...................... Nicole has been my go to author for a long time. Every book she has written gets better and better. The sex scenes she creates are definitely "hot as hexx", but I crave the storylines. I love that she includes characters from her other books into the new series. It keeps the characters alive and keeps you coming back for more. This is absolutely a must read if you are a Nicole Edwards fan and if you love menages

PLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY, THIS BOOK SUCKS. I personally have Every book she and her people write, not to mention have read most of them two and three times. This is a very poorly wrtten book, which dropped you off a cliff with NO ENDING. How sad, poor writting Ms Edwards people....save your money. There are plently of good authors out there. M
