Christmas is the worst time of the year to find yourself alone. Chris Moss, owner of a tree farm, knows this down to his bones as he makes his way through his first holiday season after losing his wife to cancer. When Wade Hart, an annual customer at the farm, visits, they find common ground: Wade lost his own longtime lover to a parting of ways and is lonely too. The constant, gentle companionship provides fertile soil for an attraction neither expects, but nurturing a new relationship is a tough proposition. With the encouragement of family and friends, Chris and Wade may yet find that a second love later in life can be just as fulfilling as the first.

Would highly recommend.
Nicely done with a Christmas flavor. Chris and Wade are both working their way through loss. The book feels like it deals with only Chris's loss and coming to a place where he's ready to move on with his life. Wade's is every bit as painful, but seems to be ignored for the most part. I loved how honest these two are with one another. Chris explains what he's thinking, no running away and leaving Wade to figure out things. Wade impressed me, he understands Chris's struggles and reassures him that their normal and he's willing to wait until both of them are on the same page before moving their relationship further. This was a nice holiday story. I thought it would be more emotional considering both the characters were just out of long term relationships (one becoming a widower). And it would have been nice to see more family interaction. But all in all it was a cute story.
