Herodias est une nouvelle écrite par Gustave Flaubert qui parait pour la première fois en 1877 dans le recueil "Trois contes" (La légende de saint Julien l'Hospitalier, Hérodias et Un c¿ur simple) qui est sa dernière production romanesque achevée. C'est une reprise du mythe de Salomé, personnage biblique ayant inspiré peintres et écrivains. Flaubert choisit pour héroïne éponyme Hérodias, la mère de la jeune danseuse.
